Abstract
The invention regards a mask with a removable pair of goggles. Clean air can be breathed through an air filter, separated from the contaminated air from automobile exhaust gas and yellow sands, while enjoying cycling and inline skating. It is an economical and environmentally friendly mask because only the air filter requires replacement, by opening and closing the mouth area only without removing the mask, eating and talking are made more convenient. Additionally, the goggles can be placed on or removed from the nose of the body easily so that eyes are protected from contaminated air and alien materials, enhancing safety and convenience of the user.

- Not applicable.
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The conventional mask has one opening for both nose and mouth. Therefore, the mask must be removed, when the nose and mouth are used for eating or talking.
- 2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98.
- The conventional mask has one opening for both the nose and mouth. Therefore, the mask must be removed for eating or talking.
- To solve the problems of these conventional products, the mask body (100) of the present invention is made by plastic injection molding according to the shape of the nose and mouth, allowing the mouth area (200) to open and close. The air filter (103) is removable from the mask body (100) so new air filters can replace the air filter (103) when required. Additionally, the height-adjustable goggles (300) can be put on or removed on the nose of the mask body to protect eyes from alien materials, such as yellow sands. The purpose of this mask is for convenience and prevention of contaminated air breathing, through air filter (103) when breathing air and through check valve sheet (202) when exhausting air.
- The invention regards a mask with removable goggles. Clean air can be breathed through the air filter from the surrounding contaminated air from automobile exhaust gas and yellow sands, while cycling and inline skating. It is economical and environmentally friendly because only the air filter need to be replaced in the mask to prolong service life. Eating or talking is made conveniently by opening and closing the mouth area only, without removing the goggle portion of the mask. Additionally, the goggles can be put on or removed from the nose of the mask body easily so that eyes are protected from contaminated air and alien materials, enhancing the safety and convenience of the user.
- The goggles of the present invention filters contaminated air such as car exhaust gas and yellow sand through air filter (103) of the mask, while the user does recreational activity, such as cycling and inline skating on the road and outdoors. The mask (1) is made by plastic injection molding according to the shape of nose and mouth. The mouth area (200) of the mask should allow opening for the user's airway. The mask can be used conveniently without removing the goggle potion of the mask even when eating or making conversation during outdoor activities. The air filter is removable and can be exchange for new filters.
- Sun glasses are not necessary to be worn because the goggle portion remains on the nose of the mask body (100) of this invention.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the mask of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is the perspective view of the conventional mask. -
FIG. 3 is a front elevation view of the mask without the goggle portion. -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the mouth area, showing an open position. -
FIG. 5 is rear elevation view of the goggle mask of the present invention. -
FIG. 6 is an exploded perspective view of the goggle mask of the present invention. - Symbols in Figure: Mask (1), Plastic Mask Body (100), Goggle Fixing Hole (101), Air breathing Hole (102), Air Filter (103), Air Filter Fix Projection (104), Mouth Area (200) that can be opened, Mouth Area Plastic Frame (201), Exhaust Check Valve Sheet (202), Exhaust Check Valve Sheet Cut Area (202 a), Check Valve Sheet Cover (203), Goggle (300), Goggle Column (301), and Goggle Height Adjustment Projection (302)
- The present invention is explained in details through the drawings attached to this invention.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the goggle attachment of this invention. Indoors and outdoors, clean air is available through air breathing holes (102) of air filter (103) from contaminated air, including exhaust gas and yellow sands. Air is exhausted through the exhaust check valve sheet (202). - The goggles (300) are positioned on the nose of the mask body (100), which is height adjustable.
-
FIG. 2 is perspective view of the conventional mask. -
FIG. 3 is the front elevation view of the mask with the goggles removed. - In this invention, the mask can be used without the goggles when the goggles are not required. The eyes are protect from alien materials such as yellow sands by removing the goggle from the Mask and do not need to wear sun glasses.
- Multiple height adjustable holes (101) are established on the nose of the plastic molded mask body (100) and projections (302) on the goggle column (301) inserted on the nose of the mask. The goggle is made to adhere closely to the face using a board spring with tension as a column.
-
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the mask with mouth open. - The mask (1) of the invention can be used conveniently because eating or talking can be accomplished without removing the mask. By opening the mouth area (200), the mouth area can open and close, where the exhaust check valve sheet (202) is established.
- The edges of the check valve sheet (202) are attached to the plastic frame (201) of the mouth area (200), and the check valve sheet (202) is cut from the middle to the edges in order to breathe more easily. When breathing air, cut parts (202 a) are adhered closely to plastic frame (201) and the check valve sheet (202) is closed. The air can be breathed through the air filter (103).
-
FIG. 5 is the rear elevation view of the present invention. -
FIG. 6 is the exploded perspective view of the invention. - Air filter (103) can be attached to or removed from the air breathing holes (102) of the mask body (100) and is replaceable. Inside of the mask body, there are air filter fix projections (104). In the mouth part of the mask, the exhaust check valve sheet (202) is established and there is a cover (203) to protect the check valve sheet (202). The removable goggles (300) can be positioned on the nose of the mask body (100).
