Abstract

Lucky Poky is a table game system similar to poker, but its cards deck is identified with symbols 1 through 10 plus Fox, Witch, Lyon and Clown. 1 is used as either low or high. Fox, Witch, Lyon, Clown are numerical equivalents of 11, 12 13 and 14. Instead of poker suits Lucky Poky cards are Red, Blue, Lilac, Green. Chips specially designed for Lucky Poky use symbols: Arrow, balloon, canoe, cross, football, pyramid, star, etc.
Winning hands renamed as:
    • Twin: 2 cards of equal value
    • 2 Twins: Two Twins
    • Triple: 3 cards of equal value
    • Ladder 5 cards numerically sequent
    • Rainbow: 5 cards same color
    • Complete: Twin plus Triple
    • Four Leaf: 4 cards of same numerical value
    • Penta: 5 cards of same numerical value
    • Rainbow
    • Ladder: 5 cards same color and numerically sequent
    • Maximum: 5 cards same color, numerically sequent and of the highest value.

Description

  • To prevent a conflict with prior patent specifications, particularly poker, instead of poker symbols Lucky Poky introduces a new, different deck of cards.
  • Also, instead of the usual poker suits, colors are used.
  • And new, different chips were also designed for Lucky Poky.
  • DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION Equipment
      • a) Table
      • b) Cards
      • c) Chips
      • d) Personnel.
  • THE TABLE:
    Four legs. Dimensions:  9 Ft. wide
     6 Ft. deep
    38 ″ high
  • Round borders with a 5″ cushion arm rest and foot rests built into the lower part of the table are provided for the players.
  • The surface of the table is covered with green felt. Color printed on the felt are displayed FOUR decks of cards. Total cards displayed: 56.
  • Also color printed on the table surface are ELEVEN circles for bets: Twin, 2 Twins, Triple, Ladder, Rainbow, Complete, 4 Leaf, Penta, Rainbow Ladder, Maximum and MEGA.
  • The Cards:
  • A new, different deck of cards is introduced for the first time with Lucky Poky: utilized are the numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Fox, Witch, Lyon and Clown.
  • Fox, Witch, Lyon and Clown are the numerical equivalents of 11, 12, 13 and 14.
  • The number 1 is used as low (1) or high (14) and the Clown is the wild card.
  • The colors Red, Blue, Lilac and Green are utilized instead of the usual poker suits.
  • The Chips:
  • The round chips are color printed on both their sides with the symbols: Arrow, balloon, canoe, football, pyramid, star, world, bird of paradise, rose, eagle, dolphin, frog, horse, parrot, turtle, etc.
  • Personnel:
      • a) The dealer who supervises game, pays all winning bets and collects all losers bets.
      • b) The players.
    Rules of Lucky Poky:
  • All bets are ONE dollar each. Table minimum: 5 dollars.
  • A combination of 5 or more ONE dollar bets meets this requirement.
  • Table Maximum: five thousand dollars.
  • Value of chips is the price you pay for them. It may be one or 5 or more dollars each.
  • Chips good only to play Lucky Poky; must be redeemed at the table.
  • Different players use different chips so their bets are not confused.
  • A hand is completed when all 15 winner cards have been drawn, all winning bets have been paid, and all loser bets have been collected.
  • List of winning hands:
      • Twin: Any 2 cards of equal value
      • 2 Twins: Two Twins
      • Triple: Any 3 cards of equal value
      • Ladder: Any 5 cards in numerical sequence
      • Rainbow: Any 5 cards of the same color
      • Complete: A Twin plus a Triple
      • Four Leaf: Any 4 cards of the same numerical value
      • Penta: Any 5 cards of the same numerical value
      • Rainbow
      • Ladder: All 5 cards of the same color and in numerical sequence
      • Maximum: All 5 cards of the same color, in numerical sequence and of the highest value.
        • Example: 10, Fox, Witch, Lyon and the 1 or the Clown.
      • NOTE: The Clown is the wild card, it may be used to fill 5 card combinations of Ladder, Rainbow and 5 ONES.
  • The table provides positions for 15 players. When 15 players play the chances of 5 card combinations drawn are 3 in 1 with a number of players lower than 15 the chances decrease proportionately.
  • How to Play Lucky Poky:
  • Players may bet on one or more individual cards of their choice, and/or on the circles: MEGA, Twin, 2 Twins, Triple, Ladder, Rainbow, Complete, Four Leaf, Penta, Rainbow Ladder, and Maximum.
  • Dealer shuffles FOUR decks of cards identical to the table display, then draws 15 winner cards, to do so every 4th card drawn by the dealer is a winner and it is placed face up on the table in front of the dealer. After 13 draws only 4 cards are left so the last 2 cards at the bottom are the 13th and 15th winner cards.
  • Other cards drawn except every 4th card winner are placed face down on a discard pile.
  • Players may take odds before the 7th card winner is drawn. This additional odds bet may not exceed 3 times the amount of the original bet.
  • No more bets allowed after the 7th winner card is drawn.
  • Allocation of Pay Off Amounts:
  • Every single card drawn as a winner but with no matching card combination wins even money.
  • Bets on cards which do not match a winner card lose.
  • Twin win even money
    2 Twins win 2 for 1
    Triple win 3 for 1
    Ladder win 4 for 1
    Rainbow win 5 for 1
    Complete win 6 for 1
    Four Leaf win 7 for 1
    Penta win 8 for 1
    Rainbow
    Ladder win 9 for 1
    Maximum win 10 for 1
  • The bank funds 5 dollars every time a new hand begins for the MEGA Jack pot. It accumulates until it is won.
  • 2 ONES or 2 Clowns must be drawn as winner cards. If you bet that either of those 2 cards would be a winner card, your bet wins the MEGA!
  • If MEGA won by multiple bets, Jack Pot split evenly. Odd residue to fund new MEGA.
  • MEGA Jackpot continues to accumulate until it is won, except when last player quits playing. In this case bank reclaims accumulated Jack Pot and starts funding again with 5 dollars every time a new hand begins.
    • NOTE: Any 3, 4 or 5 drawn as winners can be combined to make a winning hand as shown above. (Example: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 9, 10, Fox etc.
      • Although player may have only one winning card, his bet is paid as if he alone had all 3, 4 or 5 winners cards because his single winning card is part of such combination.
      • Circles bets win also if matched by combinations made from winner cards drawn.
      • All combinations paid as indicated per above pay off allocation.
      • Management retains the right to alter above pay offs and format with prior written consent of the Inventor.

  • Instead of suits as in a poker deck of cards, Lucky Poky uses colors, this drawing identifies such colors with the letters:

      • (b) Blue

Claims (3)

1) LUCKY POKY a table game similar to poker, introduces a new, different deck of cards using the symbols: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Fox, Witch Lyon and Clown.
The Fox, Witch, Lyon and Clown are the numerical equivalents of 11, 12, 13 and 14. The number 1 is used as low (1) or high (14) and the Clown is the wild card. The colors Red, Blue, Lilac and Green are utilized instead of the usual poker suits.
2) LUCKY POKY introduces for the first time different chips. The round chips are color printed on both their sides with the symbols: Arrow, balloon, canoe, cross, football, pyramid, star, world, bird of paradise, rose, eagle, dolphin, frog, horse, parrot, turtle, etc.
3) Winning hands in LUCKY POKY are re-named as:
Twin: Any 2 cards of equal value
2 Twins: Two Twins
Triple: Any 3 cards of equal value
Ladder: Any 5 cards in numerical sequence
Rainbow: Any 5 cards of the same color
Complete: A Twin plus a Triple
Four Leaf: Any 4 cards of the same numerical value
Penta: Any 5 cards of the same numerical value
Rainbow
Ladder: All 5 cards of the same color and in numerical sequence
Maximum: All 5 cards of the same color, in numerical sequence and of the highest value. Example: 10, Fox, Witch, Lyon plus the 1 or the Clown all of the same color.
