Abstract

The object of the invention is to add moisture to any bathroom tissue in dry environments as well as adding any scent to it. The invention reflects how easily tissue absorbs moisture, because of it's material, and how it dries up as well. The ambient air in a bath can be as low as 20%, making tissue 20% moisture content. This invention uses only static water under the tissue in an enclosure to raise the humidity level to 80%+. Scents are added to water and get infused in the tissue. This makes the tissue soft, strong, scented, and better. The tissue is less crumbly and can have better grip. A person with certain medical conditions such as sinus problems, colds, hemorrhoids etc. can have consistent softness in their tissue of choice.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • ref. Ogden U.S. Pat. No. 5,697,577 this invention keeps “wet” paper wet which is a different moisture content than said TP Humidor adds to paper.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The general idea of the invention is to have tissue at a humidity level that is consistent regardless of the ambient humidity in a room. This keeps tissue at maximum softness, strength, and less dust. It also can give a constant scent to tissue of ones own choosing. The various models also add to modern decors as they contain tissue in numerous designs and applications. This can also give people with medical problems that use tissue some extra consistent comfort, especially living in dry areas.

  • FIG. 1—This is a front view of a square wall inserted model.
  • FIG. 2—This is a corner view with one side left out to show some interior structure at an angle as to view.

  • FIG. 4—This is a direct side view with the right side cut away to be able to show tissue on the holder with the chamber door open.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The reason for this invention is to keep toilet tissue at an optimum humidity level irrelevant of the outside air ambient level of humidity. This makes the tissue more pliable and softer while increasing strength and tear resistance. It also uses fumes from scents added to the water to infuse favorite scents as opposed to the chemicals added directly to the tissue, which dry out quickly. The water softens naturally without chemicals or extra layers of tissue thickening it. The object is to humidify and not to dampen or moisten. This keeps all tissue brands at 85% to 91% when the outside ambient humidity can be 20%. This can be related to any wood or paper products, most people can see the effects that humidity has and how easily it's absorbed or lost. The toilet tissue being made of cellulose material is most affected by moisture and is highly absorbent as well as having the ability to dry out very fast, equalizing to it's surrounding air humidity level.
  • The process to achieve a constant moisture content in toilet tissue begins with the sealed tissue container. This can be of various styles, each having a reservoir for a small amount of water (4oz) which scented oils etc. can be added. The water can be housed in a water drawer 3 or just in the bottom of the container. Tissue 12 sits just above the water reservoir with a support grate 9 separating them to keep tissue end from touching the water as well as allowing humidity and scent to infuse the tissue. There is a door opening to access the tissue chamber 2. Chamber doors 1 have a variety of styles and handles 5. They swing open on a hinge 8 system with a door catch 7 system which is heavy enough to support plenty of tissue weight. Tissue holders 11 are mounted on the inside of the chamber door 1, when opened the tissue is presented in normal fashion. The tissue 12 can also just sit in the chamber 2 and be removed to use. An LCD display window 4 gives outside and inside humidity readings, time etc., and has a battery box 10 with easy access holding a AA size battery. The water and battery can last a long time making for easy maintenance.
  • The TP Humidors are plastic injected in various colors and styles using flexible materials. A commercial product made of stainless steel being stamped and assembled is another material used. The TP Humidor is a wall insert consisting of the box with an incorporated wall flange 6 set into a standard sheetrock wall w/screws. It is also a surface mount and pedestal humidor. Most tissue dispensers only give you paper, the TP Humidor is stylish dispenser that gives any tissue in it a far more superior feel and function as well as a persons scent of choice, that really works and is long lasting. These advantages are even more pronounced for people with rectal medical conditions or even a sinus cold as the softer tissue is much more gentle. The humidor can take 24hrs. to make any tissue that is 20% dryness to a level of 85% to 90% with peak at 91% or 92%. This process can vary somewhat with other variables. The water added need not be heated or vibrated to do the job. The result of adding hot water causes droplets to form and contact tissue, but not ruining it. The TP Humidors work with little water and a few drops of your preferred fragrance.

Claims (2)

1. I claim that the said invention is unique in that it uses tap water that is in a drawer or other containment unit that is positioned inside the box known as a humidor which can have many designs. The box or toilet paper container can be a wall insert, surface mount, or a free standing pedestal. It doesn't need a special seal on the door opening or a wick, fan, or heater to enhance water evaporation. The invention doesn't make the paper wet or damp leaving it very comfortable. It's just water in a plastic box that will evaporate until the paper wants no more. This is done at the products point of use.
2. I claim the said invention lets user add any scent to the water, the aromatic terepenes are then easily absorbed by the paper as opposed to adding oils etc. directly to paper pulp which people can be adversely effected by.
