Abstract

A method and apparatus that consists of a device made out of plastic or other suitable material that is manually fitted on the round container or bottles by press fitting it to the outside of the bottle/container. Once in position, it will effectively prevent the container or bottle to roll on a flat surface. The manual fitting and removal of the “No-Roll Container” to the bottle is quick and effective. When the “No-Roll Container” is no longer needed then the user removes it from the bottle and is ready to be used again in another bottle/container. It can be operated safely and quickly by anyone with simple operating instructions. It can be fitted with a strap to hold the bottle or container to a belt or other device

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention is related to the field of child and parents safety. The “No-Roll Container” is used to prevent bottles/containers to roll when they fall from the vertical position or accidentally dropped. It can also be applied to a number of cases where bottles can drop and roll away from their users such as in shops, hospitals or production lines. Another useful purpose is to allow the bottles/containers to fasten to a suitable user location such as a belt.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • It is therefore, a primary object of the present invention to provide an accessory that is simple, inexpensive and made of safe light components.
  • The “No-Roll Container” is used to prevent bottles/containers to roll when accidentally dropped. This is specifically important when mothers are feeding their babies and the milk bottle accidentally drops to the floor and rolls away from the mother and under furniture.
  • It also can be applied to a number of cases where bottles can drop and roll away from their users such as in shops, hospitals or production lines. Another useful purpose is to allow the bottles/containers to fasten to a suitable user location such as a belt.
  • The heart of the “No-Roll Container” appliance is a device made out of plastic or other suitable material that is manually fitted on the round container or bottle by press fitting it to the outside of the bottle/container.
  • There is a plurality of variants of the “No-Roll Container”. In its simplest form it is composed of a flat piece of plastic made form a stamping, injection molding or other suitable process. The plastic is flexible and thin and it has a circumferential inner hole composed of radial slots to adapt to a variety of bottle or container outside diameters.
  • The “No-Roll Container” can have a strap fastened to its side to be used to hold the bottle/container assembly to a suitable user location. The “No-Roll Container” has two purposes, one is to prevent the bottle/container from rolling on a flat surface and the other is to hold the bottle/container by means of the side strap.
  • A number of visible colors and graphics can be used in the “No-Roll Container”. A kit of “No-Roll Container” consists of a number of pieces of different inside diameter hole consistent to the outside diameters of standard bottles/containers.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 This perspective view shows a baby bottle fitted with a No-Roll-Container
  • FIG. 2 This perspective view shows the No-Roll-Container fitted with a strap and holder clip
  • FIG. 3 This view of the No-Roll-Container shows the part that is pushed on the bottle with the radial relief holes and strap slot
  • DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Please refer to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 The No-Roll Container of the present invention includes an adapter 1 with the outer perimeter fundamentally square with round corners.
  • The inner hole 2 has the radial slots 3 to facilitate fitting to the various bottle/container sizes.
  • The slot 4 to allow the strap 5 to fasten to the adapter 1. The adapter 1 is made out of a thin and flexible plastic like 1/32- 1/16″ thickness. The adapter 1 can be fabricated by stamping, injection molding or any other suitable process in a number of attractive colors or graphics. A belt clip 5 is shown fastened to one side of the adapter 1.
