Abstract
A golf bag includes a collar and a container selectively attached with the collar. The collar defines first and second ends at two opposite ends thereof and two side ends disposed between the first and second ends. The collar includes an outer wall and an interior wall disposed opposite to the outer wall. The container is flexible. The container includes an interior surface defining a first segment and a second segment. The container further includes a first joint portion formed on the second segment and a second joint portion formed on the first segment. The first and second joint portions can be selectively coupled with each other to provide the container selectively attached with the collar without using tools or fasteners.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a golf bag and, in particular, to a golf bag that is assembled without using tools or fasteners.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Various stated conventional golf bags, in which, the golf bags each has its collar frame attached to a container which form therein a space for receiving golf clubs. However, such the conventional golf bags still have the disadvantages which are mainly induced from the fact that the collar frame of the golf bag attached to the container by rivets or nails. The rivets or nails connecting between the collar frame and the container have high rejection rate to increase the manufacturing cost.
- The present invention is, therefore, intended to obviate or at least alleviate the problems encountered in the prior art.
- According to the present invention, a golf bag includes a collar and a container selectively attached with the collar. The collar defines first and second ends at two opposite ends thereof and two side ends disposed between the first and second ends. The collar includes an outer wall and an interior wall disposed opposite to the outer wall. The container is flexible. The container includes an interior surface defining a first segment and a second segment. The container further includes a first joint portion formed on the second segment and a second joint portion formed on the first segment. The first and second joint portions can be selectively coupled with each other to provide the container selectively attached with the collar without using tools or fasteners.
- It is an object of the present invention to provide a golf bag that the container is selectively attached with the collar without using tools or fasteners.
- Other objects, advantages, and new features of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of the invention when considered in conjunction with the accompanied drawings.

Further, the exact dimensions and dimensional proportions to conform to specific force, weight, strength, and similar requirements will likewise be within the skill of the art after the following teachings of the present invention have been read and understood.
- Where used in the various figures of the drawings, the same numerals designate the same or similar parts. Furthermore, when the terms “first”, “second”, “third”, “inner”, “outer”, “side”, “end”, “portion”, “section”, “longitudinal”, “clockwise”, “counterclockwise”, and similar terms are used herein, it should be understood that these terms have reference only to the structure shown in the drawings as it would appear to a person viewing the drawings and are utilized only to facilitate describing the invention.
- A golf bag according to the preferred teachings of the present invention is shown in the drawings. In the preferred forms shown in
FIGS. 1 to 4 , the golf bag includes acollar 10 and acontainer 20 selectively attached with thecollar 10. Thecollar 10 is made of the plastics and formed in an annular shape generally. Thecollar 10 defines first andsecond ends collar 10 further defines twoside ends 103 disposed between thefirst end 101 and thesecond end 102. Thecollar 10 includes anouter wall 11, aninterior wall 12 disposed opposite to theouter wall 11, afirst space 13 demarcated by theinterior wall 12, and ahead 14 formed between theouter wall 11 and theinterior wall 12. - The
container 20 is made of the flexible and soft materials and formed in the shape of a hollow circular cylinder generally. Thecontainer 20 has atop 201 provided to attach with thecollar 10 selectively. Thecontainer 20 includes anouter surface 21, an interior surface 22, and a second space 23 demarcated by the interior surface 22. Thefirst space 13 connects and communicates with the second space 23. The first andsecond spaces 13 and 23 provide to receive the golf clubs. The interior surface 22 defines afirst segment 221 disposed distant to thetop 201 and asecond segment 222 disposed adjacent thetop 201. Thecontainer 20 further includes first and secondjoint portions joint portion 24 is disposed adjacent thetop 201 and formed on thesecond segment 222 of the interior surface 22. The secondjoint portion 25 is disposed distant thetop 201 and formed on thefirst segment 221 of the interior surface 22. The first and secondjoint portions - Furthermore, in the embodiment, the first and second
joint portions top 201 of thecontainer 20 is inserted into thefirst space 13. Thefirst segment 221 of the interior surface 22 abuts against theouter wall 11, and thesecond segment 222 of the interior surface 22 abuts against theinterior wall 12 andhead 14. The first and secondjoint portions container 20 attached with thecollar 10 without using tools or fasteners. - The
interior wall 12 of thecollar 10 includes a plurality of ribs and at least one vertebra to separate thefirst space 13 divided into a plurality of partitions to receive the different types of the golf clubs. In the embodiment, theinterior wall 12 of thecollar 10 includes first, second, andthird ribs interior wall 12 further includes afirst vertebra 124 formed between the first andsecond ribs second vertebra 125 formed between the second andthird ribs first space 13 divided into six partitions. Furthermore, thecollar 10 includes aslot 15 disposed at thefirst end 101, and aprotrusion 16 formed capable of installing the golf accessories at thesecond end 102. - Additionally, the
container 20 includes a plurality of sections arranged capable of extending round thecollar 10. In the embodiment, thecontainer 20 includes first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh,eighth sections first section 22 a is disposed towards thefirst end 101. The second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, andseventh sections side end 103, respectively. Thesecond section 22 b is disposed opposite to thefifth section 22 e. Thethird section 22 c is disposed opposite to thesixth section 22 f. Thefourth section 22 d is disposed opposite to theseventh section 22 g. Theeighth section 22 h is disposed towards thesecond end 102. Thecontainer 20 further includes ahole 26 adapted for surrounding theprotrusion 16. Thefirst section 22 a is arranged extending though theslot 15 of thecollar 10 and inserting into thefirst space 13. The second andfifth sections first rib 121 and theinterior wall 12, and inserting into thefirst space 13. The third andsixth sections second ribs first space 13. The fourth andseventh sections third ribs first space 13. Theeighth section 22 h is arranged extending though thesecond end 102 of thecollar 10 and inserting into thefirst space 13. Theprotrusion 16 extends through thehole 26, and protrudes from theouter surface 21 to provide installing the golf accessories. - Additionally, the golf bag further includes a protecting
unit 30 selectively mounted with thecollar 10. The protectingunit 30 avoids the golf clubs colliding with thecollar 10. The protectingunit 30 includes a plurality of protecting members. In the embodiment, the protectingunit 30 includes three first protectingmembers 31 and two second protectingmembers 32. The plurality of protecting members are made of the soft materials. The first protectingmember 31 includes a first inside 311 and afirst coupling portion 312 disposed at an end of the first protectingmember 31. Thefirst coupling portion 312 selectively connects to the first inside 311. The three first protectingmembers 31 coats respectively around the first, second, andthird ribs member 32 includes a second inside 321 and asecond coupling portion 322 disposed at an end of the second protectingmember 32. Thesecond coupling portion 322 selectively connects to the second inside 321. The twosecond protecting members 32 coats respectively around the first andsecond vertebras second coupling portions - Thus since the invention disclosed herein may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or general characteristics thereof, some of which forms have been indicated, the embodiment described herein is to be considered in all respects illustrative and not restrictive. The scope of the invention is to be indicated by the appended claims, rather than by the foregoing description, and all changes which come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are intended to be embraced therein.
Claims (12)
1. A golf bag comprising:
a collar defining first and second ends at two opposite ends thereof, with the collar including an outer wall and an interior wall disposed opposite to the outer wall; and
a container including a top selectively attached with the collar, wherein the container is flexible, with the container including an interior surface defining a first segment disposed distant to the top and a second segment disposed adjacent the top, with the container further including a first joint portion formed on the second segment and a second joint portion formed on the first segment, wherein the first and second joint portions selectively coupled with each other to provide the container selectively attached with the collar without using tools or fasteners.
2. The golf bag as claimed in claim 1 , with the collar including a first space demarcated by the interior wall, with the container including a second space demarcated by the interior surface, with the first space connecting and communicating with the second space, with the first and second spaces provided to receive the golf clubs.
3. The golf bag as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first and second joint portions are formed of velcro.
4. The golf bag as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the interior wall of the collar includes a plurality of ribs and at least one vertebra to separate the first space divided into a plurality of partitions to receive the different types of the golf clubs.
5. The golf bag as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the interior wall of the collar includes first, second, and third ribs extending between two side ends of the collar, with the interior wall including a first vertebra formed between the first and second ribs, and a second vertebra formed between the second and third ribs, with the first space divided into six partitions.
6. The golf bag as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the container includes a plurality of sections arranged capable of extending round the collar.
7. The golf bag as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the container includes first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth sections, with the first section disposed towards the first end, with the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh sections disposed towards the two side end, with the second section disposed opposite to the fifth section, with the third section disposed opposite to the sixth section, with the fourth section disposed opposite to the seventh section, with the eighth section disposed towards the second end.

The golf bag as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the collar includes a slot disposed at the first end, with the first section arranged extending though the slot of the collar 10 and inserting into the first space, with the second and fifth sections arranged extending through a partition formed between the first rib and the interior wall and inserting into the first space, with the third and sixth sections arranged extending through a partition formed between the first and second ribs and inserting into the first space, with the fourth and seventh sections arranged extending through a partition formed between the second and third ribs and inserting into the first space, with the eighth section arranged extending though the second end of the collar and inserting into the first space.
9. The golf bag as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the collar 10 includes a protrusion, with the container including an outer surface disposed opposite to the interior surface and a hole adapted for surrounding the protrusion, with the protrusion extending through the hole and protruding from the outer surface to provide installing the golf accessories.

The golf bag as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the golf bag further includes a protecting unit selectively mounted with the collar, with the protecting unit avoiding the golf clubs colliding with the collar, with the protecting unit including a plurality of protecting members made of the soft materials.
11. The golf bag as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the protecting unit includes three first protecting members and two second protecting members, with the first protecting member including a first inside and a first coupling portion disposed at an end of the first protecting member, with the first coupling portion selectively connecting to the first inside, with the three first protecting members coating respectively around the first, second, and third ribs, wherein the second protecting member includes a second inside and a second coupling portion disposed at an end of the second protecting member, with the second coupling portion selectively connecting to the second inside, with the two second protecting members coating respectively around the first and second vertebras.
12. The golf bag as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the first and second coupling portions are formed of velcro.
