Description

  • This application claims the benefit of Provisional Application 61/545,523 filed Oct. 10, 2011, which is incorporated by reference herein. The present invention relates to disposable cleaning products, and in particular to disposable, single use gloves.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Disposable products are very popular, and their use is widespread in consumer and professional products. This rise in demand for disposable products has created many new opportunities. Single-use items are commonly used in the food and hospitality, service and medical industries. Of these single-use items, both disposable cloth wipes and disposable gloves are popular consumer and professional products. However, there is currently nothing on the market that provides a form fitting glove that can be switched between the left hand and right hand for optimum cleaning efficiency.
  • Pet wipes are known. Pet wipes include a disposable cloth saturated with a cleansing fluid and other conditioners, moisturizers and vitamins. Pet owners utilize pet wipes because they can clean their pet without having to give the pet a bath. The pet owner no longer has to soak the pet, lather the pet, rinse the pet and dry the pet. With a pet wipe, the user can clean the pet by grabbing the saturated cloth and rubbing the pet.
  • What is needed is a better disposable cleaning glove.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention provides a cleaning glove kit. A plurality of disposable gloves is contained within an openable air tight dispenser. The gloves are saturated with cleansing fluid also contained within the dispenser. Each glove has four finger sections corresponding to a user's finger, a thumb section corresponding to the user's thumb, a first palm section and a second palm section. The first palm section and second palm section are alternatively utilized by the user to clean subject matter by switching one the gloves between the user's right hand and the user's left hand. In a preferred embodiment the subject matter being cleaned is a pet.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 show preferred disposable gloves.
  • FIG. 3 shows a preferred dispenser.
  • FIG. 4 shows a preferred glove being removed from a preferred dispenser.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The invention consists of a disposable cloth glove. The glove is preferably fabricated from permeable cloth, and is pre-moistened with a cleanser, detergent, polish or other agent. The glove is two-sided as shown in FIG. 1. Preferably gloves 1 are contoured to fit a typical human hand including appropriately sized finger and thumb sections.
  • Wearing Two Gloves Simultaneously
  • FIG. 1 shows glove 1 on a user's left hand and a glove 2 on a user's right hand. Glove 1 and 2 are identical to each other with the exception that glove 1 is on the user's left hand and glove 2 is on the user's right hand. Gloves 1 and 2 have been saturated in a cleaning fluid. In one example, the cleaning fluid is a pet cleansing fluid and the user can now apply the cleansing fluid to the pet by rubbing the pet with his hands and fingers. Eventually the cleansing fluid on Side A of gloves 1 and 2 will be depleted. The user then switches his gloves so that glove 2 is on his left hand and glove 1 is on his right hand (FIG. 2). Side B of gloves 1 and 2 still contains an adequate supply of shampoo. The user can now continue applying the shampoo to his pet by rubbing his pet with his hands and fingers. It should be noted that Side A section is also preferably referred to as a first palm section. Side B section is also preferably referred to as a second palm section.
  • Wearing Only One Glove
  • In another preferred embodiment, the user wears just one glove at a time. He will use his free hand to hold the pet. For example, in one preferred embodiment the user places glove 1 onto his left hand and uses his right hand to hold the pet steady. The user applies shampoo by rubbing his pet with his hands and fingers. Eventually the shampoo on the palm side (side A) of glove 1 will become depleted. The user then removes glove 1 from his left hand and places it on the right hand so that the opposite side of glove 1 (side B) is now positioned on the users palm. The user then continues to apply shampoo with his right hand and holds the pet steady with his left hand.
  • Packaging
  • Preferably gloves 1 and 2 are manufactured and sealed in dispenser 3 along and are saturated in cleansing fluid so that the gloves stay moist until ready for use as shown in FIG. 3. In a preferred embodiment dispenser 3 is airtight to prevent evaporation of the cleansing fluid. When the glove is ready for use, the user will unseal the package and remove the glove from the sealed package as shown in FIG. 4. In a preferred embodiment, dispenser 3 describes the size of the gloves contained within the package. For example, gloves 1 and 2 are preferably available in extra small, small, medium, large and extra large sizes.
  • Some Uses of the Present Invention
  • There are multiple uses for gloves 1 and 2. Some of the many uses are described and listed below.
  • In the pet and livestock industry, this invention can be used to clean or refresh an animal. The cloth glove can be pre-moistened with anti-odor agents and cleansers for use on an animal. Instead of an owner giving their pet a bath, this invention can be used with less time, preparation, and clean-up than a traditional bath.
  • In the medical industry, this cloth glove can be used to apply cleansers, detergents, or other agents directly on a person's skin or hair. The glove can be pre-moistened with sanitizers or anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agents to clean a patient's hair in the hospital, or cleanse a bed-ridden patient in a hospice or retirement home.
  • In the automotive industry, the invention can be used to clean and protect a car's interior. By using a cloth glove pre-moistened with sealants and cleansers a user can wipe down or clean hard-to-reach places more naturally than can be done with a disposable wipe. Instead wrapping a wipe around a finger to clean the inside of narrow spaces, a glove saves time while improving cleaning efficiency.
  • In the service industry, the invention can be used to sanitize and disinfect common-use facilities such as phones or reception areas. This invention can be pre-moistened with sanitizing or anti-viral agents to clean equipment such as sofas, chairs, tables, door handles. The use of a disposable cloth glove when cleaning or wiping is easier and more natural than holding a wipe or cloth while cleaning or wiping.
  • For use in the home, this invention can be used to apply wood polish to a piece of furniture, or to clean and sanitize a toilet. Using a disposable cloth glove pre-moistened with sealants or waxes, a consumer can easily protect and clean wood furniture easier and more efficiently than a wipe or cloth. Similarly, a glove moistened with a disinfectant or cleaner can be used to wipe down and clean a bathroom, sink or other area where cross-contamination can occur.
  • Although the above-preferred embodiments have been described with specificity, persons skilled in this art will recognize that many changes to the specific embodiments disclosed above could be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.
