Abstract
The present utility model relates to an improvement introduced in a support for food articles (10), preferably, for receiving Easter eggs, comprising a material piece consisting of a base (20); at least two side walls (30, 30′) extending vertically; at least one fastening element (40, 40′) located at the end of each of said at least two side walls (30, 30′): and at least two projections (60, 60′), opposite each other, extending from the base (20), said at least two projections extending vertically.
Description
- The present utility model relates to an improvement introduced in a support for food articles, and, more particularly, to a support for Easter eggs.
- Several supports for food articles have already been known to the state of the art.
- However, the current supports for food articles fail to maintain the articles they receive in their predetermined position when those are exposed at a point of sale. This problem may cause both damage to the food article and to impair the product exposure.
- This is because the manufacturers of those supports use adhesives, glues or the like to secure the food articles in place, that are released due to constant handling of the supports at point of sale.
- Hence, it arises the need for a support for food articles that provides both features, the appropriate exposure and the protection of the received article.
- The present utility model relates to a support for food articles comprising a piece of material comprising a base and at least two side walls extending along the same, the base provided with projections that extend outward therefrom, thereby forming a base lug which receives the base of the food article to be exposed.
- One objective of the present utility model is to provide a support for food articles that maintains the food article in its predetermined position, preventing it from moving and preventing any damage from this movement. Another objective of the present utility model is to provide a support for food articles that keep the food article protected from damage, while exposing it properly.
- The objectives of the present utility model are achieved by providing a support for food articles comprising a support for food articles that comprises a material piece comprising a base; at least two side walls extending vertically; at least one fastening element located at the end of each of said at least two side walls; and at least two projections, which are opposite each other, extending from the base, said at least two projections extending vertically.
- The present utility model will be better understood based on the detailed description herein below, considered together with the accompanying drawings, in which:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the support for food articles of the present utility model; -
FIG. 2 is a front view of the support for food articles of the present utility model; -
FIG. 3 is a left side view of the support for food articles of the present utility model; -
FIG. 4 is a right side view of the support for food articles of the present utility model; -
FIG. 5 is an upper view of the support for food articles of the present utility model; -
FIG. 6 is a bottom view of the support for the food articles of the present utility model; -
FIG. 7 is a flattened view of the support for food articles of the present utility model; -
FIG. 8 is an additional flattened view of the support for food articles of the present utility model; -
FIG. 9 is an additional flattened view of the support for food articles of the present utility model, showing a different construction of the upper flap; and -
FIG. 10 is a perspective view of the support for additional food articles of the present utility model, illustrating a confectionery included therein. -
FIGS. 1 , 7 and 8 illustrate the support forfood articles 10 of the present application that comprises a material piece comprising abase 20 and at least twoside walls fold lines base 20 should be wide enough to accommodate the base of the food article to be received on thesupport 10. The side walls, in turn, as noticed fromFIGS. 3 and 4 , should be sufficiently high to extend along the height of the food article to be housed in thesupport 10. - The material piece forming the support for
food articles 10 may be any material that can be folded or creased including a natural material, a synthetic polymeric material or a mixture thereof. - The
side walls elements side wall 30 to theother side wall 30′, and which are separated byfold lines - Alternatively, as seen in
FIG. 9 , one of the at least twoside walls 30 may include just onefastening element 40, which is connected to the other of the at least twoside walls 30′, both adhered thereto and by means of a flap. - As it can be seen from
FIGS. 1 and 5 , when the twofastening elements opening 50 through which it may eventually pass any type of supporting element to maintain thesupport 10 suspended at a point of sale. Preferably, the food article a confectionery, and more preferably, the confectionery is an Easter egg, and the crown of the Easter egg package will passes through theopening 50, as illustrated inFIG. 10 . - If the support is manufactured by using the construction of the fastening element, the
opening 50 is pre-formed in thefastening element 40. The crown of the package will then extend through the opening 50. - From the
base 20, as seen fromFIGS. 1 , 2 and 8,projections end side walls base 20 of thesupport 10, which prevents the food article from moving when it is exposed and handled at the point of sale, as seen inFIG. 10 . Thus, the base of the article being received by the support lies within the region delimited by the two lugs and the two side walls. - The
base 20 is also separated from theprojections fold lines projections - Alternatively, said lug can also be constructed by individual strips that are then applied on the
base 20 of the support and fixed to itsside walls - It should be noticed that variations, modifications and changes in the utility model described herein are possible to those skilled in the art, without departing from the spirit and scope of the present utility model or equivalents thereof, encompassed by the appended claims and the equivalents thereof.
