Abstract

A plastic delivery bag includes a front bag wall and an opposite rear bag wall, each having an upper edge, a lower edge, and first and second side edges, a closable bag opening and an opposite bag bottom with a bottom fold and a first bottom fold section extending from the lower edge of the front bag wall to the bottom fold and a second bottom fold section extending from the lower edge of the rear bag wall to the bottom fold. The front bag wall and the rear bag wall are connected, in some cases welded together, along or adjacent to their respective first and second side edges, thereby forming first or second connecting areas, in some cases first and second connecting strips or lines. At least one, potentially elongated, first, second, third and fourth weakened areas extend from the transition from the first bottom fold section to the front bag wall, in some cases from the lower edge of the front bag wall, and from the transition from the second bottom fold section to the rear bag wall, in some cases from the lower edge of the rear bag wall, in some cases at least one first, second, third, and fourth perforation lines, at least sectionally adjacent to, and at a spacing from, the first elongated connecting area towards the bag opening in the front bag wall and the rear bag wall as well as the first and second bottom fold sections. At least one elongated other weakened area, in some cases another perforation line, extends from the, potentially elongated, first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area(s), preferably in a substantially orthogonal orientation, towards the second elongated connecting area.

Description

    BACKGROUND
  • 1. Technical Field
  • The present disclosure provides a plastic delivery bag, in particular an online delivery bag. The disclosure further provides the use of such a plastic delivery bag for transporting goods for dispatch, in particular goods for dispatch for online trading.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • Conventional delivery bags are sufficiently known from prior art. For example, the document WO 91/15406 describes a security bag that comprises a tab with an adhesive on its rear side to close the security bag.
  • The laid-open patent application DE 2 061 582 relates to a method for producing block bottom bags with a central bottom opening. The central bottom opening is used in vacuum cleaner bags.
  • Document DE 1 170 861 relates to a sack or bag made of paper with a hexagonal or lock bottom, wherein the overlapping parts of the bottom flaps end in tearing tongues on the sides. These tearing tongues allow opening of the sack bottom.
  • Document DE 1 882 441 U1 relates to a packaging for consumer goods that is designed as a carrier bag. Its upper side is closed while its bottom side is open (“bottomless” design). Shell parts can be used to close the bottom side after inserting the goods.
  • Plastic delivery bags are regularly used in online delivery trading. It is quite common that merchandise that was ordered has to be returned for various reasons, e.g., to complain about deficiencies. For low-cost and easy return, a customer often uses the same bags in which the merchandise was delivered. After these bags were opened and the merchandise was removed, they must be filled once again with the merchandise and closed for a safe return shipment. When a customer opens such bags, this should be done in such a manner that the bag can subsequently be reliably resealed. Advantageously, such plastic bags will be used that can easily be opened without any additional aids after they were closed for the first time. In the same way, the plastic bags should be easily and reliably resealable for a return shipment, such that the merchandise is safely contained in the delivery bag during transport, particularly without having to resort to additional aids for resealing. Numerous closing systems for bag openings of such plastic delivery bags are known from prior art. The focus of designing suitable plastic delivery bags apparently was on the bag opening.
  • So far, the merchandise returned in this way to a vendor or manufacturer is removed from the plastic delivery bag while destroying the latter. The film webs used for such plastic delivery bags are becoming increasingly more stable, particularly more tear-resistant, despite the fact that the film systems used are at the same time becoming increasingly thinner. It is also possible to produce a very strong bond between the plastic film length that is closing the opening and the adjacent plastic film material with the adhesives used. It will therefore often take great force to tear the film seal or the film material apart. Alternatively, or in addition, knives or scissors are used to retrieve returned merchandise. This may also damage the returned merchandise. It would therefore be desirable to use plastic delivery bags that do not have the deficiencies described.
  • There is accordingly a need to provide plastic delivery bags that allow simple and reliable removal of shipped or returned merchandise from said plastic delivery bags without risking to damage the merchandise in the process.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY
  • Accordingly, the present disclosure provides a plastic delivery bag comprising a front bag wall and an opposite rear bag wall, each having an upper edge, a lower edge, and first and second side edges, a closable bag opening and an opposite bag bottom with a bottom fold and a first bottom fold section extending from the lower edge of the front bag wall to the bottom fold and a second bottom fold section extending from the lower edge of the rear bag wall to the bottom fold. The front bag wall and the rear bag wall are connected, in some cases welded together, along or adjacent to their respective first and second side edges, thereby forming first or second connecting areas, in some cases first and second connecting strips or lines. At least one, potentially elongated, first, second, third and fourth weakened areas extend from the transition from the first bottom fold section to the front bag wall, in some cases from the lower edge of the front bag wall, and from the transition from the second bottom fold section to the rear bag wall, in some cases from the lower edge of the rear bag wall, which weakened areas may be at least one first, second, third, and fourth perforation line, at least sectionally adjacent to, and at a spacing from, the first elongated connecting area towards the bag opening in the front bag wall and the rear bag wall as well as the first and second bottom fold sections. At least one elongated other weakened area, in some cases another perforation line, extends from the, potentially elongated, first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area(s), in some cases substantially orthogonally, towards the second elongated connecting area.
  • With the present disclosure comes the surprising finding that openable plastic delivery bags can be obtained in a relatively simply manner, without having to accept impairment with respect to sealing their content and opening the packaging. Surprisingly, the first, second, third, and fourth weakened areas allow particularly easy opening, wherein the shipped merchandise neither comes into contact with sharp objects nor is exposed to excessive pressure. Weakened areas provided in the way described also make it possible to securely seal shipped merchandise in plastic delivery bags during transport although a generic load is applied to the bag bottom during transport.
  • A plastic delivery bag within the meaning of the present disclosure is a bag which is provided for transporting goods, including goods sold online. A delivery bag of this type is usually closable, preferably in such a manner that no opening remains unclosed. The plastic delivery bag typically comprises an area, such as an interior space, for receiving goods or articles for delivery, which can substantially be completely closed and is defined by the front bag wall, the rear bag wall, and the bag bottom. Bags comprising unclosable bag openings, which permit articles for delivery to fall out unintentionally during transportation, are as a rule unsuitable for use as delivery bags. It is generally feasible to deform a plastic delivery bag in such a manner that a precise description of the geometry is no longer possible. It should therefore be stated in advance with regard to the further embodiments that the description relates to an unfilled, non-deformed state of the plastic delivery bag, wherein the plastic delivery bag should preferably be regarded as being extended flat. This is usually the form in which the delivery bag is provided prior to being filled with articles for delivery.

  • It is advantageous in the plastic delivery bag according to the present disclosure that at least one, in some cases elongated, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth weakened areas, such as a fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth perforation line, extend from the transition from the first bottom fold section to the front bag wall, in some cases from the lower edge of the front bag wall, and from the transition from the second bottom fold section to the rear bag wall, in some cases from the lower edge of the rear bag wall, at least sectionally adjacent to, and at a spacing from, the second elongated connecting area towards the bag opening in the front bag wall and the rear bag wall as well as the first and second bottom fold sections. This allows opening of the plastic delivery bag on both sides without having to turn the bag around, where appropriate, in order to obtain a corner with perforation lines.
  • Moreover, according to suitable embodiments of the present disclosure, the at least one elongated other weakened area which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area(s) towards the second elongated connecting area, includes or represents at least one elongated ninth weakened area, such as a ninth perforation line, which extends from the, potentially elongated, first and/or second weakened area(s), in some cases at least to the fifth and/or sixth weakened area(s), in the transition from the front bag wall to the first bottom fold section, in some cases parallel to the lower edge of the front bag wall, and/or includes or represents at least one elongated eleventh weakened area, such as an eleventh perforation line, which extends from the, potentially elongated, third and/or fourth weakened area(s) towards the second elongated connecting area, in some cases at least to the seventh and/or eighth weakened area(s), in the transition from the rear bag wall to the first bottom fold section, in some cases parallel to the lower edge of the rear bag wall.
  • In particularly preferred embodiments, the at least one elongated other weakened area which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area(s) towards the second elongated connecting area, includes or represents at least one elongated tenth weakened area, such as a tenth perforation line, which extends from the, potentially elongated, second weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area, in some cases at least to the sixth weakened area, in the first bottom fold section, and/or includes or represents at least one elongated twelfth weakened area, such as a twelfth perforation line, which extends from the, potentially elongated, third weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area, in some cases at least to the seventh weakened area, in the second bottom fold section.
  • In a particularly preferred embodiment, the plastic delivery bag includes opposite tenth and twelfth weakened areas. It is preferred in this context that these are substantially arranged parallel to the bottom fold, wherein the average distance to the bottom fold is preferably less than 5 cm, in some cases 3 cm, particularly preferably less than 2 cm.
  • In other particularly suitable embodiments, the at least one elongated other weakened area which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area includes or represents at least one twentieth weakened area, in some cases a twentieth perforation line, which extends from the, potentially elongated, second and/or third weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area, in some cases at least to the sixth and/or seventh weakened area along the bottom fold.
  • In another, likewise suitable embodiment, the at least one elongated other weakened area which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area includes at least one twenty-first and/or twenty-second weakened area(s), in some cases a twenty-first and/or twenty-second perforation line, wherein the twenty-first weakened area is attached adjacent to and at a spacing from the lower edge of the front side of the bag in the front side of the bag and the twenty-second weakened area is attached adjacent to and at a spacing from the lower edge of the rear side of the bag in the rear side of the bag.
  • In a useful embodiment, the elongated second weakened area, in some cases the elongated first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area(s), also extend towards the bag opening beyond the point from which the elongated tenth weakened area extends towards the second elongated connecting area.
  • In another useful embodiment, the elongated third weakened area, in some cases the elongated first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area(s), also extend towards the bag opening beyond the point from which the elongated twelfth weakened area extends towards the second elongated connecting area.
  • In another useful embodiment, the elongated sixth weakened area, in some cases the elongated fifth, sixth, seventh, and/or eighth weakened area(s), also extend towards the bag opening beyond the point which the elongated tenth weakened area leads into, starting from the second side edge or first connecting area, in some cases on the opposite side.
  • In another useful embodiment, the elongated seventh weakened area, in some cases the elongated fifth, sixth, seventh, and/or eighth weakened area(s), also extend towards the bag opening beyond the point from which the elongated twelfth weakened area leads into, starting from the third side edge or first connecting area, in some cases on the opposite side.
  • The plastic delivery bags according to the present disclosure may comprise a fold with a W-shaped cross section, preferably in the area of the bag bottom, wherein this describes the type of fold arrangement and not the angle between the fold edges. Preferably, the different surfaces of the W-fold lie against one another in a folded state. Preferably, the W-shaped fold is formed by the bag front wall and the bag rear wall, as well as the bottom bag wall.
  • It is further preferred that the plastic delivery bag has a length that is calculated based on the average distance between the upper and lower edges on the rear side of the bag. It is further preferred that the first, second, third, fourth, and, where appropriate, the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth weakened areas are only present in the lower third of the plastic delivery bag and/or that the maximum extension of the first, second, third, fourth, and, where appropriate, the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth weakened areas in the direction from the bag bottom towards the bag opening corresponds to a maximum of 20%, in some cases a maximum of 15%, preferably a maximum of 12% of the length of the plastic delivery bag.
  • It is also particularly preferred that the first, second, third, fourth weakened areas are sectionally curved and preferably lead into the first side edge and/or the first connecting area.
  • The plastic delivery bag also has a width which preferably corresponds to the average distance between the first and second side edges of the rear bag wall. Preferably, the width of the front bag wall is less than the length of the front bag wall, and the width of the rear bag wall is less than the length of the rear bag wall. This has the advantage that the weakened areas are arranged on the shorter section of the delivery bag, which leads to greater stability.
  • In a useful embodiment, at least one other elongated weakened area which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area(s) towards the second elongated connecting area extends across the entire width of the plastic delivery bag.
  • According to the teaching of the present disclosure, it is particularly preferred in some preferred embodiments that the front bag wall and the rear bag wall do not include any other weakened areas except for the first and fourth and, where appropriate, the fifth and eighth weakened areas.
  • In some useful embodiments, the first, second, third, fourth and, where appropriate, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth weakened areas are, at least sectionally, disposed substantially orthogonal to the at least one other elongated weakened area which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened areas towards the second elongated connecting area.
  • Substantially orthogonal within the meaning of the present disclosure means that the two corresponding elements, such as weakened areas, do not deviate by more than 10°, in some cases by no more than 5°, preferably by no more than 2° from the ideal orthogonal orientation. Likewise, substantially parallel means that the two corresponding elements, such as weakened areas, do not deviate by more than 10°, in some cases by no more than 5°, preferably by no more than 2° from the ideal parallel orientation. Substantially aligned in the same direction means that the deviation from alignment in the same direction is no more than 30°, preferably substantially aligned in the same direction is typically substantially parallel.
  • In other embodiments, it is also preferred that the first, second, third, fourth and, where appropriate, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth weakened areas sectionally intersect with the at least one other elongated weakened area which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened areas towards the second elongated connecting area, in some cases in the form of intersecting perforation lines.
  • It is also preferred that the bag bottom comprises at least two, preferably substantially parallel, weakened areas, in some cases at least two weakened areas with a substantially identical average distance to the bottom fold. A substantially identical distance is achieved when the distances do not vary by more than 30%, in some cases 15%, preferably 5%.
  • The bag bottom is preferably connected to the first and second connecting areas, in some cases welded to it by the first and second welded seams. The use of said joint or welded seam for connecting the front bag wall and the rear bag wall and for affixing the bag bottom reduces the number of working steps during production considerably, and thus results in reduced production costs of the plastic delivery bags.
  • Another embodiment provides a plastic delivery bag including a closable bag opening, an opposite bag bottom, a front bag wall and an opposite rear bag wall, each with an upper edge, a lower edge, and first and second side edges, wherein the front bag wall and the rear bag wall are connected, in some cases welded to one another along or adjacent to their respective first and second side edges, thereby forming first or second elongated, longitudinally aligned connecting areas, in some cases first and second connecting strips or lines. The bag bottom includes a bottom fold or a third elongated, transversely aligned connecting area, in some cases a connecting strip or line, preferably a welded seam, or is formed by a bottom fold or said third elongated connecting area, in some cases a connecting strip or line, preferably a welded seam. A potentially elongated, thirteenth weakened area, in some cases a thirteenth perforation line, extends in the front bag wall from the bag bottom, in some cases from the bottom fold or the third elongated connecting area, adjacent to, and at a spacing from, the first elongated connecting area, in some cases the first connecting strip or line, towards the bag opening, in some cases not exceeding the half or the lower third of the plastic delivery bag, and/or a potentially elongated, fourteenth weakened area, in some cases a fourteenth perforation line, extends in the rear bag wall from the bag bottom, in some cases from the bottom fold or the third elongated connecting area, adjacent to, and at a spacing from, the first elongated connecting area, in some cases the first connecting strip or line, towards the bag opening. Where appropriate, a, potentially elongated, fifteenth weakened area, in some cases a fifteenth perforation line, extends in the front bag wall from the bag bottom, in some cases from the bottom fold or the third elongated connecting area, adjacent to, and at a spacing from, the second elongated connecting area, in some cases the second connecting strip or line, towards the bag opening, and/or where appropriate a, potentially elongated, sixteenth weakened area, in some cases a sixteenth perforation line, extends in the rear bag wall from the bag bottom, in some cases from the bottom fold or the third elongated connecting area, adjacent to, and at a spacing from, the second elongated connecting area, towards the bag opening, wherein at least one, potentially elongated, seventeenth weakened area, in some cases a seventeenth perforation line, extends in the bag bottom or the bottom fold from the, potentially elongated, thirteenth weakened area and/or the, potentially elongated, fourteenth weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area, in some cases at least to the fifteenth and/or sixteenth weakened area(s), and/or at least one, potentially elongated, eighteenth weakened area, in some cases an eighteenth perforation line, extends in the front bag wall adjacent to, and at a spacing from the bag bottom, in some cases the bottom fold or the third elongated connecting area, from the, potentially elongated, first elongated weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area, in some cases at least to the, potentially elongated, fifteenth weakened area, and/or wherein at least one, potentially elongated, nineteenth weakened area, in some cases a nineteenth perforation line, extends in the rear bag wall adjacent to, and at a spacing from, the bag bottom, in some cases the bottom fold or the third elongated connecting area from the, potentially elongated, fourteenth weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area, in some cases at least to the, potentially elongated, sixteenth weakened area.
  • In the above embodiment, the subject matter of which is a plastic delivery bag without a bottom fold, it is advantageous if the elongated thirteenth weakened area also extends towards the bag opening beyond the point from which the elongated eighteenth weakened area extends towards the second elongated connecting area, and/or if the elongated fourteenth weakened area also extends towards the bag opening beyond the point from which the elongated nineteenth weakened area extends towards the second elongated connecting area, and if, where appropriate, the elongated fifteenth weakened area also extends towards the bag opening beyond the point into which the eighteenth weakened area leads, and/or if, where appropriate, the elongated sixteenth weakened area also extends towards the bag opening beyond the point into which the nineteenth weakened area leads.
  • Furthermore, it is advantageous in the above embodiment, if the lower bag end has a V-shaped fold (V-fold), wherein this describes the type of fold arrangement and not the angle between the fold edges. Preferably, the different surfaces of the V-fold lie against one another in a folded state. Preferably, the V-shaped fold is formed by the bag front wall and the bag rear wall, as well as the bottom bag wall.
  • The following refers to embodiments which, in accordance with all embodiments described above, relate to particularly preferred aspects.
  • For example, it is particularly preferred when the front bag wall and the rear bag wall and, where appropriate, the first and second bottom fold sections are based on one continuous section of a continuous material strip, such as on a continuous plastic material film, wherein the bag bottom is also a component of said section of a continuous material strip. It is further preferred that the front bag wall, the rear bag wall and the bottom bag wall are components of one section of a continuous material strip, wherein the front bag wall and the rear bag wall are separated from the bottom bag wall, in some cases the first and second bottom fold sections, by folds, including folds which are part of a W-fold. This has the advantage that production can be considerably simplified, and production costs can be reduced. In some cases, no welded seams are often required here in order to connect the front bag wall and the rear bag wall and, where appropriate, the bottom bag wall at the lower end of the bag. The different bag walls can be separated from each other by folds. In some cases, the W-fold described above is suitable to differentiate the bag bottom from the front bag wall and the rear bag wall. This also has the advantage that material consumption in the production is reduced. It has also been found that folds are associated with improved material cohesion compared to welded seams.
  • It is also preferred that the front bag wall, the rear bag wall and the bag bottom as well as, where appropriate, the first bottom fold section and/or the second bottom fold section include at least one thermoplastic plastic material, particularly a polyester and/or a polyolefin, preferably consist of at least one thermoplastic plastic material, such as a polyester and/or a polyolefin.
  • Preferably, at least one wall of the bag, such as the front bag wall and/or the rear bag wall and/or the bottom bag wall is made of a plastic material that is watertight and/or opaque. Here, opaque means that the light intensity is significantly reduced by the respective wall of the bag, preferably by at least 30%, in some cases by at least 50%, and in a particularly preferred manner, by at least 70%. The water tightness serves to protect the articles for delivery, for example against weather-related influences such as rain, snow or humidity. The reduction in the level of light intensity also serves as protection, such as against UV bleaching, while also being important in order to ensure that postal confidentiality requirements are met if necessary.
  • In a particularly preferred embodiment of the plastic delivery bag according to the present disclosure, the front bag wall has a first length which corresponds to the average distance between the upper edge and the lower edge of the front bag wall, and the rear bag wall has a second length which corresponds to the average distance between the upper edge and the lower edge of the rear bag wall, wherein the first length is shorter than the second length, so that the rear bag wall protrudes over the front bag wall, in some cases on the upper end of the bag, and this section which protrudes over the front bag wall can be folded onto the front bag wall. The section of the rear bag wall which protrudes over the front bag wall can preferably be folded over in order to close the bag opening on the upper end of the bag.
  • It is also preferred that the front bag wall or rear bag wall, in some cases the section of the rear bag wall which protrudes over the front bag wall, comprises at least one fastener, wherein in some cases after said protruding section of the rear bag wall is folded over the front bag wall, said at least one fastener is designed to close the bag opening on the upper end of the bag. Preferably, the rear bag wall comprises a fastener on or adjacent to the upper edge of the rear bag wall, wherein in some cases after a section of the rear bag wall has been folded over onto the front bag wall, said fastener is designed to close the bag opening on the upper end of the bag. Alternatively or in addition, the front bag wall can also comprise a fastener in order to close the bag opening. By folding over, the bag is only deformed to a slight degree, so that documents are not creased, for example. In particular, a bag opening which uses a drawstring, for example, in order to narrow the opening through to full closure, would be less suitable for documents. In another embodiment, the at least one fastener is at least one first adhesive strip which preferably extends from a first side edge to the opposite second side edge.
  • Preferably, the first and/or the second bag opening can be closed with at least one adhesive strip (first adhesive strip). This would preferably extend along the top end of the bag, in some cases along (and where appropriate, at a distance from) the upper edge. Adhesive strips enable rapid, secure sealing. In a preferred embodiment, the closable opening can be closed using a fastener, preferably with at least one adhesive strip, potentially irreversibly, wherein preferably, the rear wall of the bag on the inside and/or the front wall of the bag on the outside comprises said fastener, in some cases in such a manner that they come into contact with the front bag wall or the rear bag wall if a section of the rear bag wall is folded onto the front bag wall. In one embodiment, the bag opening is reclosable with a second adhesive strip. The second adhesive strip preferably runs parallel to, and at spacing from, the second adhesive strip.
  • It is also preferred that the bag opening extends between the first side edge and the second side edge and is preferably defined by first or second connecting areas, in some cases first and second connecting strips or lines, on the first or second side edge, respectively. In one embodiment, the side edges are directly connected, in some cases welded to each other, thereby forming the connecting areas. This is advantageous since in this manner, the area for holding the articles to be delivered is maximized. In an alternative embodiment, the first and second elongated connecting areas, in some cases the first and second welded seams, do not coincide with the first and second side edges but are at a slight distance from them. Here, it is preferred that the first connecting area, in some cases the first welded seam, runs at a first average distance from the first side edges of the front bag wall and the rear bag wall, and the second connecting area, in some cases the second welded seam, runs at a second average distance from the second side edges of the front bag wall and the rear bag wall. Preferably, the first average distance and the second average distance are equal. It is further preferred that the first average distance and/or the second average distance is less than 3 cm, in some cases less than 2 cm, and preferably less than 1 cm. Welded seams which are not located directly on the side edges frequently have increased stability. Preferably, these welded seams are thermoplastic welded seams.
  • It has proved to be useful that the plastic delivery bag is characterized in that the upper edge of the front bag wall is below the upper edge of the rear bag wall, such that the rear bag wall forms a protruding foldable closing area and wherein the closing area includes a first adhesive, at least one second adhesive, and at least one weakened line, wherein the first adhesive can be or is separated from the second adhesive by this at least one weakened line. Preferably, the first and/or the at least one second adhesive and/or the at least one weakened line extend parallel to the opening side edge of the front and/or rear side of the bag, wherein in some cases the at least one weakened line is at a wider spacing from the opening-side rim of the bag than the first adhesive and the at least one other adhesive is at a wider spacing from the opening-side rim than the at least one weakened line.
  • The first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, and/or twelfth weakened areas, in some cases perforation lines, are preferably formed on the lower bag end. It is further preferred that all weakened areas are formed at the lower bag end.
  • In some embodiments, it is also advantageous that the first or second elongated connecting areas, respectively, in some cases the first and second connecting strips or lines, are aligned in the same direction, in some cases run substantially parallel or parallel to one another, and/or that the, potentially elongated, first, second, third, and fourth weakened areas, in some cases the first, second, third, and fourth perforation lines, are substantially aligned in the same direction, preferably run substantially parallel or parallel to one another, and/or that the, potentially elongated, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth weakened areas, in some cases the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth perforation lines, are substantially aligned in the same direction, preferably run substantially parallel or parallel to one another and in a particularly preferred manner overlap one another, and/or that the elongated tenth weakened area, in some cases the tenth perforation line, and the elongated twelfth weakened area, in some cases the twelfth perforation line, are substantially aligned in the same direction, preferably run substantially parallel or parallel to one another and in a particularly preferred manner overlap one another.
  • In a useful embodiment, the at least one weakened line is at least mostly and/or fully straight, wave-like, needled, or zig-zagged.
  • In some particularly suitable embodiments, the cross dimension of the rear bag wall and/or the front bag wall, measured from the first side edge to the second, opposite side edge of the bag is greater than the longitudinal dimension of the front bag wall and/or the rear bag wall, measured from the bag bottom to the bag opening.
  • Particularly during transport, a carrier handle, in some cases comprising a basic shape of a V or U, preferably of a square, rectangular, circular, semicircular, or oval design and particularly disposed on the front bag wall and/or rear bag wall and/or formed thereof, has shown to provide benefit. Instead, or in addition to, a carrier handle, at least one carrier loop or at least one carrier hole has proved to be suitable to make carrying or grabbing the bag easier. It is preferred according to the present disclosure that the lower bag end comprises at least one carrier handle, in some cases attached to, adjacent to, or lying against, the bottom of the delivery bag.
  • This has the advantage that a carrier handle or a carrier loop is located only in the place where the closed end of the bag sufficiently strengthens the bag material. In an alternative embodiment, the plastic delivery bag comprises a carrier handle on the upper bag end, in some cases in the region of the closable opening. In another particularly preferred embodiment according to the present disclosure, a carrier handle is omitted.
  • In numerous other particularly preferred embodiments, the plastic delivery bag is substantially formed in one piece.
  • The plastic delivery bag preferably further includes first and/or second side wall elements between the first side edges of the front bag wall and/or rear bag wall or the second side edges of the front bag wall and/or rear bag wall, respectively. It has proved to be advantageous that the side wall elements represent side folds and/or preferably include at least two side folds.
  • Adhesive strips, in some cases double sided adhesive strips, and/or adhesive have proved to be suitable adhesive or fastening means, respectively. In this context, it is preferred that one, preferably each, adhesive strip includes at least one detachable protective film, wherein the protective film particularly prevents that the front bag wall bonds to the rear bag wall.
  • The welded seams mostly and preferably are thermoplastic welded seams. A connecting area within the meaning of the present disclosure preferably is or includes a welded seam, which is created by heating or melting (on) a narrow film area of a thermoplastic plastic material, in some cases to a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature. Through the application of pressure, a connection is thus obtained between the now welded parts following cooling down. Experience has shown that plastic materials such as polyester and/or polyolefins are particularly suited to this purpose.
  • It is preferred that the front bag wall, the rear bag wall, the bag bottom, in some cases the plastic film lengths or sections that form the first and/or second bottom fold sections, are smooth-surfaced.
  • The present disclosure also relates to the use of a plastic delivery bag according to any one of the preceding claims for the transportation of goods for delivery, for example goods for delivery for online trading.
  • The present disclosure further relates to a method for producing plastic delivery bags, particularly the plastic delivery bags according to the disclosure described above, wherein
  • a) a film length is folded over, wherein the resulting two-ply film length comprises an opening-sided end and a folded end with a bottom fold, both extending along the film length,
  • b) the two-ply film length is perforated on the folded end, in some cases at a spacing of 0.5 cm to 3 cm from the folding edge, thereby forming at least two perforation seams, each ply of the two-ply film length comprising at least one perforation seam,
  • c) the folded end is folded over along its entire length, such that both the bottom fold and the at least two perforation seams lie against one another between the plies of the two-ply film length,
  • d) connecting areas, in some cases welded seams, and weakened areas, in some cases more perforations are provided, preferably in a substantially orthogonal orientation to the perforation seams, wherein the weakened areas intersect the perforation seams and are preferably disposed adjacent to, in some cases parallel to, the connecting areas.
  • e) where appropriate, separation of the bags, for example by a cutting machine, if this has not been done in step d) when forming the connecting areas.
  • FIG. 1 shows a plastic delivery bag (1), including a front bag wall (6) with an upper edge (10), a lower edge (14), and first and second side edges (18, 22). The rear bag wall (8) and upper edge (12) extend beyond the front bag wall (6), the rear bag wall (8) being inclined laterally in the protruding section. A closable bag opening (2) is formed between the upper edge (10) of the front bag wall (6) and the upper edge (12) of the rear bag wall (8). The bag bottom (4) with a bottom fold (5) is located on the opposite end. The front bag wall (6) and the rear bag wall (8) are welded to one another along or adjacent to their respective first and second side edges (18, 20; 22, 24—side edges 20, 24 of the rear bag wall 8 are not shown), thereby forming first or second elongated connecting areas (26, 28). A first weakened area (11), in some cases a first perforation line in the front bag wall (6), extends from the lower edge (14) of the front bag wall (6) in the front bag wall (6), adjacent to and at a spacing from the first elongated connecting area (26), towards the bag opening (2). The first weakened area (11) ends in the lower third of the plastic delivery bag (1). A tenth and twelfth weakened area (43, 47) extends along the bag bottom (4), however it is covered by the front bag wall (6). Nevertheless, the position of the tenth weakened area (43) is outlined.
  • FIG. 2 shows a similar embodiment, wherein a fifth weakened area (19), in some cases a fifth perforation line, extends in addition to the first weakened area from the transition from the bottom fold section (7) to the front bag wall (6), in some cases from the lower edge (14) of the front bag wall (6), adjacent to and at a spacing from the second elongated connecting area (28), towards the bag opening (2) in the front bag wall (6). The fifth weakened area (19) also ends in the lower third of the plastic delivery bag (1). A tenth and twelfth weakened area (43, 47) extends along the bag bottom (4), however it is covered by the front bag wall (6). Nevertheless, the position of the tenth weakened area (43) is outlined.
  • FIG. 3 shows another embodiment, which is equipped like the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, wherein the first weakened area (11) extends adjacent to and at a spacing from the first elongated connecting area (26) towards the bag opening (2) and comprises at its upper end a curvature which leads into the first side edge (18) of the front bag wall (6). A tenth and twelfth weakened area (43, 47) extends along the bag bottom (4), however it is covered by the front bag wall (6). Nevertheless, the position of the tenth weakened area (43) is outlined.
  • FIG. 4 shows the rear side of the embodiment according to FIG. 2. The plastic delivery bag (1) includes a rear bag wall (8) with an upper edge (12), a lower edge (16), and first and second side edges (20, 24). The position of the bag bottom (4) with the bottom fold (5) is outlined as well. Furthermore, the fourth weakened area (17) and the eighth weakened area (25) are shown in the form of a perforation in the rear bag wall (8).
  • A tenth and twelfth weakened area (43, 47) extends along the bag bottom (4), however it is covered by the rear bag wall (8). Nevertheless, the position of the tenth weakened area (43) is outlined.
  • FIG. 5 shows a cross section through a bag according to the present disclosure. The bag bottom (4) in this embodiment includes the first and second bottom fold sections (7, 9). Said bottom fold sections (7, 9) are separated by the bottom fold (5). A W-shaped fold is obtained together with the front bag wall (6) and the rear bag wall (8), wherein the folding edges are formed at the bottom fold (5) and at the lower edges (14, 16) of the front bag wall (6) and the rear bag wall (8).
  • FIG. 6 shows a plastic delivery bag (1) cut open along the connecting areas (26, 28), including a front bag wall (6), an opposite rear bag wall (8), each with upper edges (10, 12), lower edges (14, 16) and first and second side edges (18, 20; 22, 24). The plastic delivery bag (1) further includes a closable bag opening (2), an opposite bag bottom (4) with a bottom fold (5) and a first bottom fold section (7), which extends from the lower edge (14) of the front bag wall (6) to the bottom fold (5), and a second bottom fold section (9), which extends from the lower edge (16) of the rear bag wall (8) to the bottom fold (5). The front bag wall (6) and the rear bag wall (8) are welded to one another along or adjacent to their respective first and second side edges (18, 20; 22, 24), thereby forming first and second connecting areas (26, 28), in some cases first and second connecting strips or lines. Respective elongated first, second, third, and fourth weakened areas (11, 13, 15, 17) in the form of first, second, third, and fourth perforation lines extend from the lower edge (14) of the front bag wall (6) and from the lower edge (16) of the rear bag wall (8). Said weakened areas (11, 13, 15, 17) are disposed adjacent to and at a spacing from the first elongated connecting area (26). Other weakened areas (41, 43, 45, 47) extend orthogonally from the elongated first, second, third and/or fourth weakened areas towards the second elongated connecting area (28). Elongated fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth weakened areas (19, 21, 23, 25) in the form of fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth perforation lines, extend parallel to the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened areas from the lower edge (14) of the front bag wall (6) or the lower edge (16) of the rear bag wall (8), respectively, adjacent to and at a spacing from the second elongated connecting area (28) towards the bag opening (2) in the front bag wall (6) and the rear bag wall (8) as well as the first and second bottom fold sections (7, 9). Here, the first and fifth weakened areas (11, 19) are disposed in the front bag wall (6), the second and sixth weakened areas (13, 21) in the first bottom fold section (7), the third and seventh weakened areas (15, 23) in the second bottom fold section (9), and the fourth and eighth weakened areas (17, 25) in the rear bag wall (8). The other weakened areas (41, 43, 45, 47) include an elongated ninth weakened area (41), which extends parallel to the lower edge of the front bag wall (6) from the first and second weakened areas (11, 13) towards the second elongated connecting area (28). The other weakened areas (41, 43, 45, 47) further include an elongated tenth weakened area (43), which extends from the second weakened area (13) towards the second elongated connecting area (28) in the first bottom fold section (7). The other weakened areas (41, 43, 45, 47) include an elongated eleventh weakened area (45), which extends parallel to the lower edge of the rear bag wall (8) from the third and fourth weakened areas (15, 17) towards the second elongated connecting area (28). The other weakened areas (41, 43, 45, 47) further include an elongated twelfth weakened area (47), which extends beyond the seventh weakened area (21) from the third weakened area (15) towards the second elongated connecting area (28) in the second bottom fold section (9).
  • In the not cut open bag, the elongated first, second, third, and fourth weakened areas (11, 13, 15, 17) extend towards the bag opening (2) beyond the point (60) from which the elongated tenth weakened area (43) extends towards the second elongated connecting area (28). In the not cut open bag, the first, second, third, and fourth weakened areas (11, 13, 15, 17) also extend towards the bag opening (2) beyond the point (62) from which the elongated twelfth weakened area (47) extends towards the second elongated connecting area (28). In the not cut open bag, the elongated fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth weakened areas (19, 21, 23, 25) also extend towards the bag opening (2) beyond the point (64) into which the elongated tenth weakened area (43) leads. In the not cut open bag, the elongated fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth weakened areas (19, 21, 23, 25) also extend towards the bag opening (2) beyond the point (66) into which the elongated twelfth weakened area (47) leads.
  • FIG. 7 shows a an embodiment largely similar to FIG. 6, wherein however a twenty-first weakened area (51) and a twenty-second weakened area (53) are depicted instead of an eleventh (45) and a ninth (41) weakened area. In this embodiment, the at least one elongated other weakened area which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area includes at least one twenty-first and/or twenty-second weakened area(s) (51, 53), wherein the twenty-first weakened area (51) is attached adjacent to and at a spacing from the lower edge of the front side of the bag (6) in the front side of the bag, and the twenty-second weakened area (53) is attached adjacent to and at a spacing from the lower edge of the rear side of the bag in the rear side of the bag (8).
  • FIG. 8 shows another embodiment of the plastic delivery bag (1). It also includes a closable bag opening (2), an opposite bag bottom (4), a front bag wall (6) and an opposite rear bag wall (8), each with an upper edge (10, 12), lower edge (14, 16), first and second side edges (18, 20; 22, 24), wherein the front bag wall (6) and the rear bag wall (8) are connected, in some cases welded together, along or adjacent to their respective first and second side edges (18, 20; 22, 24), thereby forming first or second elongated, longitudinally aligned connecting areas (26, 28), in some cases first and second connecting strips or lines. Here, the bag bottom (4) includes a bottom fold (30), wherein an elongated thirteenth weakened area (32) in the front bag wall (6) extends adjacent to, and at a spacing from the first elongated connecting area (26), from said bottom fold (30) towards the bag opening (2), not exceeding the half or lower third of the plastic delivery bag, and wherein an elongated fourteenth weakened area (34) in the rear bag wall (8) extends adjacent to, and at a spacing from the first elongated connecting area (26), from said bottom fold (30) towards the bag opening (2), wherein an elongated fifteenth weakened area (36) in the front bag wall (6) extends adjacent to, and at a spacing from the second elongated connecting area (28), from said bottom fold (30) towards the bag opening (2), and wherein an elongated sixteenth weakened area (38) in the rear bag wall (8) extends adjacent to, and at a spacing from the second elongated connecting area (28), from said bottom fold (30) towards the bag opening (2), and wherein an elongated seventeenth weakened area (40) extends from the thirteenth weakened area (32) and the fourteenth weakened area (34) towards the second elongated connecting area (28) in the bag bottom (4) or bottom fold (30), respectively, wherein at least one eighteenth weakened area (42) extends in the front bag wall (6) adjacent to and at a spacing from the bottom fold (30) from the first weakened area (32) towards the second elongated connecting area (28), wherein at least one nineteenth weakened area (44) extends in the rear bag wall (8) adjacent to and at a spacing from the bottom fold (30) from the fourteenth weakened area (34) towards the second elongated connecting area (28). The embodiment is further characterized in that the elongated thirteenth weakened area (32) also extends towards the bag opening (2) beyond the point (46) from which the elongated eighteenth weakened area (42) extends towards the second elongated connecting area (28), and in that the elongated fourteenth weakened area (34) extends towards the bag opening (2) beyond the point (48) from which the elongated nineteenth weakened area (44) extends towards the second elongated connecting area (28), and in that, where appropriate, the elongated fifteenth weakened area (36) also extends towards the bag opening (2) beyond the point (50) into which the eighteenth weakened area (42) leads, and in that, where appropriate, the elongated sixteenth weakened area (38) also extends towards the bag opening (2) beyond the point (52) into which the nineteenth weakened area (42) leads.
  • The features of the present disclosure disclosed in the above description, the claims and the figures can be relevant both individually and in combination for implementing the various embodiments of the present disclosure.

Claims (21)

1. A plastic delivery bag, including a front bag wall and an opposite rear bag wall, each with upper edges and lower edges and first and second side edges, a bag opening, an opposite bag bottom with a bottom fold and a first bottom fold section which extends from the lower edge of the front bag wall to the bottom fold, and a second bottom fold section which extends from the lower edge of the rear bag wall to the bottom fold,
wherein the front bag wall and the rear bag wall are connected along or adjacent to their respective first and second side edges, thereby forming first and second connecting areas,
wherein at least one first, second, third and fourth weakened areas extend from the transition from the first bottom fold section to the front bag wall and from the transition from the second bottom fold section to the rear bag wall at least sectionally adjacent to, and spaced apart from, the first elongated connecting area towards the bag opening in the front bag wall and the rear bag wall as well as the first and second bottom fold sections, and
wherein at least one elongated other weakened area extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area(s) towards the second elongated connecting area.
2. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
at least one elongated, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth weakened areas extend from the transition from the first bottom fold section to the front bag wall, and from the transition from the second bottom fold section to the rear bag wall, adjacent to, and at spaced apart from, the second elongated connecting area towards the bag opening in the front bag wall and the rear bag wall as well as the first and second bottom fold sections.
3. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the at least one elongated other weakened area, which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened areas towards the second elongated connecting area,
includes or represents at least one elongated ninth weakened area which extends from the first and/or second weakened area(s) to the second elongated connecting area in the transition from the front bag wall to the first bottom fold section, and/or
includes or represents at least one elongated tenth weakened area which extends from the second weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area in the first bottom fold section, and/or
includes or represents at least one elongated eleventh weakened area which extends from the third and/or fourth weakened area(s) towards the second elongated connecting area in the transition from the rear bag wall to the first bottom fold section, and/or
includes or represents at least one elongated twelfth weakened area which extends from the third weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area in the second bottom fold section, and/or
includes or represents at least one elongated twentieth weakened area which extends along the bottom fold from the second and/or third weakened area(s) towards the second elongated connecting area.
4. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 3, wherein:
the elongated second weakened area or the elongated first, second, third, and fourth weakened areas also extend towards the bag opening beyond the point from which the elongated tenth weakened area extends towards the second elongated connecting area and/or the elongated sixth weakened area, and/or
the elongated third weakened area or the elongated first, second, third, and fourth weakened areas also extend towards the bag opening beyond the point from which the elongated twelfth weakened area extends towards the second elongated connecting area and/or the elongated seventh weakened area, and/or
that, where appropriate, the elongated sixth weakened area or the elongated fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth weakened areas also extend towards the bag opening beyond the point into which the elongated tenth weakened area leads, starting from the first side edge or first connecting area, and/or
that, where appropriate, the elongated seventh weakened area or the elongated fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth weakened areas also extend towards the bag opening beyond the point into which the elongated twelfth weakened area leads, starting from the first side edge or first connecting area.
5. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the bag comprises a W-shaped fold in the region of the bag bottom.
6. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the plastic delivery bag has a length that is calculated in accordance with the average distance between the upper and lower edges of the rear side of the bag, wherein the first, second, third, fourth, and, where appropriate, the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth weakened areas are only present in the lower third of the plastic delivery bag and/or wherein the maximum extension of the first, second, third, fourth, and, where appropriate, the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth weakened areas in the direction from the bag bottom towards the bag opening corresponds to a maximum of 20% of the length of the plastic delivery bag.
7. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the first, second, third, fourth weakened areas are sectionally curved and lead into the first side edge and/or the first connecting area.
8. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the at least one elongated other weakened area, which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened areas towards the second elongated connecting area, extends across the entire width of the plastic delivery bag.
9. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the first, second, third, fourth, and, where appropriate, the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth weakened areas sectionally intersect with the at least one elongated other weakened area, which extends from the first, second, third, and/or fourth weakened area(s) towards the second elongated connecting area.
10. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the bag bottom comprises at least two elongated other weakened areas.
11. A plastic delivery bag, including a closable bag opening, an opposite bag bottom, a front bag wall, an opposite rear bag wall, each with upper edges and lower edges and first and second side edges,
wherein the front bag wall and the rear bag wall are connected along or adjacent to their respective first and second side edges, thereby forming first or second elongated, longitudinally aligned connecting areas,
wherein the bag bottom includes a bottom fold or a third elongated transversely aligned connecting area or is formed of a bottom fold or said third elongated connecting area,
wherein a thirteenth weakened area extends in the front bag wall from the bag bottom, adjacent to, and spaced apart from, the first elongated connecting area towards the bag opening, and/or
wherein a fourteenth weakened area extends in the rear bag wall from the bag bottom adjacent to, and spaced apart from, the first elongated connecting area towards the bag opening,
wherein a fifteenth weakened area extends in the front bag wall from the bag bottom adjacent to, and spaced apart from, the second elongated connecting area towards the bag opening, and/or
wherein, where appropriate, a sixteenth weakened area extends in the rear bag wall from the bag bottom towards the bag opening,
wherein at least one seventeenth weakened area extends in the bag bottom or the bottom fold from the thirteenth weakened area and/or the fourteenth weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area, and/or
wherein at least one eighteenth weakened area extends in the front bag wall adjacent to, and at a spacing from the bag bottom, from the first elongated weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area, and/or
wherein at least one nineteenth weakened area extends in the rear bag wall adjacent to, and spaced apart from the bag bottom from the fourteenth elongated weakened area towards the second elongated connecting area.
12. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 11, wherein:
the elongated thirteenth weakened area also extends towards the bag opening beyond the point from which the elongated eighteenth weakened area extends towards the second elongated connecting area, and/or
the elongated fourteenth weakened area also extends towards the bag opening beyond the point from which the elongated nineteenth weakened area extends towards the second elongated connecting area, and
where appropriate, the elongated fifteenth weakened area also extends towards the bag opening beyond the point into which the elongated eighteenth weakened area leads, and
where appropriate, the elongated sixteenth weakened area also extends towards the bag opening beyond the point into which the elongated nineteenth weakened area leads.
13. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the front bag wall and the rear bag wall and, where appropriate, the first and second bottom fold sections are based on one continuous section of a continuous material strip, wherein the bag bottom is also a component of said section of a continuous material strip.
14. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the front bag wall, the rear bag wall and the bag bottom as well as, where appropriate, the first bottom fold section and/or the second bottom fold section include at least one thermoplastic material or consist of at least one thermoplastic material, and/or
the front bag wall and/or rear bag wall and/or the bag bottom and/or the first bottom fold section and/or the second bottom fold section are watertight and/or opaque.
15. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the front bag wall has a first length which corresponds to the average distance between the upper edge and the lower edge of the front bag wall, and that the rear bag wall has a second length which corresponds to the average distance between the upper edge and the lower edge of the rear bag wall, wherein the first length is shorter than the second length, so that the rear bag wall protrudes over the front bag wall on the upper end of the bag, and this section which protrudes over the front bag wall can be folded onto the front bag wall.
16. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 15, wherein:
the front or the rear bag wall or the section protruding over the front bag wall comprises at least one fastener on the upper end of the bag, wherein said at least one fastener is designed to close the bag opening on the upper end of the bag.
17. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 16, wherein:
said at least one fastener is designed to close the bag opening on the upper end of the bag after said protruding section of the rear bag wall is folded over the front bag wall.
18. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the upper edge of the front bag wall is below the upper edge of the rear bag wall, such that the rear bag wall forms a protruding foldable closing area, and wherein the closing area includes a first adhesive, at least one second adhesive, and at least one weakened line, wherein the first adhesive can be or is separated from the second adhesive by this at least one weakened line, and that the at least one weakened line comprises a first and at least one second perforation seams, wherein the first and at least one second perforation seams are spaced apart from one another and substantially aligned in the same direction, and wherein the front bag wall, the rear bag wall, and the bag bottom as well as, where appropriate, the side walls and/or side folds of the bag are substantially or completely based on, or at least partially include, a plastic material.
19. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the plastic delivery bag is substantially formed in one piece.
20. The plastic delivery bag according to claim 1, wherein:
the welded seams are thermoplastic welded seams.
21. A method for producing plastic delivery bags according to claim 1, wherein:
a) a film length is folded over, wherein the resulting two-ply film length comprises an opening-sided end extending along the film length and a folded end with a bottom fold,
b) the two-ply film length is perforated on the folded end with the formation of at least two perforation seams, each ply of the two-ply film length comprising at least one perforation seam,
c) the folded end is folded over along its entire length, such that both the bottom fold and the at least two perforation seams lie against one another between the plies of the two-ply film length,
d) connecting areas and weakened areas are formed, wherein the weakened areas intersect the perforation seams and are disposed adjacent to the connecting areas, and
e) where appropriate, the bags are separated if this has not been done in step d) when forming the connecting areas.
