Abstract

This invention relates to the hand held water spray device in washing the private part, particular for the anus area after the stool. The device is portable and convenient to install at home, office or hospital. The low-cost hand held spray device uses a low power immersion electric motor/pump placed inside a small water tank via the flexible hose and nozzle controlled by the user's hand which is pointing upward toward the target area with point-blank efficiency at the toilet bowl. No complicated mechanism and plumbing as standard bidet will be required.
The said spray nozzle will be at constant outlet water pressure, at a constant flow rate and the cleaning operation time is about 60 seconds to complete and empty the water tank for skillful users. Otherwise the user has to refill the tank with warm water again by hand.

  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • Welcome to another level of body hygiene device with the new SEPTICTEK sanitary water spray. The device with the nozzle will clean the private part namely the anus which is hard to reach or to see after the bowel discharging the waste at the toilet.
  • The device is equipped with a small water tank and small pump which will supply the water via small diameter flexible hose with handle and spray nozzle at the end. It is low pressure, similar to the showerhead and water pik for teeth. The said water tank with storage volume about one gallon is placed on the top of existing toilet tank. Therefore, the installation of the device is easy and inexpensive because no additional plumbing is needed. Since the device is small and portable, it can be carried in a small personal bag when travelling.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • Over the years, hundreds of bidet types and hand held washing devices have been invented such as U.S. Pat. No. 8,281,423, “Multi-use portable hand held hygiene device”, issued Oct. 9, 2012; U.S. Pat. No. 6,167,577, “Personal hygiene device, toilet bidet, issued Jan. 2, 2001; and U.S. Pat. No. 7,127,750, “Toilet system attached a hand held sprayer”, issued Oct. 31, 2006. Most of these patented devices have the same components and connected directly to the household water supply that are unlimited in water volume while the present invention has the limitation. In order to reduce the municipal high water pressure (60 psi-80 psi) to the low pressure (8 psi) at the spray nozzle, a complicated and costly component system is needed.
  • In addition to being expensive to make the product in the market, they all have some drawbacks and hard to maintain as cited by Inventor M. C. Taylor in U.S. Pat. No. 8,281,423.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY AND OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention provides a handheld water spray for private part personal body hygiene.
  • The free-standing device having a water tank and hose with a restricted opening nozzle outlet for optimum water flow rate at adequate velocity and low pressure.
  • It is the main object of the disclosure to provide a unique method for cleansing the private part with the pressured water spray instead of toilet paper in the modern digital paperless environment. The device provides a low-cost and affordable personal hygiene water spray unit in the growing populations (consuming 23.6 rolls or 50 pounds (23 kg) of tissue paper per capita per year. There are other problems by use paper in the toilet as cited by inventor G. H. Smith in U.S. Pat. No. 7,913,329). The device can be installed easily in the average household bathroom and manually operated by convenient wireless control on/off switch without any water valve involved. And the unit is a small fabricated no see-through plastic box and flexible hose that is of standard PVC fittings, solvent welded to provide good child-proof safety electrical device.
  • It is a further object of the present invention to provide a novel personal hygiene device for the children in the world (under the supervision of parents).
  • It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a novel personal hygiene device which will reduce the fear and pain associated with bowel movement for those who have suffered with anal skin problems when wiping with paper by hand.
  • It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a novel personal hygiene device which can be performed and directed by the user's hand at direction aiming the specific target area point-blank with greater efficiency which requires more practice in the toilet training.
  • It is still another object of the present invention to provide a novel personal hygiene device which is small and portable and can be placed in a personal bag when traveling.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • By way of example certain specific embodiments of this invention will be described in brief, reference being made according to accompanying ten (10) drawings:
  • FIG. 1 is the general conception of flow diagram as reason for this invention.
  • FIG. 2 is the schematic detail with most components namely front view with cross-section details and the top view FIG. 2A with opening (18) for water input and shampoo (optional).
  • FIG. 3 is the schematic diagram showing the invention device can be installed on the top of the existing toilet tank or other portable stand support having the gravity water flow outlet at 0.433 PSI per foot of head over toilet seat.
  • FIG. 4 is the standard pump design curve with discharge flow rate v.s. water level head. The pump is one of the prior art components to assist and increase the delivery of the required water flow in addition to the gravity flow.
  • FIG. 5 is the schematic diagram with most components relationship particular in the handles with three different size (A) large, (B) medium and (C) small (children).
  • FIG. 6 is the schematic diagram relationship with the existing toilet seat and FIG. 6A is the wireless on/off switch (20A) that will hang over the user's shoulder. The delivery hose (15) is limited to max. 4 ft. to reduce the friction head loss.
  • FIG. 7 is the schematic diagram for a two unit installation (option) in a bathroom.
  • FIG. 8 is the schematic diagram showing that in situation where there is no electricity outlet or in travelling, the Septictek device can be operated with 12V DC lithium ion battery.
  • DETAILS DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention SEPTICTEK 10 as shown on FIG. 2 will provide the water spray device in which the device will perform the sanitary water spray cleaning the private part namely the anus area after the stool discharge instead of toilet paper 24. The handy light weight handle 16 will spray the intended body part with the water from the water tank 11 and pump/motor 12 via the flexible hose 15 and spray nozzle 17 which should be washed and cleaned with the flush water from toilet tank before and after stool discharge.
  • The motor/pump 12 will release some heat to warm the tap water when it is in operation and it is quiet. There is screen 14 to prevent any particles and debris. The bolted lid 11A can be opened for maintenance when needed.
  • The new invention is different from the water pik for teeth cleaning because the pik has the horizontal impeller assembly with high impact noise for the water spray jet at high speed.
  • The user can pour into the water tank 11 with warm water into the air release 18 from the nearby faucet tap water at user preferred temperature moments before sitting down on the toilet seat. The components are all connected and this is a device that is designed for simplicity and ease of use. The portable device will be placed on top of the existing toilet flush tank 26 or other support behind the toilet seat as shown on the FIG. 6.
  • The auto on and off switch for the cleansing operation is controlled by the receiver 20 and the wireless transmitter 20A will hang over the user's shoulder thus it's button can be easily touched by the user's hand while at the toilet seat as shown on FIG. 6 and FIG. 6A. The device can also be controlled by the user's foot if he or she has lost one hand and if the floor switch is placed nearby the toilet seat. The device shall connect to the said receiver 20 first then connect to the household 120 V outlet (GFCI) 23. When the SEPTICTEK 10 is not being used, the said hose 15 shall be hung around the said water tank 11 for safe keeping 25. The said spray nozzle 17 should be covered with towel or paper to prevent dusty and keep in a sanitary condition.
  • The SEPTICTEK 10 will turn off when the water is too low and it will make small warning noise because of air intake instead of water at the said motor/pump 12.
  • However, in situation where there is no household electricity available for said outlet 23 or in travelling, the SEPTICTEK 10 can be operated with 12V DC lithium ion battery 23A with DC motor/pump 12A embodiment as shown on FIG. 8 instead of said standard AC motor/pump 12.
  • The nozzle 17 is an integral part of the device and the opening size cross section is small enough to deliver the adequate pressure and velocity V=Q/A toward the spray area where the Q is the constant flow rate GPM from the hose 15 which is connected to the water tank 11 and small immersion electric motor/pump 12 with low power at less than 0.5 Amp (120 ACV/60 Hz).
  • The said nozzle 17 will also deliver the water in part, by the gravity flow at 0.433 psi per foot of head over the toilet seat. The tap water contains chlorine which is a good disinfectant on skin.
  • The cleaning operation takes about 1 to 2 minutes in norm to empty the said water tank 11 and in the meantime, the cleaning task shall be complete. However, the task will also depend on the fresh discharge quality and quantity from the daily food intake. The quality is good and easy to clean if more veggie and fruit with high fiber diet and less red meat. If it takes more time, the user will have to refill the tank 11 with warm water again and again. For high efficiency, the operation may need both user's hands: one hand holds the spray nozzle upward toward the anal area and at the same time, the other hand pulls the buttock muscle away from the anal opening while sitting on the toilet seat similar to by walking on the high stairs.
  • It is understood that the preferable embodiment may be comprised of other materials that are more expensive and decorative, said materials being known to those of skill in the art. It is further understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above, but may encompass any and all embodiment as described herewith.
