Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • Field of the Disclosure
  • The disclosure relates to hat and decoration combinations and more particularly pertains to a new hat and decoration combination for allowing a person to add a decorative element to a hat.
  • SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a first magnet is configured to be positioned on an outer surface of an apex of a hat. A hub is attached to and extends upwardly from the first magnet. The hub is rotatably coupled to the first magnet. A plurality of blades is attached to and extends away from the hub. A second magnet is magnetically engaged with the first magnet. The second magnet is configured to be positioned on an inner surface of the hat opposite of the first magnet such that the first and second magnets are releasably engaged to the perimeter wall. The hub thereafter rotates with respect to the hat.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a hat embellishing system according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a bottom perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is a top perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new hat and decoration combination embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the hat embellishing system 10 generally comprises a hat 12 including a perimeter wall 14 having an apex 16 positioned distal to a bottom edge 18 of the perimeter wall 14. The bottom edge 18 defines an opening extending upwardly into the hat 12 for receiving a person's head. The perimeter wall 14 has an outer surface 20 and an inner surface 22. As can be seen in the Figures, the hat 12 may be a conventional baseball type cap or other types of hats having a brim that is the co-extensive with the bottom edge 18. The second magnet 24 may have a centrally disposed well 32 for receiving a button 34 on the apex 14 of a hat 12 when the hat 12 is a baseball cap as shown in FIG. 2.
  • A first magnet 24 is positioned on the outer surface 20 adjacent to the apex 16. A hub 26 is attached to and extends upwardly from the first magnet 24. The hub 26 is rotatably coupled to the first magnet 24. The term attached herein indicates that the hub 26 is essentially coupled to the first magnet 24 such that a base or housing may be positioned between the hub 26 and the first magnet 24. A plurality of blades 28 is attached to and extends away from the hub 26. The blades 28 and hub 26 will rotate relative to the first magnet 24 when air blows across the blades 28. The blades 28 may be comprised of metallic, lightweight material having a highly reflective surface.
  • A second magnet 30 is provided which is positioned on the inner surface 22 opposite of the first magnet 24. The first magnet 24 is magnetically coupled to the second magnet 30 such that the first 24 and second 30 magnets are releasably engaged to the perimeter wall 14 due to the attraction between the first 24 and second 30 magnets causing such to frictionally engage the perimeter wall 14. Instead of utilizing a first 24 and second 30 magnet, only one magnet may be used and the other may comprise a magnetically attractive material. When the first 24 and second 30 magnets are magnetically engaged with each other, the hub 26 will rotate with respect to the hat 12. Depending on the strength of the first 24 and second 30 magnets, the hub 26 may be attachable to other head coverings including helmets and the like.
  • In use, a user of the system 10 may selectively attach the hub 26 and blades 28 to the hat 12 utilizing the first 24 and second 30 magnets and may thereafter remove the hub 26 as desired. The first 24 and second 30 magnets allow the user to attach the hub 26 to any desired hat 12.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
