Description
- Field of the Disclosure
- The disclosure relates to hat and decoration combinations and more particularly pertains to a new hat and decoration combination for allowing a person to add a decorative element to a hat.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a first magnet is configured to be positioned on an outer surface of an apex of a hat. A hub is attached to and extends upwardly from the first magnet. The hub is rotatably coupled to the first magnet. A plurality of blades is attached to and extends away from the hub. A second magnet is magnetically engaged with the first magnet. The second magnet is configured to be positioned on an inner surface of the hat opposite of the first magnet such that the first and second magnets are releasably engaged to the perimeter wall. The hub thereafter rotates with respect to the hat.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of a hat embellishing system according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a bottom perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a top perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new hat and decoration combination embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , the hat embellishingsystem 10 generally comprises ahat 12 including aperimeter wall 14 having anapex 16 positioned distal to abottom edge 18 of theperimeter wall 14. Thebottom edge 18 defines an opening extending upwardly into thehat 12 for receiving a person's head. Theperimeter wall 14 has anouter surface 20 and aninner surface 22. As can be seen in the Figures, thehat 12 may be a conventional baseball type cap or other types of hats having a brim that is the co-extensive with thebottom edge 18. Thesecond magnet 24 may have a centrally disposed well 32 for receiving abutton 34 on theapex 14 of ahat 12 when thehat 12 is a baseball cap as shown inFIG. 2 . - A
first magnet 24 is positioned on theouter surface 20 adjacent to theapex 16. Ahub 26 is attached to and extends upwardly from thefirst magnet 24. Thehub 26 is rotatably coupled to thefirst magnet 24. The term attached herein indicates that thehub 26 is essentially coupled to thefirst magnet 24 such that a base or housing may be positioned between thehub 26 and thefirst magnet 24. A plurality ofblades 28 is attached to and extends away from thehub 26. Theblades 28 andhub 26 will rotate relative to thefirst magnet 24 when air blows across theblades 28. Theblades 28 may be comprised of metallic, lightweight material having a highly reflective surface. - A
second magnet 30 is provided which is positioned on theinner surface 22 opposite of thefirst magnet 24. Thefirst magnet 24 is magnetically coupled to thesecond magnet 30 such that the first 24 and second 30 magnets are releasably engaged to theperimeter wall 14 due to the attraction between the first 24 and second 30 magnets causing such to frictionally engage theperimeter wall 14. Instead of utilizing a first 24 and second 30 magnet, only one magnet may be used and the other may comprise a magnetically attractive material. When the first 24 and second 30 magnets are magnetically engaged with each other, thehub 26 will rotate with respect to thehat 12. Depending on the strength of the first 24 and second 30 magnets, thehub 26 may be attachable to other head coverings including helmets and the like. - In use, a user of the
system 10 may selectively attach thehub 26 andblades 28 to thehat 12 utilizing the first 24 and second 30 magnets and may thereafter remove thehub 26 as desired. The first 24 and second 30 magnets allow the user to attach thehub 26 to any desiredhat 12. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
