The present invention relates to a heel-piece for boots and shoes, which comprises a main body and at least one part easily detachable from this main body and forming the rear part of the heel (which is the part that wears away the most rapidly), with the object of ensuring the easy interchange of this rear part without taking the main body on the shoe to which it is fixed.

The single figure in the appended drawing represents, as an example, in perspective, one embodiment of the heel-piece for boots and shoes according to the invention.

The heel-piece represented comprises a main body l-in rubber, for example-fixed by an adhesive on to a thin sheet of rubber 2. The heelpiece also includes a part 3, easily detachable from the main body I and intended to form the rear part of the heel, which wears away the most rapidly in use. This part 3 is manufactured in one piece with the body I, from which it is afterwards separated by cutting along the surface 4. The part 3 is also fixed by an adhesive to the sheet of rubber 2.

The heel-piece represented further includes another part 3' identical with 3 and placed symmetrically to the part 3 in relation to the body I. The normal position of this part 3' is indicated by broken lines; the continuous lines show it in process of being detached from the body I. This part 3' also is made in one piece with the body I and it is rendered independent of this body by sectioning. This part 3' is also fixed by an adhesive to the sheet of rubber 2.

The method of fastening the heel-piece to a shoe is as follows:

The sheet of rubber 2 is made to bend at the place Where the main body i is in contact with 3', as shown by the continuous lines in the drawing, then the sheet of rubber 2 is cut in the region so bent. Afterwards, the sheet of rubber 2 is detached from the body I and the part 3 and the sticky surface of this body and of this part is pressed against the heel of the shoe, then this body and this part are nailed on to the heel of the shoe, the nails being placed in the holes 5 of the heel-piece. The part 3 so detached constitutes a spare which will serve to replace the part 3 when it is worn down, without the main body I having to be taken oii the shoe to which 50 tegral with more than two detachable parts such as 3 and 3', one of these parts forming the rear portion of the heel and the others constituting spares. 5 It is understood that, in other embodiments, the sheet of rubber 2 may be dispensed with. In that case, the parts I and 3, respectively 3, would be separated simply by a cut made at 4.

What I claim is:

1. A shoe heel comprising in combination a main heel body and two equally shaped heel parts easily detachably attached to said main heel body, the first of said equally shaped heel parts being attached to said main heel body at the rear edge thereof and the second of said equally shaped heel parts being attached to said main heel body along another edge thereof and being detached from said main heel body before the same is afiixed to a shoe.

A shoe heel comprising in combination a main heel body and two equally shaped heel parts easily detachably attached to said main heel body, the first of said equally shaped heel parts being attached to said main heel body at the 25 rear edge thereof and the second of said equally shaped heel parts being attached to said main heel body along the front edge thereof and being detached from said main heel body before the same is afiixed to a shoe.

A shoe heel comprising in combination a main heel body having equally shaped curved front and rear edges and two equally shaped heel parts provided with equally shaped curved edges having the same curvature as said equally shaped 35 curved front and rear edges of said main heel body and easily detachably attached along said equally shaped curved edges to said equally shaped curved front and rear edges of said main heel .body. 40
