MASSAGE APPARATUS FOR BREAST WITH ADAPTOR RING FOR CHANGING SIZE Filed May 12, 1965 INVENTOR United States Patent MASSAGE APPARATUS FOR BREAST WITH ADAPTOR RING FOR CHANGING SIZE Ryugo Terauchi, 236 3-chome Ogikubo, Suginami-ku, Tokyo, Japan Filed May 12, 1965, Ser. No. 455,252
Claims priority, application Japan, Nov. 2, 1964,
39/ 85,242 4 Claims. (Cl. 128-36) This invention relates to a massage apparatus for massaging the breasts of the human body. Hither-to for the purpose of enlarging womens breasts, it has been proposed to employ methods of surgical treatment, to apply hormones or the like and to employ various kinds of massage.
However, it has been found that the use of surgical treatment for orthopedically shaping breasts, has resulted in pain and danger to the patient and the use of medicines often caused a mammary cancer. Further in employing massage, due to the difference of individual characteristics, it was found that the frequency of massaging differs with the individual and when used in excess the fatty property has gone away and the breasts are adversely affected. Also when using massage by hands, due to the fact that the impulses imparted to the breasts are not uniform, it is possible that the breasts can become badly disfigured.
It is generally recognized that treatments by massage to a woman in the child bed affects the vasodilation of the blood vessels of her mammary gland organ whereby the fiow of blood is accelerated and in turn the mammary secretion will become active; thus together with internal secretions of hormone it makes feeding of the breast milk easier. Thus, to those who are suffering from mal-secretion of mammary organ or the stay of breast milk, this treatment has been found to be an effective method of curing these conditions as compared with hormone medicines.
Howeved even with such massage treatment to the breasts, effective means have not yet been found which are considered to be suitable for use with a woman who is lying in bed.
The object of the present invention is to solve such disadvantages and provide a proper remedy for those suffering from mammary troubles.
The massage apparatus of the present invention is shaped like a ladys brassiere, comprising a pair of cups made of natural rubber or synthetic rubber or the like each of which will entirely cover a breast. On the outer bottom of each cup, a small size motor is installed and a'fiying wheel is eccentrically journalled in the revolution shaft of the motor. As the wheel rotates, Vibrations generated thereby will be delivered to the cup, which vibrations may be adjusted by means of a control device, and in turn delivered to the breasts. The cups enclose the breasts air tightly so that such vibrations will be delivered to the overall area of the breasts through the medium of air. Thus the soft yet uniform impulse is imparted to the overall surface of the breasts, and the compressive strength of such impulse may be adjusted by a control device so that it will be suitable to the individual woman lying in bed.
Reference is made to the accompanying drawings wherein:
FIG. 1 is a front view of a massage apparatus in accordance with the present invention, a part thereof cut away.
FIG. 2 is a sectional view of a main cup with a part cutaway.
FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, each is a sectional view with a part cut away showing the method of attaching an auxiliary cup onto the main cup.
FIG. 5 is an electric circuit diagrammatically shown.
Referring to the drawings, the apparatus comprises a pair of main cups 1 made of rubber, on the outer surface of which is installed a small motor 2. An eccentric disc 3 is eccentrically mounted at the end of a revolving shaft 2' of the motor, and a revolution control device for the motor is provided at 4. An auxiliary cup 5 removably fits on the inside of the periphery of the main ring 1. One end diameter, DL, of the auxiliary ring 5 is larger than the diameter DI of the main cup 1; and the other end diameter, D8, of the auxiliary ring 5 is smaller than that of the main cup. On the inside surface of the main cup adjacent the periphery thereof is provided a circular inwardly projecting strip 6. Along the periphery of the smaller diameter side of the auxiliary ring 5 there is provided a circular outwardly projecting strip 7. At the larger diameter side thereof there is provided a circular inwardly projecting strip 8. Thus either the large-r or smaller diameter side of the auxiliary ring can removably fit onto the main cup as illustrated in FIG. 3, and FIG. 4. The card 9 is adapted to be connected to a suitable power source. The circuit includes a switch 10, a transformer 12, a Selen rectifier 12 a pilot lamp 13 and a socket 14 for receiving a cord 15 from the vibration body. A tape 16 is provided to adjust the spacing between the two main cups. A sash tape 17 extending from the neck is adapted to support the cups against displacement. 18 is a cover of the motor. A band 19 and a metal buckle 20 is provided to extend about the body of the user. The numeral 21 identifies the breast of the user and the numeral 22 represents an air layer thereover between the breast and the cup 1.
In using this massage apparatus, the cord 9 is connected to an ordinary household AC. power source and the cord 15 is inserted into socket 14. The user will hang the sash tape 17 from her neck, bind band 19 around her bust and so as to house both breasts within the pair of main cups so as to be completely airtight. In this instance, either the larger diametered or smaller diametered side of the auxiliary ring 5 will be selectively applicable to the main cup depending on the size of her breast.
The switch 10 is turned on, pilot lamp 13 is lighted and coincidentally motor 2 rotates which in turn rotates the eccentrically mounted disc 3 thereby generating vibrations.
The vibrations thus generated will be delivered to the breasts through the medium of the air trapped Within the cups since the periphery of the cups 1 closely fits the base of the breasts. Hence, since the impulse imparted to the breasts are effected through the medium of rubber cups or the air layer tightly enclosed therein, the user can enjoy a very soft and comfortable feeling. Further since the vibration capacity can be adjusted by vibration control device 4, the impulse imparted may be controlled to be best suited for each user.
Thus the apparatus provides a soft comfortable impulse in a uniform and constant manner so that it stimulates the deep portion of the mammary gland to accelerate the flow of blood around the base of the breasts and as a result, it induces an increase of ly-mpthatic secretion as well as secretion of hormone which has remained in stagnation whereupon the growth of the breast will be accelerated and enable it to become shaped into a rich dome-like form.
The use of the breast massage apparatus of the present invention is such that for those who have an ordinary size of breasts, the main cups 1 themselves, will be directly applied to the breasts without the auxiliary ring 5. For
those whose breasts are of smaller size, the auxiliary ring 5 is fixed to the main cup 1 as seen in FIG. 4 so that the smaller diameter side of the auxiliary ring may closely fit the base of the breasts. Further, for those whose breasts are of larger size, as seen in FIG. 3, the auxiliary ring is fixed to the main cup in the inverted position from that shown in FIG. 4 so that it will closely fit the base of the breasts whereupon the large breasts will be entirely enclosed within the cup. Thus the breast massage apparatus of the present invention can fit any size breasts.
Folllowing are examples of patients who have been helped by the use of this apparatus. One is a patient aged twenty, who has been suffering from the undergrowth of breasts and whose breasts were of 78 mm. in diameter. Treatments were applied with this apparatus 5 minutes a day and 3 weeks thereafter, her breasts have come to 83.5 mm. in diameter. Another example is a patient aged twenty-five after giving birth whose breasts were undergrown and badly secretive of milk. Treatments with this apparatus were applied for 15 minutes a day. The secretive action has turned better in two days and a remarkable development of her breasts was noted.
