Claims. (Cl. 317-101) The invention relates to a slide-in or fixing frame respectively for mounting plates provided with snap-locking means.
The object of the invention is, to provide a slide-in or fixing frame respectively for mounting plates which can be simply and easily manufactured and from which the mounting plates, provided with a snap-locking device can be easily removed. The mounting plates may also be equipped with printed circuit wafers and can be individually replaced simply and easily.
The invention solves this problem in that the slide-in frame is equipped with corrugated guide rails, and on the mounting plates in a position to the rear of the corrugation, ratch-type fixing springs are provided and set. A pulling device which can be plugged over the fixing plate is equipped with lifting springs which can be inserted in the rear of the holding springs when sliding in and lift them from the ratching position and thus the pulling device permits obtaining a firm connection with the mounting plate. This construction illustrates the advantage of the very great simplicity of the frame and it permits individual mounting plates to be pulled out quickly and safely with the aid of the pulling-out device. According to a further embodiment of the invention the slide-in frame can also accommodate conductor plates or fixing plates, designed as printed circuits and componentequipped wafers.
Another embodiment of the invention provides that the pull-out device is provided with an additional connecting facility, in order to connect the mounting plate with the plugged-on pull-out device. This design and shape of the pull-out device shows the advantage of this invention in that a fixing plate onto which the device has been plugged need not necessarily be pulled off the panel frame, but the pull-out device can be removed without any diificulty. This is advantageous when the pull-out device has been erroneously plugged into a mounting plate.
The accompanying drawing shows an example of the invention, wherein:
FIG. 1 shows a fixing plate in the panel frame with plugged-on pull-out device in side view,
FIGS. 2 and 3 show the same arrangement in sectional views taken along lines 2-2 and 3-3, respectively, of FIG. 1.
The slide-in frame consists of the guide rails 1, 2, with suitable corrugation 3 and interconnected at their ends by transverse rails, not shown on the drawing. The fixing plate 4 is provided at its rearmargin with a terminal strip 5, bearing two fixing springs 6, 7. When the plate 4 is slid into the panel frame the fixing springs 6, 7 engage in rear of the corrugation 3 and keep the plate firmly within the frame. When such a mounting plate is to be pulled off the panel frame the pull-out device 8 is plugged onto the mounting plate. The grooved holding strips 11, 12, equipped with lifting springs 9, 10 encircle the margins of the plate and lift said plate. When the pull-off device has been introduced sufficiently deep into the panelframe the lifting springs 9, 10, nearly rectangular at their ends, slide onto the guide rails 1, 2, as may be gathered from FIG. 1, with the guide rail 2 and the lifting spring 10. When the pull-out device is further inserted into the frame the bent studs 13, 14 of the lifting springs 9, 10 lift the holding springs 6, 7 in rear of the corrugation 3 in such a way as FIG. 1 demonstrates for the lifting spring 13 and the holding spring 7. Elements 7, 9 and 11 at the upper end show the pull-out device 8 in an inserted position and elements 6, 10 and 12 at the lower end show device 8 in an intermediate position with the dashed lines indicating the inserted position.
When the mounting plate 4 is to be pulled off, the connecting spring 15, shown in FIG. 3, is pressed into the recess 17 of the mounting plate '4 by pressing onto the knob 16, and the pull-out device 8 is removed, whereby the mounting plate 4 is removed, too.
If it should happen, however, that the pull-out device was erroneously plugged onto a fixing plate, not intended to be pulled off, said pull-out device can be removed from the panel frame without operation of the push-button 16 whereby the mounting plate will not be pulled out together with the pulling-out device.
While we have described above the principles of our invention in connection with specific apparatus, it is to be clearly understood that this invention is made only by way of example and not as a limitation to the scope of our invention as set forth in the objects thereof and in the accompanying claims.
We claim:
1. A slide-in frame and mounting plate arrangement wherein said slide-in frame comprises first and second guide rails, said guide rails having members for supporting and engaging a mounting plate insertable therein, said mounting plate comprising cooperating members receivable in and engaging said supporting members; and means on said mounting plate to receive and engage a pull-out device, said pull-out device being detachable from said mounting plate and slide-in frame and including first spring means on said pull-out device to release said mounting plate from engagement with said slide-in frame and second spring means on said pull-out device to engage said mounting plate for pulling said plate out of said frame.
2. An arrangement according to claim 1 wherein said guide rail supporting members comprise corrugations and said mounting plate cooperating members comprise ratchet type springs to engage said corrugations.
3. An arrangement according to claim 2 wherein said first spring means on said pull-out device includes lifting springs to release said ratchet type springs from engagement with said corrugations.
4. An arrangement according to claim 1 wherein said mounting plate includes a recess therein and said second spring means to engage said mounting plate includes a spring catch extending from said pull-out device and engageable in said recess whereby said pull-out device maintains a firm connection with said mounting plate.
5. An arrangement according to claim 1 wherein said mounting plate comprises printed circuits and components coupled thereto.

Claims (1)

1. A SLIDE-IN FRAME AND MOUNTING PLATE ARRANGEMENT WHEREIN SAID SLIDE-IN FRAME COMPRISES FIRST AND SECOND GUIDE RAILS, SAID GUIDE RAILS HAVING MEMBERS FOR SUPPORTING AND ENGAGING A MOUNTING PLATE INSERTABLE THEREIN, SAID MOUNTING PLATE COMPRISING COOPERATING MEMBERS RECEIVABLE IN AND ENGAGING SAID SUPPORTING MEMBERS; AND MEANS ON SAID MOUNTING PLATE TO RECEIVE AND ENGAGE A PULL-OUT DEVICE, SAID PULL-OUT DEVICE BEING DETACHABLE FROM SAID MOUNTING PLATE AND SLIDE-IN FRAME AND INCLUDING FIRST SPRING MEANS ON SAID PULL-OUT DEVICE TO RELEASE SAID MOUNTING PLATE FROM ENGAGEMENT WITH SAID SLIDE-IN FRAME AND SECOND SPRING MEANS ON SAID PULL-OUT DEVICE TO ENGAGE SAID MOUNTING PLATE FOR PULLING SAID PLATE OUT OF SAID FRAME.
