(Cl. 206-47) ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention comprises a dual container of box form housing a stack of tissues with disposal bags interleaved therewith and both removable through a single opening in a wall of the container. In addition, the container is provided with suspension means comprising adhesively coated straps at least one of which is hingedly and integrally secured to a wall of the container and the others of Which are separately secured to an outer surface of the container for separation and adherence to a supporting surface and a container wall or a disposal bag.
This invention relates to a combination dual container and suspension means therefor.
The primary object of the invention is the provision of a simple, inexpensive, efiicient, and convenient device of the kind indicated, adapted to contain stacked disposable articles, such as tissues, and collapsible disposal bags adapted to serve as disposal receptacles, for used articles or tissues.
Another object of the invention is the provision of a device of the character indicated above, wherein suspension means, in the form of flexible adhesive suspension straps, are mounted on walls of the container, the straps being coated with pressure sensitive adhesive, and being adapted, for suspension of the container and/ or a bag, to be partially or fully separated therefrom and adhered to a surface of a support.

Referring in detail to the drawings, and first to FIG- URES 1 to 4 thereof, a device therein illustrated comprises a box-like container, preferably of elongated rectangular form, and preferably made of paper-like material. The container 14 has a bottom wall 16, end Walls 18, first and second side walls 20 and 22, respectively, and a top wall 24. The top wall 24 is formed with a preferably rectangular recess opening 26, smaller in area than the top Wall 24, and spaced from the sides thereof, the edge of the opening 26, adjacent to the first side Wall 20 having a closure flap 28 secured thereto, and normally closing the opening 26, in coplanar relation with the top Wall 24.
The second side wall 22 of the container 14 is formed, intermediate its ends, with a vertical slot 30 having an arcuate lower end 32. The slot 30 extends downwardly from the upper end of the side wall 22, with its lower end located adjacent to the lower edge of the wall 2.
The slot 30 is normally closed by a conformally shaped flexible strap 36, which fits the slot 30. The strap 36 is preferably constituted by a pair of reversed plies 40, of paper or similar material, which are suitably secured together, the plies 40 having on their outer surfaces, coatings 42 of pressure sensitive adhesive, which are smaller in area than the strap.
As indicated in FIGURE 1 the container wall 22 may be perforated, as indicated at '39, at opposite sides of the slot 30, so as to define attractive animal shapes or the like, adapted to be separated from the wall. Further, the strap may have a free outstanding finger tab 37, on its lower end.
The container 14 contains a stack of articles, such as tissues T, upon which is laid flexible accordion and expansible supplementary paper bag 48, a number of the bagsbeing adapted to be interdigitated between the tissues. The top wall opening 26 of the main section 14 provides ready access both to the bags 48 and the tissues T.
As shown in FIGURE 5, a bag 48, having been removed from the main container 14, and having been expanded and opened, is adapted to be suspended from -a vertical position, such as a wall W, by means of an adhesive end stnap 38 normally secured to the wall 20 of the container at the ends thereof. A long adhesive strap 41 may be removably secured centrally on the upper part of wall 20, see FIGURE 2 for a similar application.
FIGURE 6 shows the container 14 suspended endwise in a horizontal position, from the wall W, by means of a strap, while FIGURE 7 shows suspension of the container in a vertical position, on the wall W, with its top Wall facing outwardly, and its closure flap 28 in a pendant out wardly angled position, to afford protection of the contents of the section, from such as dust or rain.
FIGURE 8 shows the container 14 and a bag 48 suspended at the opposite sides of the seat 50 of a chair 52. The container 14 is secured in place, by means of its strap 36 coated with adhesive, extended inwardly over the seat 50 and adhered thereto. The bag 48 is secured to its side edge of the seat 50, by means of a tape 38, which is normally secured on the outside of a side wall of container 14, as indicated in FIGURE 3.
FIGURE 9 shows the container 14 suspended, in a horizontal position, by means of the strap 36, to an automobile instrumental panel 54.
FIGURE 10 shows the container 14, engaged with a vertical edge 54 of a table top 56, and secured in place,
as by means of the strap 36, adhered to the upper section of the table 56.
FIGURE 11 shows a bag 48 with its mouth closed and folded on itself, as indicated at 58, and secured closed and folded, by means of a short end tape 38, interposed between the folded portion 58, and an adjacent side wall of the bag.
What is claimed is: 1
1. A device of the character described, comprising a container, and a stack of tissues, and a collapsed disposal bag means, accessibly contained within the container, said container having an opening in one wall through which both tissues and said barn means may be removed.
2. A device of the character described, comprising a container, and a stack of tissues, and a collapsed disposal bag means, accessibly contained within the container, said container is a box, and said bag means comprises bags interdigitatcd between tissues.
3. A device according to claim 2., wherein adhesive suspension means is incorporated in a wall of the container.
4. A device of the character described, comprising a container, and a stack of tissues, and a collapsed disposal bag means, accessibly contained within the container, said container is a box, and said bag means comprises bags positioned between tissues, a wall of the container having separable adhesive suspension means thereon.
5. A device according to claim 3, wherein said adhesive suspension means comprises a flexible strap secured at one end to the container, said strap having pressure sensitive adhesive coatings on its opposite sides.
6. A device according to claim 5, wherein said strap closes a slot in a wall of said container and is integrally connected thereto at one end, the sides of said strap being separably connected to said wall by line portions including spaced perforations.
7. A device according to claim 6, wherein said slot provides visual access to the contents of the container when said strap is lifted away from the container by breaking the line portion connections along said perforations and turning the strap as on a hinge about said connected end.
8. A device according to claim 1, wherein said container is a box, said opening being in a top wall of the box, a closure flap secured to an edge of the opening and normally closing said opening, and suspension means incorporated in a wall of the box other than said top wall.

A device of the character described, comprising a container, and a stack of tissues, and a collapsed disposal bag means, accessibly contained within the container said container is a box, said box having a top wall formed with an opening, and a closure flap secured to the edge of the opening and normally closing said opening, said suspension means being incorporated in a side wall of the box, said container having a bottom wall, a stack of tissues normally resting upon said bottom wall, a collapsed bag resting upon the stack of tissues, and other bags in collapsed condition being engaged between tissues of the stack.

A device of the character described comprising a box container having a top wall, side walls, and end walls, said top wall being formed with a three-sided opening, a closure flap secured at one edge to the top wall and normally closing said opening, the three-sides of the flap being connected by perforations to related sides of the opening, a stack of tissues including a plurality of disposal bags interleaved therewith housed in said box and individually removable through said opening, one of said side walls being formed with a vertical slot extending,
downwardly from the top wall and adapted to expose the contents of the container to view, and an adhesive strap secured at its upper end of the container at the upper end of the slot and normally closing the slot, said strap being removable from the slot to be adhered to a supporting surface.
11. The device of claim 10, wherein a sidewall other than said one wall has container suspending adhesive strap means removably secured thereto, which upon removal is capable of adhering the container and a disposal bag to a supporting surface.

Claims (1)

1. A DEVICE OF THE CHARACTER DESCRIBED, COMPRISING A CONTAINER, AND A STACK OF TISSUES, AND A COLLAPSED DISPOSAL BAG MEANS, ACCESSIBLY CONTAINED WITHIN THE CONTAINER, SAID CONTAINER HAVING AN OPENING IN ONE WALL THROUGH WHICH BOTH TISSUES AND SAID BAM MEANS MAY BE REMOVED.
