INVENTOR.
LORRAINE M LE/TL PULL-DOWN MIRROR This invention relates to mirror devices and more particularly to a pull-down mirror.
It is therefore the primary purpose of this invention to provide a pull-down mirror which may be used in any room of the home, including the bathroom, thus enabling the user to fix the back of their hair while viewing the back of their hair.
Another object of this invention is to provide a mirror of the type described which by having its inherent pull-down feature, may be adjusted to any height and then pushed up out of the way when not in use.
Still another object of this invention is to provide a mirror which will have means for attaching flowers or the like so as to make a decorative appearance as well as having a userful purpose.
Other objects of the present invention are to provide a pull-down mirror which is simple in design, inexpensive to manufacture, rugged in construction, easy to use and efficient in operation.
These and other objects will become readily evident upon a study of the following specification together with the accompanying drawing wherein:
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the present invention shown partly broken away;
FIG. 2 is a top plan view of the mirror portion showing the pull mechanism removed therefrom; and
FIG. 3 is a side view of the invention shown installed in a room.
According to this invention, a pull-down mirror is shown to include an elongated hub portion 11 from which extends radially a plurality of spaced apart rings 12 of rectangular configuration which have a mirror face 13 on each side for viewing into. The hub portion 11 includes also a pair of oppositely opposed eye portions 14 for the attachment of a suitable floral arrangement 14' as shown in FIG. 3 of the drawing.
At the lower extremity of device 10 is a decorative pull handle 15 and at the upper extremity of portion 11 is secured fixedly an eye 16 to which is fastened a cord 17 extending from the pull mechanism 18, the pull mechanism 18 being of conventional structure. Mirror 10 depends downwards from a base plate 19 which is secured fixedly to the ceiling 19'.
In use, mirror 10 is lowered by means of the decorative pull handle 15, to any elevation desired, and when not in use it may be raised by urging it upwards, the pull mechanism 18 thus attracting the cord 17.
It will be noted that when mirror 10 is in use, it may be used in conjunction with another mirror in order to effectively view the back of ones head and it should be suspended from the ceiling 19' of any desired location for the most effective use thereof.
What I claim is:
l. A pull-down mirror comprising:
a central hub,
four double-faced mirror wing portions secured to said hub and extending radially outwardly there from,
said wing portions being angularly disposed at right angles from each other,
eyelets on said hub between each pair of wing portions for supporting floral displays,
and means connected to said hub for suspending said mirror at variable heights from the ceiling.
