This is accomplished by using a diaper which need only be changed when the baby has a bowel movement.
To this end, the diaper has an opening through which the male member extends when the diaper is in place. A soft flexible net extends between the member and the diaper and is secured to the opening to prevent chafing of the member.
A disposable urine absorbent container is detachably secured to the diaper in the region of the opening to receive the net and member and collect urine for subsequent disposal. Each time the baby urinates, the container is removed and replaced, leaving the diaper in place whereby the diaper is only changed after a bowel movement.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS In the drawings:
FIG. 1 shows the invention in use;
FIG. 2 is a plan view of the invention; and FIG. 3 is an enlarged detail view thereof.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT I ber and diaper.
A generally rectangular somewhat elongated disposable container 22 filled with urine absorbent material such as paper tissue 26 is secured at one end to the outside of the diaper adjacent the opening by plastic tabs 16. The container has a hollow region 24 into which net and member extend whereby the container can receive urine and then be removed and replaced as and when required. The container is designed so that the other end remains folded like a paper bag while the container is free of urine.
While the invention has been described with detailed reference to the drawings, the protection sought is to be limited only by the terms of the claims which follow.
I claim:
1. A diaper device for a male baby comprising:
a soft flexible diaper having a central opening in one half portion thereof adjacent the middle which when the diaper is in place receives the male member;
a means for preventing chafing of the male member comprising a soft flexible net extending through the opening, secured to the perimeter of the opening in the diaper and disposed between the male member and the diaper; and
a means for collecting urine for subsequent disposal including an impervious disposable urine container having absorbent material in one end and detachably secured at the other end to the diaper in the region of the opening and located to receive the net and said member.
2. The device of claim 1 further including attachment means on the diaper for detachably securing same to the baby and means for attaching the container to the diaper.
Claims (2)
1. A diaper device for a male baby comprising: A SOFT FLEXIBLE DIAPER HAVING A CENTRAL OPENING IN ONE HALF PORTION THEREOF ADJACENT THE MIDDLE WHICH WHEN THE DIAPER IS IN PLACE RECEIVES THE MALE MEMBER; A MEANS FOR PREVENTING CHAFING OF THE MALE MEMBER COMPRISING A SOFT FLEXIBLE NET EXTENDING THROUGH THE OPENING, SECURED TO THE PERIMETER OF THE OPENING IN THE DIAPER AND DISPOSED BETWEEN THE MALE MEMBER AND THE DIAPER; AND A MEANS FOR COLLECTING URINE FOR SUBSEQUENT DISPOSAL INCLUDING IMPERVIOUS DISPOSABLE URINE CONTAINER HAVING ABSORBENT MATERIAL IN ONE END AND DETACHABLY SECURED AT THE OTHER END TO THE DIAPER IN THE REGION OF THE OPENING AND LOCATED TO RECEIVE THE NET AND SAID MEMBER.
2. The device of claim 1 further including attachment means on the diaper for detachably securing same to the baby and means for attaching the container to the diaper.
