STICKER BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Up to the present, adhesive goods such as adhesive label, adhesive sealing paper and the like have been used for confectionery such as chocolate, candy and the like which were packed in a small box, a bag, ets., however, these stickers have mere indications necessary for respective goods. Thus, the stickers have never been used for the purpose of services for buyers, given by sellers and manufacturers of said goods. For example the stickers have not been used to provide lottery tickets, premium tickets and the like. In most cases, these service tickets are made separately and contained in a packed box together with the confectionery, so that manufacturing and enclosing thereof are troublesome and not advantageous from economical viewpoints.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS In FIG. I and FIG. 2, there is shown an embodiment of stickers according to this invention.
A sticker (A) comprises sheets I made of a proper flexible sheet material, adhesive layers 2 made of pressure sensitive adhesive. The adhesive layer 2 has a first, upper surface in contact with the underside of said sheet. On a second lower surface of said adhesive layer a detachable release paper 3 is temporarily attached. In said sheet I there is provided a parting line 4 to form a clipping la of said sheet by cutting out a part thereof. When the sheet 1 is detached from the release paper 3, the clipping la cut out along the parting line 4 is left on the release paper, thus said sticker (A) may be detached from said clipping in form of an annular piece lb of sheet material. On the back of the detached clipping Ia and the annular piece lb respective adhesive layers 20 and 2b are exposed, so that they may be stuck on different surfaces respectively. Letters or marks related to lot number, quantity, etc. (FIGS. ISA, 153), as well as to name of medicines can be printed on the clipping and correspondingly on the annular piece to prepare stickers for example for the use of a pharmaceutical company. When the company sends the medicines to sales stores. The annular piece 1b is detached from corresponding stickers la in every package of medicines to stick the annular piece on a seal or the like; the clipping 1a thereof can then be stuck on an invoice to send it to a recipient, who is thereby enabled to check name, quantity, etc. by collating the annular piece on the packing with the clipping on the invoice. In this case, since indication pieces divided from one sheet are respectively stuck on the packed medicines and on the invoice, mistake or trouble upon entry would never take place.
In FIG. 3 to FIG. 5, another embodiment of the sticker according to this invention is shown. This sticker (B) is different from said sticker (A) in that the release paper is provided with a parting line. In a release paper 13, in a lower portion of a sheet 11 which is temporarily attached on said release paper by an ad hesive layer 12, at a portion outside of a parting line 14 which is forming a clipping Ila of said sheet, a parting line 15 is provided, by which a piece 13a of the release paper may be cut out. In this sticker (B), when the sheet 11 is detached from the release paper 13, said sheet will temporarily retain the piece 13a on the adhesive layer 12 thereof, while at a portion outside of the piece of release paper which is temporarily retained, an
adhesive layer 120 of a portion of said adhesive layer 12 is obtained in an exposed state, and said layer 12a can be stuck on the seal of a packing box 16 of candy. (Cf. FIG. 15)
The parting line 14 enables that the clipping lla is cut out from said sheet and an annular piece 11b is left on a sealing portion 16a, and a piece 130 of release paper temporarily stuck on the adhesive layer 12 thereof, so that when said clipping 11a is detached, it will leave said annular piece and said piece of release paper on said sealing portion and on its back an adhesive 12!) appears. Such a sticker applicable to a lot of merchandise is shown in FIG. 15A and FIG. 15B. On clipping Ila and annular piece 11b, lot numbers such as those shown at 17, are respectively indicated. Thus boys who bought candy may check winning numbers in publication of lottery results and clippings 113 having winning numbers can then be stuck on a postcard 18 and sent back to the seller to exchange them for some presents.
A sheet 11' of a sticker, which carries a design in such a manner that the surface of a clipping ll'a becomes a badge, is stuck in stead of a label of a bag or a box 16' packing the candy, and boys who bought the candy may stick said clipping on their breast or note book to play (Cf. FIG. 16A and FIG. 16B).
The surface of said clipping may be made a caricature or a landscape picture. These clippings may be stuck on a thick paper such as a cardboard to make a pasteboard dump, and they may be sticked in a collection book for amusement.
In FIG. 6, FIG. 7A and FIG. 78, there is shown another sticker according to this invention. This sticker (C) is the same with the stickers (A) and (B), except in the point that parting lines provided on the release paper under the sheet are lying on both sides of a parting line which forms a clipping of the sheet. In a release paper 23 there are provided a parting line 25 for cutting out a piece 23a of the release paper at a portion corresponding to the outside of a parting line 24 which devides said sheet into a clipping 21a and an annular piece 21b, at a portion under a sheet temporarily stuck on a release paper 23 by an adhesive layer 22, and by a parting line 250 which cuts out an auxiliary piece 23b of the release paper from said release paper piece of a portion corresponding to the inside of said parting line 24. In the same manner with said sticker (B), the sheet 21 of this sticker (C) temporarily sticks the piece 23a of release paper (accompanied by the auxiliary piece 23b of release paper), which is cut out by the parting line 25 provided on the outside of said parting line 24, on the adhesive layer 22 thereof. On the other hand, a part of adhesive layer 22a appears on the outside of said piece 23a of release paper, so that the layer can be attached to packed goods similarly to the case of sticker (B), but in this case, the sheet 21 has the parting line 24 and the piece 23a of release paper provided with a parting line 25b to cut out the auxiliary piece 23b of release paper. Accordingly, when the clipping 21a is detached from this sheet, the auxiliary piece 23b of release paper temporarily sticks to the adhesive laayer 22b of said clipping, and a part 22c of said adhesive layer appears at a portion corresponding to the outside of said temporary sticking auxiliary piece. This clipping, if desired, also the auxiliary piece of ground paper temporarily sticking to the adhesive layer of the clipping, may be used similarly to the clipping of said sticker (B).
When the clipping 21a is detached from the sheet 21 sticking to some goods, said clipping is detached from its adhesive layer 22b with the auxiliary piece 23b, and a hole 26 corresponding to said auxiliary piece occurs in the remaining piece 230 of release paper as well as an inner marginal portion 23'b of an annular piece 23'a of the piece of release paper which is left uncut from said piece of release paper. Therefore, the exposed adhesive layer 22a of said sheet 21 may stick on a marginal portion of an opeining of a container 27 receiving granular cleanser within to cover up the opening of said container. (FIG. 17A and FIG. 17B). When the clipping 2la is detached from this sheet, the clipping is stripped off together with the auxiliary piece 23b to open the hole 26, so that a required quantity of goods may be easily taken out by tilting said container. And, the exposed adhesive layer 22c of the detached clipping may stick on the exposed inner marginal portion 23'b of the piece of release paper, which is remained at the marginal portion of the opening of container, to close the opening easily. Since said inner marginal portion 23b is detachable, no adhesive property is retained after the clipping 21a is stripped off, so that no cleanser is attached to said portion. And, if the cleanser is attached, it may be easily removed by wiping it by cloth or paper, so that the adhesive power of adhesive layer 220 of the clipping is not hindered but the clipping may be used repeatedly.
In the above case, a connecting portion 24a may be provided at a portion of the parting line 24 for cutting out the clipping 21a of the sheet. Said connecting portion serves as a hinge to facilitate the opening and closing of the clipping as well as to prevent the clipping from being lost when it is detached.
Parting lines 35a and 35b which form piece 330 and auxiliary piece 33b of release paper to be provided on a release paper 33 of said stickers (B) and (C) may be provided with a portion thereof at a portion 36 overlapped with a parting line 34 for forming a clipping 31a of a sheet 31 on said release paper (Cf. FIG. 8).
In FIG. 9 to FIG. 11, there is shown a sticker having an elongation continued from a piece of release paper.
COntinued from a piece 53a of release paper cut out by a parting line 55 provided on a release paper 53 of a portion under a sheet 51, extending over the release paper of a portion elongated outside of the sheet 51 as one body with said piece of release paper, a parting line 55a is provided in succession to the parting line 55 to form an elongation 53b of said release paper portion. When this sticker uses the sheet 51, the elongation 53b formed outside of this sheet is picked with fingers and pulled upwardly, thus it may be easily detached from the release paper. And, when this sticker is stuck on something, said elongation 53b is picked, so that the adhesive layer does not adhere to the fingers, thus making the handling easy, accurate and prompt.
In FIG. 12, there is shown a sticker similar to the last one, provided with an elongation 63c extending in succession to an auxiliary piece of release paper.
In succession to an auxiliary piece 63b of release paper to be cut out by a parting line 650 provided on a piece 630 of release paper, extending over a release paper 63 of a portion elongated outside of a sheet 61, a parting line 65b is provided to form an elongation 630 to be cut out as one body with said auxiliary piece 63b of release paper.
As to stickers having elongations to the piece and the auxiliary piece of release paper as mentioned above, a
further variant is shown in FIG. 13 and FIG. 14. In an annular piece 71c surrounded between a peripheral portion 71b outside of a sheet 71 and a parting line 74 dividing a clipping 71a of said sheet, there is provided a dividing line 76 directed approximately to the center of sheet from said peripheral portion 7 lb, at a portion corresponding to the upside of an elongation 73c provided in succession to a piece 730 of release paper. When said clipping 71a is detached, the elongation 73c is picked with fingers and pulled upward, then the annular piece 71c is turned up on both sides from its dividing line 76 and detached from the elongation, and further the clipping 71a cut out by a parting line 74 may be easily detached. When the clipping is detached through the elongation, the annular piece of sheet remained in the sticking portion does not disturb in the least. After the clipping is detached, a turned up end portion 71d of said annular piece may be use for sticking again, if necessary.
Although the invention has been described in several forms of embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to these specific embodiments thereof but various changes may be made in the scope of sprit of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
