STEF KOSANSVIGH, OF OHIQAGO, ILLINOIS, ASSIGIVOR TO JOHN TOMCAL, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent N0. 769,615, dated September 6, 1904.
Application filed March 12, 1904.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known thatI, STEF KOSANSVICH, a subject of the Emperor of Austria-Hungary, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented new and useful Improvements in Bottles, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in bottles or similar vessels, and has for. its object to provide a device of this character composed of a number of sections each of which represents an independent vessel, the different sections being adapted to be joinedtogether as a unit or separated one from the other in affording access to the contents of the diiferent parts.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a vertical longitudinal section embodying the improved features and showing the difierent parts assembled as a unit; and Fig. 2 is a similar view showing the different sections separated, each part becoming an individual receptacle.
A may represent the bottle as a whole, and B, (J, D, and E a plurality of-sections in their order of arrangement from the top receptacle downward. The section B is provided in the interior bottom with a hub 3, extending upward therefrom and closed solidly at the top, but opening outward, forming a recess 4, interiorly screw-threaded, as at a. The next joining-section C is provided with a neck 5, screw-threaded exteriorly and adapted. to engage with the threaded recess 4 in assembling the two parts closely together, as shown in Fig. 1. The section 0 is also provided in the bottom with a threaded recessed hub 6 for the engagement of the correspondingly-threaded neck 7 on next section I). The section D .is provided in the bottom with an enlarged interiorly-threaded recess 8 and the bottom sec- Serial No. 197,749. (No model.)
tion E with a threaded neck 9, adapted to engage the recess 8 in joining the parts together. The sectionE is formed with adeep cavity 1.0,
providing a convenient drinking cup or ves- Having thus described my invention, what I claim is v 1. A bottle or the like comprising'a number of individual sections, one section being provided with a recessed hub and the joining-section having a neck extension adapted to engage said hub in separably joining the parts together.
2. A bottle or the like made up of a number of sections, one section having a threaded hub part and the next joining-section a threaded neck part adapted to detachably engage the hub part in assembling a number of sections in regular order.
3. A bottle or the like comprising a number of sections, one section having a recessed hub and the next joining-section a neck extension capable of engaging the hub-section in detachably securing the parts together, the last or bottom section being hollowed out to provide a drinking-receptacle.
- In testimony whereofI have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
