Beitknown that I, FRANK MILLER, of Indianola,'in the county of Vermillion, und vState of Illinois, have mode certain new and 'useful Improvements in 'Bolt and Rivet-Cutting lMachine; and I hereby declare the following to be a full and exact description of. the same, reference being had to the drawings "that accompany and form a. part Vof these specifications, l 4

-The object of my invention is to provide nu instrument for cutting o bolts, rivets, nails, &c., simple in structure, and one' easily and1 expeditiously operated.

The 'lrdwings will sufficiently show' the manner of constructing m'y machine. The parts A und B are made of wrought iren,cprrovided with steel jaws or cutters, e,` properly tempered for thntpurpose.l

It will be observed that these cutters are flat on the under` side orv surface, so that they will cut perfectly smooth and even at the point required. I

The mode of operating'will'be rendily seen. By raising or throwing back the-lever C, as shown, in iig. 2, the jaws vor cutters areopened to receive the-bolt or rivet. Then, byy drawing the lever C towards you, the bolt is cut smoothly, and es close te the nut as you may desire.- I
