Be it known that I, HERMAN E. HILDE- nnAND, a citizen of the United States, and a` residentof Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in a Cornbined Barette-Holder and Pinch-Cock, which are described in the following specification, taken in connection with the accfnnpanying drawings, and are then pointed out in the claims at the end of the description.

The object of my invention is to provide a pinchcock for a burette that will also serve as a holder for the barette, the'whole equipnient being capable of being held in the hand when in use. so being' dieerent from the ordinary stationary burette stand. In man;7 cases of volumetric analysis such portable barette holder and pinchcock will prove v a great convenience.

In cmbination with a burette and a rubber tube attached thereto, a strip bearing a guide for the burette, a guide for the rubber tube, a hand-piece and a pinchcoek consisting of a spring-actuated, two-armed lever extending parallel with the axis of the burette, one end'oi said lever being adapted to normally press against said rubber tube and the other end of which t'orins a tluunbpiece by pressure on which the pressure against said rubber tube lmay be controlled, substantially as described.

5. A portable burette holder consisting or' a strip bearing' a plurality of guides for the burette, a hand-piece and a pinchcock, substantially as described.
