Abstract

An underwear liner consisting of at least one flat absorbent layer, is perfectly suitable for use by both men and women as part of daily hygiene, or for clinical and related applications. The invention relates to a panty liner, in particular a panty liner consisting of at least one absorbent flat layer.

Panty liners of the type in question have been known in practice for years. Such panty liners are usually also referred to as hygiene liners and are used by numerous women in the context of daily hygiene. In addition, such panty liners are also used in the medical field, for example after abdominal surgery or the like.

However, the panty liners in question are usually tailored so that they can only be used sensibly by female persons. Due to the male physiology, the currently known or commercially available panty liners are not very suitable for men. Increasing hygiene awareness, however, creates a need in this regard.

The invention is therefore based on the object of designing and developing a panty liner of the type in question in such a way that it can also be used by male persons in the context of daily hygiene, but also in clinical use or the like.

The panty liner according to the invention achieves the above object by the features of claim 1. According to this, the panty liner in question is designed in such a way that the flat layer has an approximately circular or elliptical front part and rear part and a front part which connects the front part to the rear part Has to be assigned to the narrower intermediate part. - 2 -

According to the invention, it has been recognized that, in particular when using the pantiliner of male persons, a much narrower intermediate part which is to be assigned to the step is required. The front and rear parts are then again designed with a correspondingly large area, since they have to cover the actual hygiene areas there. Furthermore, the narrower design of the intermediate part avoids a hindrance in the crotch, i.e. a disability when walking.

With regard to the geometric configuration of the panty liner according to the invention, it is particularly advantageous if the layer consisting of the front, intermediate and rear part has approximately the shape of an "8" with a wide central web as the intermediate part. Thus, this is a strongly tailored insert, which - as already mentioned - does not interfere with the crotch, or at least only slightly, or even hinders it.

With regard to the covering or covering of the respective hygiene areas, it is further advantageous if the front and rear parts have surfaces of different sizes. In particular when the pantiliner according to the invention is used by male persons, the front part should have a larger area than the rear part. In other words, the front part should be made large enough so that hygienic safety is guaranteed in any case.

With regard to the structure, it is a further advantage if several flat layers are provided and the layers form a unit as a whole. To obtain this unit, the layers could be pressed together or glued together, at least in the edge area. In order to ensure adequate absorbency on the one hand and impermeability to clothing on the other hand, a total of two layers are advantageously provided. The lower layer consists of a largely water-impermeable material, while the upper layer consists of an absorbent material. This absorbent material is preferably made of cellulose or the like.

In an alternative embodiment, a total of four layers could be provided, the lower layer made of a water-impermeable material, the second layer made of an absorbent material, preferably made of cellulose, and the third layer made of a non-absorbent, preferably nylon-like, water-permeable fabric and the fourth and upper layer can be made of a soft, preferably lattice-like, water-permeable plastic or the like. At this point, however, it should be emphasized that a panty liner according to the invention can have any conceivable structure and has already been implemented, for example, with known panty liners and / or diapers.

So that the panty liner can be securely positioned in the panty or in a pair of underpants, pajamas or the like, the lower ply is particularly advantageously provided with an adhesive strip, the adhesive strip preferably extending in the longitudinal direction to the ply. So that such a panty liner can be stored or stored without problems, the adhesive strip is provided with a removable protective layer which is only removed shortly before use of the panty liner.

The hygienic effect of the panty liner according to the invention can be further improved if at least one of the layers is contaminated or infiltrated with an odor-inhibiting or deodorising and possibly disinfecting agent. It is also conceivable that one of the layers - it will generally be the absorbent layer - is provided with a medicament, for example for the treatment of skin diseases, wound healing, etc.

There are various possibilities for advantageously designing and developing the teaching of the present invention. For this purpose, reference should be made on the one hand to the claims subordinate to patent claim 1, and on the other hand to the following explanation of an exemplary embodiment of the invention with reference to the drawing. A preferred embodiment of the panty liner according to the invention is described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 7.

The finally fourth and upper layer 7, which comes into contact with the body, consists of a soft, preferably grid-like, water-permeable plastic or the like.

In conclusion, it should be pointed out that the teaching according to the invention is in no way limited to the exemplary embodiment described above. Rather, the panty liner according to the invention can be realized in a wide variety of forms and with a very wide variety of structures.
