A container includes: an opening; a lid for closing the opening; and a bellows portion, on which groove-shaped concave portions extending over the circumference of a body portion and convex portions projecting relatively to the concave portions are provided alternately. The container can be shrunk by compressing the bellows portion in a state where the above-described lid is removed from the opening. The container is provided at some part of the concave portions and some part of the convex portions thereof with a deformation-resistant portion for preventing the bellows portion from being deformed at the time other than when compression is required and not preventing the container from being shrunk due to the compression. Due to the presence of the above-described deformation-resistant portion, the decrease in the strength of the body portion due to the formation of the bellows portion is reinforced and the container can be practically used.
