Abstract

A plastic lattice comprising an arbitrary number of cooling elements (1) made of a sealed plastic shell (2) containing a eutectic solution or gel, joined together by X-shaped connectors (7), and arranged to form an open plastic lattice. Free interstices (8) are provided around each cooling element (1) for easy cutting of the device. Plastic straps (9) or the like are inserted through said interstices (8) so that a user can easily enlarge the device by simply linking together groups of cooling elements (1). The lattice is particularly suitable for covering, sheathing or wrapping perishable foods requiring refrigeration.
