Abstract

The present invention provides cis element-reporter constructs for measuring transcription. A series of cis elements are linked to a reporter gene to generate cis-acting reporters. Examples of reporter genes are secreted alkaline phosphatase (SEAP), destabilized green fluorescent protein (d2EGFP) and luciferase. Also provided are various applications of such constructs.
