Abstract

The invented pen consists of the writing instrument (1) (i.e ball-point pen or roller-ball pen or fountain pen or felt tip pen etc). which includes a case of ink or ink cartridge or the fluid of the felt tip pen, which flows from the writing tip (2) on the writing surface, and of the correction tape mechanism (3) with correction tape (10) which is adhered to the writing surface to be corrected using the edge (4).

Description

WRITING INSTRUMENT WITH INTEGRATED CORRECTION

TAPE MECHANISM

The present invention amends the Greek Invention Certificate No. 1003012 with the title "Ball-point pen or marker having an incorporated correction fluid dispenser".

The aforementioned invention introduced during its implementation new research issues which resulted in an effort to search a new design to accommodate anybody who needs to carry a writing instrument (i.e. ball-point pen or roller-ball pen or fountain pen or felt tip pen etc.) as well as a correction tape.

The correction tape mechanism is used indeed in large-scale corrections, while the writing instrument for out of office users needs usually only a small amount of correction material for small-scale corrections. Another technical problem is that after the application of the correction fluid, a certain time is required for it to dry, so that it is possible to rewrite on the same spot.

These problems led to the quest for the aforementioned writing instrument (i.e. ball-point pen or roller-ball pen or fountain pen or felt tip pen etc.) which on the opposite side of the writing tip carries a mechanism with correction tape which as soon as it is adhered to the writing surface, makes it possible to write directly on it.

This invention will be understood to the experts of this present technique with reference to the attached figures that show some indicative preferred industrial applications of the invention where:

Figure 1 depicts an external view of the writing instrument and of the stem with the correction tape mechanism.

Figure 2 depicts an external view of the writing instrument (i.e. balt- point pen or roller-ball pen or fountain pen or felt tip pen etc.).

Figure 3 depicts an external view of the mechanism of the correction tape. Figure 4 depicts a cross section of the stem with a view of the internal correction tape mechanism.

In reference to a selected indicative example of an industrial application of this invention, the main parts of the invented pen are listed below, in reference with the corresponding numbering of these parts in the attached figures which are presented without a specific scale but merely keeping the analogies of the sizes between the various parts.

According to the indicative application of the invention the main parts of the invented pen are the following: 1. Writing instrument (i.e. ball-point pen or roller-ball pen or fountain pen or felt tip pen etc.) in which a case of ink or ink cartridge or the fluid of the felt tip pen is contained. In case that the writing instrument contains an internal spring it will not have a cover, otherwise it will have a cover.

2. Writing tip of the writing instrument that writes the writing surface using the ink from the case of ink or ink cartridge contained in part 1.

3. Part of the invented pen that contains the mechanism with the correction tape, which is adhered to the writing surface to be corrected using the edge 4.

4. Edge of the correction tape mechanism. 5. Cover of the upper part 3 covering the edge 4.

6. A thread in the upper section of part 1 into which part 3 is screwed.

7. An internal thread at the lower section of part 3 on which the thread 6 is screwed.

8. A cylinder that contains the correction tape to be adhered. 9. A cylinder onto which the base part of the correction tape is wound after the correction part of the tape has been adhered to the writing surface to be corrected.

10. Correction tape which departs from cylinder 8 on which it is wound and terminates at edge 4. 1 1 . Base part of the correction tape which after the correction part has been separated, returns and wounds back on cylinder 9. The invented pen can be constructed from any appropriate material in any desired design and dimensions. Part 3 may include a metallic or plastic hook to secure the pen in a pocket.

To assemble part 3 with part 1 any other appropriate mechanism can be used without a thread or part 3 can be permanently connected to part 1.

11 after part 10 has been adhered, can also wind from cylinder 9 towards cylinder 8.

It should be taken into account that the object of this invention is not limited to the aforementioned example. The achievement of this invention is possible with other ways, methods, assemblies and mechanisms included within the scope of this present description.

It should be noted that the present description of the invention has been achieved through reference to some indicative application examples. Thus any amendment or modification in shape, form, dimensions, materials and assemblies is considered to be within the scope and objectives of this description.

Claims

1. A writing instrument (i.e. ball-point pen or roller-ball pen or fountain pen or felt tip pen etc.) with integrated correction tape mechanism, characterized in that it consists of part 1 which includes a case of ink or ink cartridge or the fluid of the felt tip pen, as well as of part 3, into which the correction tape mechanism is contained, which correction tape is adhered to the writing surface to be corrected using the edge 4.

2. A writing instrument according to claim 1 , characterized in that it bears thread 6 in the upper section of part 1 into which part 3 is screwed, which contains the correction tape mechanism and in its lower section it bears thread 7.

A writing instrument with integrated correction tape mechanism according to claim 1 , characterized in that it contains cylinder 8 which contains the adhesive correction tape 10 as well as the basic tape 11 and cylinder 9 on which the basic tape 11 is wound after the adhesion of the correction tape 10 on the writing surface to be corrected. The direction of unwinding of the correction tape and the winding of basic part 11 after part 10 has been adhered, can also wind from cylinder 9 towards cylinder 8.

4. A writing instrument according to claim 1 , with integrated correction tape mechanism made in such a way that it is possible to assemble it in the form of writing instrument, which has an appropriate thread or any other way of connection or assembly.
