Abstract

This invention relates to a new and improved method for inducing or pacing atrial and ventricular arrhythmias in animals. The invention relies on the use of microbubbles and low frequency ultrasound for its pacing activity. The methods and compositions of the invention can be used to pace patients, convert patients out of atrial fibrillation, convert patients with ventricular rhythm disturbances and even as a diagnostic to assess a patients risk for arrhythmias.
