Abstract

The invention concerns a pain-relieving magnetic exposure bracelet (1) comprising a body (2) maintaining it in position on a patient's limb, and permanent magnets (3) whereof part is designed to be urged against a zone to be treated. Said body (2) comprises a plate (5) and two substantially planar bracelet (1) branches (6-7), with on a front surface (8), soft embossments (9) for setting the bracelet (1) in a specific position; the plate comprising a front surface, provided with housings (12) for forced reception of the magnets. The invention is useful for treating syndromes caused in particular by the depletion of the earth's magnetic field.

Description

CURATIVE MAGNETIC EXPOSURE BRACELET

The present invention relates to a bracelet ^{for the} curative exposure of precise areas of the body to magnetic waves. We know that the depletion of the Earth's magnetic field causes syndromes in living things, and in particular in men.

Typically, these syndromes reach:

- sleep, the quality of which becomes insufficient; - mental hygiene, which gives way to disorders such as anxiety or "stress";

- physical well-being, for example during transport;

- weight balance, giving way to obesity or thinness; and

- the will, for example insufficient to stop smoking. It has been observed that magnets and / or other electromagnetic sources can have curative effects, in particular on these syndromes.

More precisely, it is established that a magnet having a magnetic flux of 1000 Gauss at least, has a certain effectiveness from a curative point of view.

Different curative effects can be obtained, depending on the polarity of the exposure, knowing that a magnet has two polarities.

The north or negative polarity shows by medical experience that it has a contracting and dispersing action. While the south or positive polarity, shows by these experiences that it has an analgesic and invigorating action.

When applied to the skin, such a magnet produces waves that penetrate living tissue deep, and act in different ways to treat syndromes due to the weakening of the Earth's magnetic field. Now include documents relating to the technical field ^of electromagnetic exposure curative

Document FR-A-2 683 151 describes a device making it possible to incorporate permanent anisotropic magnets into a non-magnetic support, by isolating them from external aggressions and by retaining a remanent induction.

Document FR-A-2 726 771 describes a device made up of a magnetic body included in an insulating resin, where the magnetic field is directed towards the top of the head to reduce alopecia and fight against hair loss.

Document DE-A-19 80 7464 describes a prophylactic medicine bracelet, incorporating one or more permanent magnets placed near arteries, to combat heart attacks.

Percutaneous treatment devices using electrical stimulation are also known.

Let us cite the document FR-A- 2 775 592, which describes an autonomous portable acupuncture device. It comprises a housing having on its underside at least one stud constituting the terminal of a pulse generator mounted in the housing. Means are provided for putting a removable fixing of the housing on a part of the body of a patient.

Also, there has been described in document FRA 2,513,514, an apparatus comprising a module which has a surface intended to be applied against a wall of the body of the wearer. Conductors whose end parts are immobilized in the module. These parts protrude from the surface applied against the body, in areas which correspond to acupuncture points of a specific therapy.

In document FR-A-2 662 076, an autonomous portable acupuncture device is described. It comprises a housing having on its underside, at least one metal stud. This pad constitutes the output terminal of a pulse generator, mounted in the housing. Means are designed to allow removable attachment of the housing to a part of the patient's body

Note that several of the known techniques use pulse generators, such recourse is perfectly justified for certain cases. But it involves a technicality of the devices and therefore an excessive cost, for other syndromes, for example light

The other techniques mentioned, like the invention, use permanent magnets as an electromagnetic source. However, these techniques do not allow at the same time - a very precise, stable and constant positioning of the electromagnetic sources on corresponding areas of the patient; and - obtain - with the same simple equipment, comfortable to wear and inexpensive - several arrangements of very precise magnetic fields. Indeed, we want to treat several conditions with the same equipment. So, with the same equipment, we want to fight against weight, stress, anxiety, phobia, spasmophilia, stage fright. We also want to improve memory, fight against smoking, impotence, frigidity, nausea, vomiting, motion sickness.

To this end, an object of the invention is a curative magnetic exposure bracelet, comprising a body for holding in position on the limb of a patient, and at least three, at most nine, permanent magnets, one projecting part of which of the body, is intended to come against an area to be treated of the patient's limb.

According to one characteristic, the body comprises a plate and two branches of bracelet, substantially planar.

Each branch has on a front face, gentle reliefs for placing the bracelet in a precise position chosen on the patient.

The plate is placed within the bracelet in a fixed relative position relative to the branches. It has an anterior face, provided with nine housings inscribed in an octagon. One of the so-called central dwellings is located at the barycenter of this octagon. Each accommodation is provided ^with an opening at the front side, of smaller section than the rest of said housing base, in the plane of this face.

Each magnet has a base and a head, of dimensions substantially complementary to that of the housings. Thus, at least three magnets are respectively forcefully introduced into each of a predetermined housing, the latter now holding the corresponding magnet in a precise position on the bracelet, and therefore in relation to the patient.

According to one embodiment, the bracelet holding body is a single piece, integrally formed with the plate, its receiving housings, and the arms, for example by injection molding of a flexible synthetic material such as polyurethane or silicone or latex.

According to another embodiment, at least one of -every all of the receiving housings formed integrally with the plate, have in the plane of the front face, a generally circular section, and transversely, a bottom of larger diameter than that of the opening opening, for example this bottom and the opening are connected by a circular bevel.

According to yet another embodiment, the octagon drawn by the eight peripheral reception housings is included in:

- A rhombus whose largest dimension is longitudinal and for example of the order of 30 mm, its dimension perpendicular to the longitudinal being for example of the order of 21 mm; and

- A rectangle whose largest side is longitudinal and for example of the order of 19 mm, its other side perpendicular, having for example a dimension of the order of 17 mm.

According to one embodiment, one of the branches of the so-called inner retaining body has a hooking loop or stud, for example a protruding stud riveted in metal. While the other so-called external branch has a tightening hole for a stud or loop, for example coming from material with the outer branch and / or forming a mask for this stud or loop.

According to one embodiment, on the anterior face of at least one branch, the gentle reliefs for placing the bracelet in a precise position chosen on the patient, are in the form of linear transverse slots projecting from this anterior face, for example each so-called interior and exterior branch has 3 to 7, and in particular 5 to 6 transverse slots of a thickness measured from this face, of the order of 1 mm. According to one embodiment, at least one, or even each, magnet has a magnetic flux of the order of 1500 Gauss at least.

In one embodiment, the bracelet comprises at least five magnets inserted in respective receiving housings, with their projecting north poles on the anterior face, which generate a magnetic field treating several acupuncture points simultaneously.

One embodiment provides that the bracelet comprises on a rear face, a message or an inscription, for example in concave relief formed integrally with at least one branch and / or the plate.

The description which follows and relates to the appended drawings makes it possible to understand the invention, as put into practice by way of example.

Figure 1 is a bottom view of an anterior face of the magnetic exposure bracelet, according to an embodiment of the invention.

The invention is now described, with reference to three general directions. The longitudinal direction corresponds to the main dimension, which is vertical in Figure 1.

We call transverse, a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, which forms with the latter a plane corresponding to the general plane merged with the sheet in Figure 1.

The third direction, perpendicular to the general plane is called thickness.

We see in the figures, a bracelet 1 of curative magnetic exposure.

This bracelet 1 has a body 2. The body 2 holds the bracelet

1 in position on the limb of a patient, here his wrist. It goes without saying that the bracelet 1 according to the invention can be worn by a patient in another place, for example around his ankle. It is also possible to envisage the use of curative magnetic bracelets according to the invention, for example for familiar or farm animals.

At least three permanent magnets 3 are provided on the bracelet 1. On each magnet 3 in position, a part 4 protrudes from the body 2. This part 4, called "head", is intended to come against an area to be treated of the limb of the patient. The polarity of this part 4, is according to the syndromes to be treated, north or south. For more information and examples on this question of arrangement and polarity, see document FR-A-2 775 592 already mentioned above.

As can be seen in FIG. 1, the bracelet 1 comprises, depending on the case, from three to nine magnets 3. We see in this same figure that the body

2 comprises a plate 5 and two bracelet branches 1, substantially flat, and designated at 6 and 7. The branch 6 is said to be external (the most distant from the patient), and the branch 7 is said to be internal (the most against the skin of the patient). Each branch 6 and 7 has an anterior face 8. Soft reliefs 9 for placing the bracelet (1) in a precise position, chosen on the patient, are provided on the face 8 of each branch 6 and 7.

It is understood that these reliefs 9 are both sufficiently "soft", that is to say slightly salient and therefore injurious, to be pleasant against the patient's skin. But also that these reliefs 9 are sufficiently marked to precisely maintain the bracelet 1 in position, when (1) is worn by the patient.

In fact, the invention makes it possible to provide treatment for a specific area of the patient, whatever their activity: the patient can wear bracelet 1 without experiencing any discomfort, or fear that he will place himself in an ineffective position , even if he exercises a physical activity, for example sports.

In addition, since the bracelet 1 is very flat (here of the order of 5 to 6 mm at most, and of the order of 2 to 3 mm on the branches 6 and 7), it is not troublesome to wear during the day, or at night when you sleep.

Its discreet dimensions allow it to be worn under a long-sleeved garment, and to hide it, if it is felt to be necessary by the patient. However, the structure of bracelet 1 also allows it to present aesthetic characteristics.

In the same vein, note that the embodiment of Figure 1 provides that the bracelet 1 has on a rear face 10, a message or an inscription 11.

In this example, the inscription 11 is in concave relief and formed integrally with the branch 6. However, inscriptions 11 are provided on one and / or the other of the branches 6 or 7 and / or on the plate. 5. It is expected in embodiments that the inscription 11 is obtained by screen printing.

This plate 5 is here arranged longitudinally between the branches 6 and 7. It (5) is also disposed within the bracelet 1, in a fixed relative position relative to the branches 6 and 7. Therefore, the positioning precise branches 6 and 7, automatically causes the stable placement of the plate 5.

However, the plate 5 comprises on the front face 8, nine housings 12 for receiving magnets 3. These housings 12 are inscribed in an octagon. One of the housings 12A, said to be central, is placed at the barycenter of this octagon.

According to the embodiment illustrated in Figures 1 and '3, the octagon is externally drawn by the eight receiving housings 12 peripherals, and is inscribed in: - a rhombus whose largest dimension 13 is longitudinal and here of the order of 30 mm, its dimension perpendicular 14 to the longitudinal, here being of the order of 21 mm; and - a rectangle whose largest side 15 is longitudinal and here of the order of 19 mm, its other side 16 perpendicular, having here a dimension of the order of 17 mm.

Such an arrangement of the housings 12 of the plate 5, makes it possible, from the same bracelet 1, to obtain various combinations of implantation of magnets 3, each intended for the treatment of one or more particular syndromes. These arrangements may require three to nine magnets 3, each inserted into an appropriate housing 12.

It appears from FIGS. 1, 2 and 5 that the branch of the retaining body 2, and more precisely its so-called inner branch 7, has at least one hooking loop or stud 17. This is a projecting pin riveted in metal. The other branch 6, called the outer branch, comprises at least one clamping orifice 18 for the stud or loop 17. Here, the orifice 18 has come integrally with the outer branch and forms a mask for this stud or buckle 17.

In this embodiment, the bracelet 1 comprises, respectively on a branch 6 or 7, two pins 17 and two holes 18, aligned longitudinally. Referring now to Figure 4, we see that each housing 12, is provided with an opening 19 opening to the front face 8, of smaller section than the rest 20 of the housing said bottom, in the plane of this face 8 Similarly, each magnet 3 has a base 21 and a head 4, of dimensions substantially complementary to that of the housings 12.

Thus, the magnets 3 are respectively forcefully introduced into each of a predetermined housing 12, the latter now holding the corresponding magnet 3, in a precise position on the bracelet 1, and therefore in relation to the patient.

This arrangement of the invention makes the bracelet 1 modular, in that it allows the fastening of magnets 3 quickly and easily, without the addition of material (such as glue which can alter the diffusion of magnetism) and reversible.

It appears from Figures 1 and 2 in particular that the holding body 2 of the bracelet 1 is a single piece. This part has come here integrally with the plate 5, its receiving housings 12, and the branches 6-7. It comes here from injection molding of a flexible synthetic material such as polyurethane, or silicone or latex. This makes it possible to obtain a bracelet 1 which is light, comfortable to wear and solid. In addition, this method of manufacturing the body 2 promotes reduced cost prices for large series.

With this embodiment, all the receiving housings 12 formed integrally with the plate, have in the plane of the front face 8, a generally circular section, and transversely, a bottom 20 of larger diameter than that of the through opening 19 Here, the bottom 20 and the opening 19 are connected by a circular bevel 22.

Still in this implementation, on the front face 8 of the branches 6 and 7, the soft reliefs 9 for placement, are in the form of linear transverse slots projecting from this front face 8. Here, each so-called inner 7 and outer 6 branch has three to seven, and in particular five to six transverse slots 9, of a thickness measured from this face 8, of the order of 1 mm.

According to this embodiment, at least one, or even each, magnet 3 has a magnetic flux of the order of at least 1500 Gauss.

In one embodiment, the bracelet 1 comprises at least five magnets 3 inserted in respective receiving housings 12, with their north poles projecting from the front face. These magnets 3 thus generate a magnetic field treating several acupuncture points simultaneously. On the other hand, in the constructions comprising less than five magnets

3, each acts mainly on a specific acupuncture point.

The invention therefore allows numerous arrangements of the magnets, from the same holding body 2. This authorizes treatment of various syndromes such as: - sleep disorders;

- mood disorders such as anxiety or "stress";

- motion sickness;

- overweight.

Claims

1. Bracelet (1) for curative magnetic exposure, comprising a body (2) for holding in position on the limb of a patient, and at least three, at most nine, permanent magnets (3) including a part (4) protruding from the body, is intended to come against an area to be treated of the patient's limb; characterized in that the body (2) comprises a plate (5) and two branches (6-7) of bracelet (1), substantially planar; each branch (6-7) has on a front face (8), reliefs (9) for placing the bracelet (1) in a precise position chosen on the patient; the plate (5) is disposed within the bracelet (1) in a fixed relative position relative to the branches (6-7); it has an anterior face (8), provided with nine housings (12) inscribed in an octagon; one of the so-called central housings (12A), being placed at the barycenter of this octagon, each housing (12) being provided with an opening (19) opening onto the anterior face, of smaller section than the rest of the said housing bottom (20), in the plane of this face; and each magnet (3) has a base (21) and a head (4), of dimensions substantially complementary to that of the housings (12);

Thus, at least three magnets (3) are respectively forcefully introduced into each of a predetermined housing (12), the latter (12) now holding the corresponding magnet (3) in a precise position on the bracelet (1), and therefore by report to the patient.
