Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Knöchelschutz, der aus einer bandförmigen Packung (14) besteht, die im Längsquerschnitt im wesentlichen U-förmig ausgebildet ist und den Fussumfang im Knöchelbereich im wesentlichen überdeckend ausgebildet ist. Zum Verschliessen des offenen Abschnitts der U-förmigen Packung ist eine Verschlusseinrichtung (18) vorgesehen. Durch diese Ausbildung ist ein besonders einfaches Anlegen des Knöchelschutzes gewährleistet. Die Packung (14) besteht aus einem zum Fuss (12) weisenden Innenteil (20) und einem vom Fuss (12) wegweisenden Aussenteil (22), die aus einem strapazierfähigen Material bestehen und an ihren Aussenumfangskanten fest miteinander verbunden sind. Zwischen dem Innenteil (20) und dem Aussenteil (22) ist ein Schaumstoffpolster (24) angeordnet. Im Seitenfussbereich (26) des nach aussen weisenden Knöchels ist zwischen dem Aussenteil (22) und dem Schaumstoffpolster (24) ein Schutzelement (30) aus einem halbstarren Material mit elastischen Eigenschaften gebildet, wobei das Schutzelement (30) kleiner als das Schaumstoffpolster (24) ist. Durch diese Anordnung wird sichergestellt, dass der gesamte Seitenfussbereich in Knöchelhöhe mit Bändern und Sprunggelenk wirksam vor Verletzungen geschützt werden.

Description

Knöchelschutz
Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Knöchelschutz gemäß dem Patentanspruch 1.
Aus der EP 0 682 960 AI ist ein Knöchelschutz bekannt, der eine elastische Socke aus einem Textilmaterial umfaßt, die drei Öffnungen aufweist, wobei eine erste Öffnung für den Beinbereich des Fußes vorgesehen ist, wobei eine zweite Öffnung für den Zehenbereich des Fußes vorgesehen ist und wobei eine dritte Öffnung für den Fersenbereich des Fußes vorgesehen ist. Am Knöchel ist an der Innenseite der elastischen Socke ein nußschalenfb'rmiges Schutzelement befestigt, dessen Hohlraum mit Schaumstoffkügelchen ausgepolstert ist. Zum Halten der Schaumstoffkügelchen in dem Hohlraum des Schutzelementes ist zwischen dem Fuß und dem Schutzelement ein Gitter aus einem Textilwerkstoff vorhanden. Nachteilig bei dieser Ausführungsform ist, daß nur der Knöchel direkt, nicht aber die Umgebung desselben, wie Bänder und Sprunggelenk geschützt sind. Femer kann es bei schräg aufitreffenden Stößen zu Verletzungen kommen, wenn die Randbereiche des aus einem starren Material bestehenden Schutzelementes direkt auf den Fuß wirken.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, einen Knöchelschutz zu schaffen, der bei einfacher Handhabbarkeit ein großes Maß an Sicherheit gegenüber Stößen bzw. Tritten im Knöchelbereich bietet.
Diese Aufgabe wird durch die im Patentanspruch 1 angegebenen Merkmale gelöst.
Der erfindungsgemäße Knöchelschutz besteht aus einer bandförmigen Packung, die im Längsquerschnitt im wesentlichen U - förmig ausgebildet ist und den Fußumfang im Knöchelbereich im wesentlichen überdeckend ausgebildet ist. Zum Verschließen des offenen Abschnitts der U - förmigen Packung ist eine Verschlußeinrichtung vorgesehen. Durch diese Ausbildung ist ein besonders einfaches Anlegen des Knöchelschutzes gewährleistet. Die Packung besteht aus einem zum Fuß weisenden Innenteil und einem vom Fuß wegweisenden Außenteil, die aus einem strapazierfähigen Bekleidungsmaterial bestehen und an ihren Außenumfangskanten fest miteinander verbunden sind. Zwischen dem Innenteil und dem Außenteil ist ein Schaumstoffpolster angeordnet. Im Seitenfußbereich des nach außen weisenden Knöchels zwischen dem Außenteil und dem Schaumstoffpolster ist ein Schutzelement aus einem halbstarren Material mit elastischen Eigenschaften gebildet, wobei das Schutzelement kleiner als das Schaumstoffpolster ist. Durch diese Anordnung wird sichergestellt, daß ein Teil der kinetischen Energie der Stöße bzw. Tritte von dem Schutzelement aufgenommen wird. Die Stoßbelastung, die mit einer kleinen Fläche aufgebracht wird, wird somit auf eine vergleichsweise große Fläche übertragen und durch das Schaumstoffpolster weiter gedämpft. Somit wird der gesamte Seitenfußbereich in Knöchelhöhe mit Bändern und Sprunggelenk wirksam geschützt.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind in den Unteransprüchen angegeben.

Die Figuren 1 und 9 zeigen eine Vorderansicht und eine Seitenansicht eines Knöchelschutzes 10, der an einen Fuß 12 angelegt ist. Der Knöchelschutz 10 umfaßt eine bandförmige Packung 14, die im Längsquerschnitt im wesentlichen U - förmig ausgebildet ist (siehe insbesondere Fig. 5).
Die Packung 14 überdeckt den Fußumfang im Knöchelbereich nahezu vollständig (Fig. 1 und 5). Ein offener Abschnitt 16 der Packung 14 ist mittels einer Verschlußeinrichtung 18 am Fuß 12 verschließbar. Die Verschlußeinrichtung 18 ist in dieser Ausführungsform ein Klettverschluß. In einer modifizierten Ausführungsform ist die Verschlußeinrichtung 18 als Gürtelverschluß ausgebildet. Wie aus Fig. 5 zu entnehmen ist, wird die Packung 14 aus einem zum Fuß 12 weisenden Innenteil 20 und einem vom Fuß 12 wegweisenden Außenteil 22 gebildet. Das Material für den Innenteil 20 und den Außenteil 22 ist bevorzugterweise strapazierfähig und wetterfest. Das Material für den Innenteil 20 ist bevorzugterweise hautverträglich, um die Norraussetzung zu schaffen, daß der Knöchelschutz 10 direkt am Fuß 12 angelegt werden kann. Als Material für den Innenteil 20 und den Außenteil 22 eignen sich z. B. Leder, Kunstleder, ein Νylongewebe, wie es z. B für Reisetaschen verwendet wird oder PTFE.
Der Innenteil 20 und der Außenteil 22 sind an ihren Außenumfangskanten fest miteinander verbunden. In der vorliegenden Ausführungsform sind die Außenumfangskanten des Innenteils 20 und des Außenteils 22 miteinander vernäht. In einer modifizierten Ausführungsform sind die Außenumfangskanten des Innenteils 20 und des Außenteils 22- miteinander verklebt.
Zwischen dem Innenteil 20 und dem Außenteil 22 ist ein Schaumstoffpolster 24 angeordnet, das so dimensioniert ist, daß es den gesamten Seitenfußbereich 26 in Knöchelhöhe überdeckt. Das Schaumstoffpolster 24 besteht aus einem elastischen schwammartigen Material, wie z. B. aus geschäumten Polyvinylchlorid, Polystyrol, Polyäthylen oder Polyurethan.
In der in Fig. 5 gezeigten Ausführungsform ist der Innenteil 20 und der Außenteil 22 im Fersenbereich 28 direkt miteinander fest verbunden, z. B. vernäht oder verklebt, so daß ein Schaumstoffpolster 24 für den Innenknöchel und ein Schaumstoffpolster 24 für den Außenknöchel vorgesehen ist. In einer modifizierten Außenf hrungsform kann auch das Schaumstoffpolster 24 durchgehend, den Fersenbereich 28 umgebend, angeordnet sein. Zur Erhöhung des Tragekomforts des Knöchelschutzes 10 ist das Schaumstoffpolster 24 im Fersenbereich 28 in der modifizierten Ausführungsform dünner ausgebildet als in den Seitenfußbereichen 26.
In den Seitenfußbereichen 26 sind zwischen dem Außenteil 22 und dem Schaumstoffpolster 24 jeweils Schutzelemente 30 vorgesehen. Die Schutzelemente 30 sind in ihren Längen- und Breitenausdehnungen kleiner dimensioniert als die Schaumstoffpolster 24 (siehe Fig. 3).
Das Schutzelement 30 ist aus einem halbstarren Material mit elastischen Eigenschaften, wie z. B. Polypropylen, Polyvinylchlorid, Polystyrol, Polyethen, Polypropen, Polybuten, Polymethylpenten, Kohlefaserwerkstoffen oder aus Kombinationen dieser Materialien hergestellt.
In einer Modifikation der beschriebenen Ausführungsform ist nur im Bereich des nach außen weisenden Knöchels ein Schutzelement 30 vorgesehen.
Wie in den Fig. 3 und 4 gezeigt ist, ist die Kombination zwischen dem Schaumstoffpolster 24 und dem Schutzelement 30 gewölbt ausgeführt. Diese Wölbung wird entweder so gebildet, daß das Schaumstoffpolster 24 und das Schutzelement 30 miteinander verklebt werden und solange gewölbt gehalten werden, bis der Kleber ausgehärtet ist. Eine andere Möglichkeit der Bildung der Wölbung besteht darin, daß das Schutzelement 30 thermisch in die gewünschte Form gebracht wird und das Schaumstoffpolster 24 dann auf das gewölbte Schutzelement 30 geklebt wird. Wie in den Fig. 8 und 9 gezeigt ist, erstreckt sich im wesentlichen senkrecht zur Längsrichtung der Packung 14 ein Halteband 32, das sich vom außenliegenden Knöchelbereich der Packung 14 zum innenliegenden Knöchelbereich der Packung 14 erstreckt. Das Halteband 32 ist bevorzugterweise aus einem elastischen Material, z. B. einem Gummiband, hergestellt.
Wie in Fig. 6 gezeigt ist, ist in einer modifizierten Ausftihrungsform der Knöchelschutz 10 mit einem Schuh 34 verbunden.
Fig. 2A zeigt den Zuschnitt des Innenteils 20 und des Außenteils 22 für die Packung 14.
Der Innenteil 20 bzw. der Außenteil 22 haben bevorzugterweise folgende
Abmessungen:
1A1 : 270mm, 1A2: 60 mm, 1A3: 80 mm und 1A4: 90,5 mm. Wie aus Fig. 2A ersichtlich ist, nimmt die Breite beginnend von 1A2 allmählich bis zu einem Scheitelpunkt 1A4 zu, und nimmt von dort allmählich bis zur Breite 1A3 ab.
Diese Abmessungen entsprechen einer Normalgröße eines Fußes und können entsprechend den tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten sowohl kleiner als auch größer sein.
Die Länge 1B1 des in Fig. 2B gezeigten Schaumstoffpolsters 24 beträgt bevorzugterweise 90 mm. Die Breite ist an die Abmessungen des Innenteils 20 bzw. Außenteils 22 angepaßt. Die Dicke beträgt ca. 10 mm.
In Fig. 2C beträgt die Länge 1C1 des Schutzelementes 30 60 mm und die Breite 1C2 40 mm. Die Dicke des Schutzelementes 30 beträgt bevorzugterweise 1 mm bis 2 mm.
In einer anderen nicht gezeigten Ausführungsform sind das Innenteil 20 und das Außenteil 22 für den linken Seitenfußbereich 26 und den rechten Seitenfußbereich 26 jeweils getrennt ausgebildet und sind durch ein Verbindungsteil im Fersenbereich 28 miteinander verbunden. Bevorzugterweise ist das Verbindungsteil aus einem elastischen Material, wie z. B. einem Gummiband ausgebildet. Auch kann das Verbindungsteil mit einem Schaumstoffpolsterelement, analog dem Schaumstoffpolster 24, ausgepolstert sein.
Das Anlegen des Knöchelschutzes 10 wird nachstehend erläutert.
In einer ersten Variante legt der Fußballspieler zunächst seine Schienbeinschoner an. Danach legt der Spieler den Knöchelschutz 10 an, indem er im geöffneten Zustand des Knöchelschutzes 10 das Halteband 32 an der Fußsohle anlegt und den Fußumfang mit der U - förmigen Packung 14 umschließt. Nachfolgend wird der Verschlußeinrichtung 18 geschlossen, so daß der Knöchelschutz 10 den Fußumfang im Knöchelbereich im wesentlichen umschließt. Anschließend zieht der Fußballspieler seine Strümpfe und darauffolgend seine Schuhe 34 an.
In einer zweiten Variante legt der Fußballspieler zuerst seine Schienbeinschoner an. Danach zieht der Fußballspieler seine Strümpfe an. Wie in der ersten Variante wird dann der Knöchelschutz 10 angelegt. Anschließend zieht der Fußballspieler seine Schuhe 34 an (Fig. 7). Außer den in der Beschreibungseinleitung genannten Vorteilen ergeben sich folgende Vorteile. Durch den Aufbau gemäß der Ausführungsfonii hat der Knöchelschutz 10 ein geringes Gewicht. Durch das einfache und unkomplizierte Anlegen des Knöchelschutzes 10 ist eine Anwendung auch bei Kindern, Jugendlichen und Heranwachsenden gegeben. Der Fußballspieler, der den Knöchelschutz 10 verwendet, hat ein erhöhtes Sicherheitsgefühl was mit besserem Spielverhalten einhergeht. Der Knöchelschutz 10 hat ein geringes Gewicht und ist kostengünstig herstellbar. Ferner wirkt der Knöchelschutz 10 sich nicht nachteilig beim Fußballspielen aus.
Fig. 10 zeigt den Schuh 34, der mit dem Knöchelschutz 10 über eine Befestigungseinrichtung 40 verbunden. Die Befestigungseinrichtung 40 kann lösbar sein, und zum Beispiel als Druckknopf ausgebildet sein, oder fest sein, und zum Beispiel ein Niet sein, der den Knöchelschutz 10 unlösbar mit dem Schuh 34 verbindet.
Die Fig. 11 und 12 zeigen eine Kombination des Knöchelschutzes 10 mit einem Schienbeinschoner 42.
Fig. 11 zeigt den Schienbeinschoner 42, der an seinem zum Fuß 12 weisenden Bereich über ein Reißverschluß 44 lösbar mit dem Knöchelschutz 10 verbunden ist.
Fig. 12 zeigt den Schienbeinschoner 42, der an seinem zum Fuß 12 weisenden Bereich über einen Schienbeinschoner - Klettverschluß 46 lösbar mit dem Knöchelschutz 10 verbunden ist.
Das Anlegen des Knöchelschutzes 10 gemäß der Ausfuhrungsformen der Fig. 11 und 12 erfolgt wie oben beschrieben, außer daß zusätzlich noch die Verbindung zwischen dem Schienbeinschoner 42 und dem Knöchelschutz 10 geschlossen wird.
In einer nicht gezeigten Ausführungsform ist der Knöchelschutz mit dem Schienbeinschoner 42 einstückig ausgebildet.
Mischformen zwischen den Ausführungsformen und deren Modifikationen sind möglich.

Claims

Patentansprüche
1. Knöchelschutz, gekennzeichnet durch:
eine bandförmige Packung (14), die im Längsquerschnitt im wesentlichen U - förmig ausgebildet ist und den Fußumfang im Knöchelbereich im wesentlichen vollständig überdeckend ausgebildet ist, und
eine Verschlußeinrichtung (18) zum Verschließen des offenen Abschnitts (16) der U - förmigen Packung (14),
wobei die Packung (14) aus einem zum Fuß (12) weisenden Innenteil (20) und einem vom Fuß (12) wegweisenden Außenteil (22) gebildet wird, die aus einem strapazierfähigen Bekleidungsmaterial bestehen und an ihren Außenumfangskanten fest miteinander verbunden sind,
wobei zwischen dem Innenteil (20) und dem Außenteil (22) ein Schaumstoffpolster (24) angeordnet ist, und
wobei im Seitenfußbereich (26) des nach außen weisenden Knöchels zwischen dem Außenteil (22) und dem Schaumstoffpolster (24) ein Schutzelement (30) aus einem halbstarren Material mit elastischen Eigenschaften angeordnet ist, wobei das Schutzelement (30) kleiner als das Schaumstoffpolster (24) ist.
2. Knöchelschutz nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im Fersenbereich (28) des Fußes (12) der Innenteil (20) und der Außenteil (22) ohne Zwischenlage eines Schaumstoffpolsters (24) direkt miteinander verbunden sind.
3. Knöchelschutz nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Innenteil (20) und der Außenteil (22) von der Endkante jeweils bis zum Knöchelbereich in der Breite allmählich zunimmt und vom Knöchelbereich bis zum Fersenbereich (28) in der Breite allmählich abnimmt (Fig. 2A).
4. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im Seitenfußbereich des nach innen weisenden Knöchels zwischen dem Außenteil (22) und dem Schaumstoffpolster (24) ein Schutzelement (30) aus einem halbstarren Material mit elastischen Eigenschaften angeordnet ist, wobei das Schutzelement (30) kleiner als das Schaumstoffpolster (24) ist.

Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich vom nach außen weisenden Knöchelbereich der Packung (14) zum nach innen weisenden Knöchelbereich der Packung (14) und im wesentlichen senkrecht zur Längsrichtung der U - förmigen Packung (14) ein Halteband (32) erstreckt.
6. Knöchelschutz nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Halteband (32) aus einem elastischen Material besteht.
7. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Verschlußeinrichtung (18) ein Klettverschluß ist.
8. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Verschlußeinrichtung (18) ein Gürtelverschluß ist.
9. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Knöchelschutz (10) mit einem Schuh (34) verbunden ist.
10. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Innenteil (20) und der Außenteil (22) der Packung (14) aus Leder, Kunstleder, Nylongewebe oder PTFE bestehen.
11. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Schaumstoffpolster (24) aus einem geschäumten Polyvinylchlorid, Polystyrol, Polyäthylen oder Polyurethan besteht.
12. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Schutzelement (30) gewölbt ausgebildet istH
13. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 12, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Schutzelement (30) aus Polypropylen, Polyvinylchlorid, Polystyrol, Polyethen, Polypropen, Polybuten, Polymethylpenten oder Kohlefaserwerkstoffen oder Kombinationen dieser Werkstoffe besteht.
14. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Knöchelschutz (10) mittels eines Nietes oder mehreren Nieten mit dem Schuh (34) verbunden ist.
15. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Knöchelschutz (10) mittels eines Druckknopfes oder mehreren Druckknöpfen mit dem Schuh (34) verbunden ist.
16. Knöchelschutz nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Knöchelschutz (10) mit einem Schienbeinschoner (42) verbunden ist.
17. Knöchelschutz nach Anspruch 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Knöchelschutz (10) mit dem Schienbeinschoner (42) mittels eines Reißverschlusses (44) verbunden ist.
18. Knöchelschutz nach Anspruch 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Knöchelschutz 10) mit dem Schienbeinschoner (42) mittels eines Schienbeinschoner - Klettverschlusses (46) verbunden ist.
