Abstract

The invention relates to a transport container (1) for packing and transporting deep-frozen food, especially ice-cream. At least one second container (3), which can be closed with said lid (4), is also provided. The containers (2, 3) are interconnected by said lid (4).

Description

Transport containers for packaging and transporting food

The invention relates to a transport container for packaging and transporting frozen foods, in particular ice cream, with the generic features of claim 1.

The known transport containers for packaging and transporting food have a container which generally has a rectangular or circular base. An outwardly bent edge is formed on the container and can be introduced into a groove formed in a cover of the transport container in order to close the transport container with the cover. The transport container can be made from a plastic, in particular from foamed polystyrene. To ensure that the consumer receives an unopened original product, the lid is connected to the container by a seal. The seal consists of an adhesive strip that freezes a perforation. To open the transport container, the seal must be divided by pressing in the perforation, as a result of which the lid can be lifted off the container.

The size of the known transport container is generally chosen so that the contents can not be completely consumed with a single removal. The transport container must therefore allow the storage of the portion of the food not removed at least for a certain period of time.

The known transport container has the disadvantage that the packaging can be damaged when opening and removing ice, as a result of which the quality of the food remaining in the packaging deteriorates during further storage. For example, the corners of the lid, which are part of the peripheral edge of the lid, tear slightly so that the Lid only partially closes the container. In addition, the removal of solid, especially frozen foods such as ice cream, since then a higher force is required, the peripheral edge of the container break, or the bottom of the container can be damaged if, for. B. a knife is used to cut the food. On the one hand, the damaged container can penetrate odors, germs, pathogens and the like. On the other hand, the food can flow out of the container, so that storage is no longer possible. This disadvantage arises particularly in the case of frozen foods, since it is e.g. B. in the known transport containers with a capacity of 1000 ml can take up to an hour until the core of the food is thawed. Therefore, portioning out is also difficult with the known transport container, since the thawing of the ice core takes too long.

In addition, after a portion of the food is removed, ice crystals form on the re-frozen food, thereby deteriorating the appearance and taste of the stored food.

In the case of a transport container with a filling volume which only holds a portion of the food, there is the disadvantage that a large number of transport containers is required for transporting a large amount of food, which makes transport more difficult. Another disadvantage is that the sale of ice cream in small quantities is uneconomical.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a transport container for packaging and transporting food of a quantity which comprises several portions, in which the removal of a part of the food is facilitated and the storage of the remaining part is improved. The object is achieved by a transport container with the features of claim 1, by a transport container with the features of claim 14 and by a transport container with the features of claim 17.

The transport container according to claim 1 or 14 has the advantage that the amount of food is divided into at least two containers, which shortens the thawing time. In addition, only one of the containers can be opened at a time, so that the quality of the food is preserved during further storage.

The measures specified in subclaims 2 to 13 make advantageous developments of the invention specified in claim 1 possible.

The lid is advantageously divided into a plurality of partial lids, each of which closes one of the containers. It is particularly advantageous that the partial covers can be separated from one another. As a result, a separate partial lid is provided for each container, wherein at least one container can be separated from the other containers by separating the partial lid. In the case of frozen foods in particular, therefore, only one of the containers has to be removed from the refrigerator compartment of the household refrigerator, the others remaining in the refrigerator compartment. As a result, the separated container can be thawed without the quality of the food remaining in the freezer compartment being impaired. In addition, there is no need to reset the other containers.

It is advantageous that the cover has at least one perforation on which the partial covers are connected to one another, and that the separation takes place at the perforation. This makes it easier to separate the partial covers.

It is advantageous that the transport container has a packaging belt which encloses the container. As a result, the transport container has a uniform Appearance, the stability of the transport container is improved and there is also a larger area available for displaying the food packaged in the transport container.

It is also advantageous that the packaging tape consists of paper and / or cardboard. As a result, the packaging tape can be produced inexpensively, and it can also be printed well.

It is advantageous that the lid has two closure sides facing away from one another and that a container can be attached to each of the closure sides. This results in a compact transport container which has a small surface area via which heat is released to the surroundings, the containers being able to be made flat, which simplifies thawing. For this purpose, it is advantageous that the first container is arranged opposite the second container with respect to the cover in the transport state.

It is advantageous that the cover has a first cover half with which the first container can be closed, a second cover half with which the second container can be closed and has a removable connecting element by means of which the cover halves are connected to one another. As a result, the transport container can be divided into separate containers, each of which can be closed with a lid half, which simplifies both the transport of the transport container and the removal of the food. It also simplifies storage in a refrigerator compartment of a home cooling device.

The connecting element is advantageously arranged circumferentially on the lid edge of the lid. It is particularly advantageous that the connecting element is a perforated tear-off tape. As a result, the connecting element can easily be removed in order to separate the two containers from one another. It is advantageous that the cover has a plurality of guide rails into which the containers can be inserted. As a result, the containers can be pushed out of the lid individually, the pushing out being necessary only as far as food is removed from the guide rails.

Advantageously, at least one container is additionally closed with a removable protective film. As a result, the quality of the enclosed food is preserved even better.

Advantageous developments of the transport container specified in claim 14 are possible through the measures listed in subclaims 15 and 16.

It is advantageous that the containers are in thermal contact with one another to reduce the heat emission. As a result, the amount of heat given off can be reduced, so that the quality of the food is better maintained during transport.

The measures listed in subclaims 18 to 24 make advantageous developments of the transport container specified in claim 17 possible.

It is advantageous that the cover has a peripheral edge, that the peripheral edge comprises a first edge run into which the first container can be snapped, and a second edge run into which the second container can be snapped. As a result, the lid can be used to close the two containers together, even if the containers in the areas in which they interact with the lid have different geometry, in particular in the case of essentially circular geometries of different diameters.

The first edge run and / or the second edge run is advantageously provided by a projection that is at least partially circumferential on the peripheral edge. The projection can engage in a groove formed on the first or second container, engage behind an edge bead in order to achieve a snap-in action, or similarly prevent the lid from being released unintentionally.

It is advantageous that the area that the first edge run spans is larger than the area that the second edge run spans. As a result, the edge runs can be formed in different areas of the cover. In a transport state, in which the first container is closed by the lid and the second container is closed by the closure means from the container bottom of the first container, the transport container advantageously has a packaging tape which encloses the containers. Fig. 1 shows a sectional view of a first embodiment of an inventive

Transport container 1. The transport container 1 is used for packaging and transporting food, in particular frozen foods such as ice cream. However, the transport container 1 according to the invention is also suitable for other applications.

The transport container 1 has a first container 2 and a second container 3, which can be closed by means of a common cover 4. The cover 4 has a first partial cover 5, which closes the first container 2, and a second partial cover 6, which closes the second container 3. The cover 4 has a perforation 7 on which the partial covers 5, 6 are connected to one another. The perforation 7 makes it easier to separate the partial covers 5, 6 by breaking the cover 4 on the perforations 7. In order to improve the stability of the transport container 1 and to prevent separation of the containers 2, 3 by inadvertent separation of the partial lids 5, 6, the containers 2, 3 are enclosed by a packaging tape 8, partly on the first container 2 and partly abuts the second container 3 circumferentially in sections. As a result, in particular on the outside of the longitudinal side 9 of the packaging belt 8, a larger representation can be shown to represent the food packaged in the transport container, as a result of which the transport container contains an attractive presentation.

The first container 2 has a container base 10 and two side walls 11, 12 connected to it, which are inclined to one another. The sections 14, 15 are connected to a circumferential edge 16, which fits into a circumferential groove 17 of the first partial cover 5. The peripheral edge 23 of the first partial cover 5 has a bent-back edge run 18, which causes the sections 14, 15 of the side walls 11, 12 to snap into the peripheral groove 17 of the first partial cover 5. A first protective film 32 is therefore provided, which closes the first container 2. After the cover 4 has been removed from the first container 2, the protective film 32 can be removed, thereby making it possible to remove the food from the first container 2. By means of the first protective film 32, the first container 2 can also be stored without the lid 4, without the quality of the food filled into the first container 2 being impaired. Correspondingly, the second step-shaped section 73 of the cover 4 has a second edge run 77, which is formed by a further projection 78. The second edge run 77 serves to snap the second container 3 onto its peripheral edge 16 '. For this purpose, the peripheral edge 16 'of the second container 3 is formed corresponding to the peripheral edge 16 of the first container 2 by twisting it twice in the side surface 11' of the second container 3. In FIG. 7, however, the second container 3 is closed by means of the second container 2. The second container 2 has a container base 10 on which a circumferential shoulder 80 is provided. In order to reset the edge run 82, which is formed on the container bottom 10 of the first container 2, with respect to the first edge run 76 of the cover 4, the side wall 11 of the first container 2 has a shoulder 84 and a conical region 85. The edge run 82, in particular the protrusion 81 formed on the circumferential shoulder 80 of the container bottom 10 of the first container 2, forms a closure means for closing the second container 3. Therefore, only a lid 4 is required to close the two containers 2, 3, since the lid 4 closes the first container 2 and the second container 3 is closed by the first container 2.

FIG. 8 shows the transport container 1 shown in FIG. 7, in which a packaging belt 8 running around the two transport containers 2, 3 and the cover 4 is additionally provided. The packaging tape 8 runs around the lid 4, at least substantially against the top 93 of the lid 4 and around the container bottom 90 of the second container 3, whereby it lies at least essentially in the edge region 92 of the container bottom 90 of the second container 3. In the seventh exemplary embodiment of the transport container 1 described with reference to FIGS. 7 to 9, the second container 3 interacts with the edge run 77 of the cover 4 or with the edge run 82 of the circumferential shoulder 80 of the container base 10, which has a smaller diameter than that is the first edge run 76, with which the first container 2 interacts to close the first container 2.
