Abstract

The invention is applied in a data processing system which have a processor and a memory. This memory may be a flash memory (2A, 2B) being erasable in memory units before being rewrittable. This flash memory comprises designated data with at least one memory unit address, and corresponding update data. This flash memory also comprises an updating code cooperating with designated data for erasing the memory unit having said address, and writing the corresponding update data in this memory unit.
