Abstract

L'invention concerne un ensemble endoscopique (40) à utiliser avec un ensemble de détection (70) externe au patient, afin d'identifier l'emplacement d'un accessoire endoscopique (55) dans le corps du patient, ou de mesurer la distance entre deux points à l'intérieur du corps du patient. Dans un mode de réalisation particulier, l'ensemble endoscopique (40) comporte un tube d'introduction (44), un système d'imagerie visuelle 849), un accessoire endoscopique (55) et un dispositif de localisation de position (66). Le tube d'introduction peut être introduit dans le corps du patient, et comporte un canal opérateur (57) situé le long d'au moins une partie du corps. Le système d'imagerie visuelle est couplé au tube d'introduction et permet à l'utilisateur de visualiser une partie interne du corps du patient. L'accessoire endoscopique peut être positionné dans le canal opérateur et déplacé à l'intérieur de celui-ci dans une position dans laquelle une extrémité distale de l'accessoire endoscopique est adjacente ou externe à l'extrémité distale du canal opérateur (60). Le dispositif de localisation de position est relié à l'accessoire endoscopique et peut être localisé par l'ensemble de détection lorsque l'accessoire est placé dans le corps du patient. Le dispositif de localisation de position peut ainsi identifier, de manière non visuelle, l'emplacement de l'accessoire endoscopique dans le corps du patient.
