An advertisement agent 6 inserts the recognition information as assigned from the advertisement application system 2 at time of disclosing the specific information of the advertiser 4 on the mass media 8, and then an applicant 10 reads the disclosed specific information and recognizes the recognition information contained therein. As the applicant 10 recognizes the recognition information inserted in the specific information on the mass media 8, attentiveness and awareness of contents regarding the specific information are improved due to the recognition information, and the applicant 10 may apply to the advertisement application system 2 by means of the recognition information.
A plurality of applicants 10 are officially registered by submitting personal particulars, and perform application for a lottery respectively with the use of recognition information obtained via the plurality of mass media 8. Then, the advertisement application system 2 operates a predetermined self-lottery engine and draws the lottery for the recognition information.
Here, the advertisement application system 2 draws the lottery when the plurality of applicants 10 apply for the lottery with the use of the recognition information, by operating the predetermined lottery engine, and sends winning prize money to winning applicants by using the money which is submitted by the advertiser 4 for assigning the recognition information. In the mean time, a predetermined percentage of total prize money is given to an advertiser 4 of a drawn advertisement having the recognition information and also to an advertisement agent 6 possessing the mass media 8 disclosing the specific information as a commission for the advertisement.
To speed up a cycle of drawing the lottery for the recognition information as well as to strengthen the number of recognition times of the specific information, the advertisement application system 2 limits an application period for the recognition information to a predetermined period such as three days, and updates a lotto number given to one specific information every predetermined period.
In the meantime, the advertiser 4 includes a manufacturing company, a circulating company, a marketing company and the like, for various kinds of goods. And, the advertiser 4 also includes a manufacturing company, a planning company, and a circulating company, for articles or broadcasting program provided to newspaper, magazine, TV or Internet.
The specific information includes all kinds of advertisement information for various kinds of tangible/intangible products, includes all kinds of advertisement information for articles such as a news report, journal, novel, fiction or nonfiction and the like, and includes all kinds of advertisement information for multimedia information program such as a documentary film, drama, movie, news, sports and the like.
The recognition program provided from the advertisement application system 2 inserts a number over four ciphers into the specific information displayed on the mass media 8, as a lottery number called a lotto number, and includes a mark called an identification logo of indicating that the lotto number is given to a corresponding specific information.
Here, although the lotto number making the recognition information is comprised of a number over four ciphers, the lotto number may be a fortune character comprised of Hangul consonant/vowel or alphabet.
Figs. 2a to 2c illustrate public applications of lotto number via the mass media in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 2a, if predetermined specific information is displayed on a newspaper or magazine as advertisement information for a manufactured product, an identification logo Ml indicated as "Φ" is positioned on left upper end of the advertisement part of the product, where the advertisement part means a full-page advertisement or a partial-page advertisement of the newspaper. In the vicinity of the identification logo Ml, number information of informing how many lotto numbers are given to one advertisement topic is also positioned. A plurality of lotto numbers FN1, FN2 and FN3 comprised of a number over four ciphers are positioned to a predetermined position of the newspaper in order to allow a newspaper subscriber to easily recognize a product name or product image. The position of the lotto number can be freely changed according to a desired position of an advertiser entrusting an advertisement of his or her product advertisement to the advertisement application system 2 of Fig. 1.
Also, if an advertisement of a predetermined product is displayed on Internet web-page as a banner advertisement as shown in Fig. 2b, an identification logo M3 and a number information N3 of informing the number of the lotto number information are given on left upper end of a banner advertisement 12 positioned on a predetermined position of web-page, a lotto number FN4 is placed on a predetermined position of the banner advertisement 12. In addition, a dot-shaped emphasis point PI can be indicated oh a center word of a corresponding product advertisement such as "SAMSUNG CHERVILLE" , so as to ensure more recognition of the product advertisement.
If an advertisement of a predetermined product, functioned as specific information, is embodied as CF (Commercial Film) advertisement of TV broadcasting, an identification logo M4 and a number information N4 are given on left upper end of TV screen as shown in Fig. 2c, an emphasis point P2 is given on a center word of a corresponding product advertisement, and a lotto number FN5 is also placed on a position at which a product recognition of a consumer can be easily made.
In the meantime, recognition information including the identification logo, the number information and the lotto number can be displayed on a newspaper, Internet Website, or TV screen, as well as on a large-sized electric sign and a pamphlet (or brochure) used for various events.
In addition, the recognition information can be widely applied to a TV drama program, a movie program, sports program, and news program.
For example, in case of displaying the recognition information on TV drama or movie program, if many lotto numbers over 10 to 20 are given to each scene or each time of a corresponding drama or movie, a TV viewer prolongs a corresponding program viewing time in order to obtain many lotto numbers, thereby directly raising an audience rating of the program. Of course, a fee for a corresponding recognition information should be paid by a broadcasting company, a production company, a distribution company, and a circulating company, and the fee for corresponding recognition information can be used as a winning prize money for a TV viewer's application using a lotto number.
If the recognition information is assigned to a sports game program of TV broadcast, a lotto number is respectively assigned to both teams or both athletes playing a game, and a lotto number assigned to a winner between them is used as an effective lotto number in case of a TV viewer's application. Accordingly, the TV viewer prolongs a viewing time of a corresponding sports program, thereby directly raising an audience rating of the program. The cost for assigning the corresponding recognition information should be paid by a broadcasting company of the sports program, a sports team, or a management company of the athlete, and the cost for corresponding recognition information can be used as the winning prize money for a TV viewer's application using a lotto number.
Besides, if the recognition information is assigned to a newscast program, a lotto number is assigned to a news report content of corresponding news in order to enhance a public attention or a concentration degree of a TV viewer about the program, and the TV viewer makes an application using the lotto number. In this case, the cost for assigning the recognition information should be paid by a broadcasting company of the newscast program, or a subject (e.g., a manufactured company or public institution) of the news content.
In the meantime, the advertisement application system 2 receives a predetermined cost (e.g., 500,000 won per one day) for assigning recognition information to specific information of an advertiser 4. The application service of the advertisement application system 2 can be administered by the predetermined cost of 500,000 won considered as a relative low price, because many advertisers generally prefer to advertise specific information on more mass media. For example, if 50 advertisers 4 want to advertise specific information on 10 newspapers or magazines and commands the advertisement application system 2 to assign recognition information on each specific information, the total amount collected as the cost for assigning the recognition information would be 250,000,000 won (i.e., 500,000 won x 50 x 10). Also, assuming that the specific information including the recognition information is advertised on 10 newspaper or magazines for three days, the total amount would be 750, 000, 000 won.
If the large amount of money is collected as the above, the advertisement application system 2 spends money of 20% of the total amount for administering an application service, and distributes the remaining money of 80% to an applicant 10, an advertiser 4 and an advertisement agent 6 according to a predetermined distribution rate. For instance, as for the remaining money of 80%, assuming that the money of 70% is distributed to the applicant 10, the money of 10% is distributed to a corresponding advertiser 4 possessing a corresponding specific information including a lotto number won in the lottery, and the money of 20% is distributed to a corresponding advertisement agent 6, only one lotto number is selected as a lucky number after receiving an application action of many applicants 10, and the winning prize money will be distributed to three ones. That is, among the money of 80% (i.e., 600,000,000 won) of 750,000,000 won, the money of 70% (i.e., 420,000,000 won) is given to the applicant, the money of 10% (i.e., 60,000,000 won) is given to the advertiser, and the money of 20% (i.e., 120,000,000 won) is given to the advertisement agent .
As described above, the applicant can receive a large income as a cost for enhancing his/her recognition degree on specific information, and the advertisement agent such as a newspaper company can earn a large amount of money without directly receiving the cost of assigning specific information from the advertiser 4.
The advertisement application system 2 can freely adjust the number of winners among all the total applicants, and can be also freely adjust a distribution ratio of the winning prize money.
If the same advertiser 4 assigns the same specific information to a plurality of advertisement agents 6, a different lotto number is given to every specific information displayed on each mass media 8. Accordingly, the applicant 10 can make an application using a different lotto number in regard of specific information having the same content .
As shown in Fig. 1, in order for the applicant's application using recognition information in the advertisement application system 2, a membership sign-up process is needed. In case of a membership sign-up process, the applicant 10 inputs his/her particulars including basic personal information, interests, and environment, etc. Accordingly, based on the registered information of a corresponding member, the advertisement application system 2 can reliably research a recognition degree and an interest degree of specific information displayed on the mass media 8. Fig. 3 is a conceptional diagram of a promotion system for consumer's recognizing rate of specific information in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to Fig. 3, since a plurality of applicant computers Al~An embed a private web-browser program and a network access program as well as a modem or LAN card, an applicant who obtains a recognition information (i.e., an identification logo and a lotto number) included in specific information displayed on various kinds of mass media such as a newspaper, magazine, Internet web-page, and TV can make an application using the recognition information via the Internet.
A plurality of advertiser systems Bl~Bn request a DB analysis server 22 to assign a recognition information about specific information such as various kinds of products, a news or a broadcast program. The DB analysis server 22 obtains access to an operating system of each mass media of displaying each specific information, and provides each mass media with a different recognition information having a lotto number comprised of a number of four ciphers .
The DB analysis server 22 informs a DB server 24 of a lotto number included in recognition information of the specific information given to each advertiser system. The DB server 24 stores the lotto number of each recognition information in a database DB1.
A web server 20 constructs a private web-site for making an application of the recognition information through the applicant's computers Al~An. Prior to an application action of the applicant using the computer Al or An, the applicant should sign up for membership in the web-site.
The web server 20 receives member's particulars input by the applicant's computer Al~An via Internet network, and outputs them to the DB server 24. The DB server 24 fabricates the member's particulars as a database format, and stores the member's particulars in the database DB1.
Here, the member's particulars are comprised of a user ID, a password, private personal information, and additional information needed to effectively prepare a consumer data analysis about specific information.
As stated above, under the condition that the particulars of many registered members are stored in the database DB1, the web server 20 is requested to investigate or analyze a recognition degree of many members about specific information, from a predetermined advertiser system among many advertiser systems Bl~Bn, a public institution or an organ of expression and the like. In general, they may want to know a consumer's recognition degree about their product/or program according to various kinds of categories, for example, age, sex, occupation, income, and interest that are collected when users sign up for the web service. At this time, the web server 20 makes a research report on the basis of the application result of many applicants and the registered member information, and provides the result report manufactured as a marketing research report to a client.
Furthermore, the web server 20 can differently manufacture a local advertisement or a customized advertisement by referring to the member information, according to age, sex, occupation, income and interest. Recognition information can be assigned to the local advertisement and the customized advertisement.
The web server 20 includes a lottery engine for drawing a predetermined lotto number among many lotto numbers of predetermined recognition information applied by a plurality of applicant's computers Al~An. As to an applicant having a lotto number drawn as a lucky number by the lottery engine, E-mail message informing the fact is transmitted to a computer of the applicant, or a corresponding web-site announces the applicant determined as a winner on its own web page.
The web server 20 is connected to a financial settlement server 26 via a financial service network such as VAN, and receives the cost paid for assigning recognition information from many advertiser systems Bl~Bn. If one applicant among many applicants is drawn by the lottery engine, the web server 20 settles accounts for awarding a winning prize money to the applicant, a corresponding advertiser system, and a corresponding advertisement agent by means of the financial settlement server 26.
The database DB1 stores the advertiser information of many advertiser systems Bl~Bn, the advertisement agent information possessing various kinds of mass media on which various specific information requested by each advertiser is displayed, and the information related to the advertisement period of the specific information.
As shown in Fig. 4, a web-site constructed for the web server 20 includes a main frame page 30 comprised of a sign-up link index 32 for member registration, a log-in link index 34 using a user ID and password, and a public notification page 36 including contents needed to administer/use a corresponding web-site.
In the main frame page 30, the sing-up link index 32 is linked to the membership agreement page 38 of informing a mutual agreement needed to administer/user the web-site. If a user agrees to the mutual agreement, the user enters a membership information input page 40.
The membership information input page 40 includes a registration item for setting a user ID and password, a basic information input item for setting a personal information of each member, and additional information item for setting various kinds of information such as an interest, a personal physique, a preferential mass media, the number of shopping times, and a preferential shopping area and the like.
If the membership information input page 40 is completed, the user enters a receive account number input page 42. On the account number input page, a winner applicant is determined as the result of application action of many applicants using the lotto numbers, so that the user can input his/her account number for receiving the winning prize money.
If the user ID and password are input on the main frame page 30, the log-in link index 34 enters a log-in page 44. The log-in link index includes a number application page 46 for a user's application using a recognition information, a lotto number acquisition page 48, a local advertisement page 50 for viewing a local advertisement and acquiring the recognition information, a site advertisement page 52 for advertising another web- sites providing another contents service, and a prize winning confirmation page 54 for informing many users of the result of lottery.
The number application page 46 of the log-in page 44 is linked to a lotto number input page 58 for allowing a user to input his/her lotto number of recognition information obtained from each mass media. If the lotto number is input on the number application page 46, an application confirmation page 60 produces the last application number by combining the lotto number with personal information of a corresponding member, so that the user can view the last application number on the application confirmation page 60.
In the meantime, as shown in Figs. 5a to 5d, the lotto number input page 58 and the application confirmation page 60 perform an input step of a lotto number and an application step using the last application number .
If inputting the lotto number is made on the lotto number input page 58, a question data shown in FIG. 5a for investigating additional ' member information is transmitted to the applicant's computer via the Internet. A user' s answering data about the question data is stored in the database DB1 every member, and can be utilized as a research and analysis data.
Then, after the answering data about the question data is transmitted to the web server, a web-page for requesting the input action of a lotto number comprised of the number collection over four ciphers is displayed as shown in Fig. 5b.
In addition, if an input data of a lotto number is received from the applicant's computer on the lotto number input page 58, the web-page is converted to another question page shown in Fig. 5c for questioning an advertiser possessing specific information such as a product advertisement on which recognition information for the input lotto number is given.
In the meantime, if the user selects a correct answer of accurately informing a correct advertiser who receives a corresponding lotto number, the application confirmation page 60 shown in Fig. 5d is displayed so that a residence registration number of the applicant is combined with a lotto number of the applicant, thereby completing the last application number.
Referring again to Fig. 4, if many advertiser systems Bl~Bn want to advertise specific information such as various products, news, or a broadcast program, the lotto number acquisition page 48 of the log-in page 44 displays a web advertisement including recognition information given by a DB analysis server 22, thereby an advertisement page 62 includes the list of many web advertisements .
The advertisement page 62 is linked to an advertisement content opening page 64 for opening various contents of the advertisements. The contents of advertisement may be a kind of various products, price, quality information, news information, or preview information of a broadcast program. If a predetermined list is selected among many web advertisement lists, a detailed content of the selected web advertisement on the advertisement content opening page 64 is loaded on the applicant's computer so that a user can view it on his computer monitor.
If viewing the detailed content of the web advertisement is made on the advertisement content opening page 64, a lotto number page 66 is displayed so that a lotto number given on a web advertisement serving as the specific information is visibly displayed on the applicant's computer. Accordingly, the applicant who operates the computer can make an application on the number application page 46 by using the lotto number.
If a user log-in step is made on the local advertisement page 50 of the log-in page 44 since the applicant member inputs his/her ID and password by using a keyboard, a corresponding member information stored in the database DB1 is displayed so that a local advertisement proper to the corresponding member information is selected among many web advertisements stored in the database DB1 and then the list of the selected advertisements is displayed.
If a target area of the advertisement is a residence area of a corresponding member, the local advertisement means a regional advertisement for advertising a store positioned within the target area.
The local advertisement page 68 is linked to the local advertisement content opening page 70 for opening the detailed content of the local advertisement. If a predetermined list item is selected among many local advertisement lists displayed on the local advertisement page 68, the local advertisement content opening page 70 transmits a detailed content data of a local advertisement in response to the selected list item to a computer of a corresponding applicant.
If a user views the local advertisement content opening page 70, the lotto number assigned to a corresponding local advertisement is visibly displayed on the local lotto number page 72.
In the meantime, according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the lotto number input page 58 and the application confirmation page 60 can be effectively operated by using a local advertisement and a customized advertisement, as shown in Figs. 6a to 6c.
If a lotto number assigned to specific information is input from a predetermined applicant as shown in Fig. 6a, a question data web-page for questioning a correct advertiser possessing the specific information having the lotto number is displayed as shown in Fig. 6b. If a correct answering is determined as a predetermined advertiser (e.g., Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd) indicated as an item (a) on Fig. 6b. The web server 20 analyzes member information of a corresponding applicant member by using the database DB1, a local advertisement (e.g., Chinese Restaurant) related to a residence area of the corresponding member is employed as a wrong answer like (b) , and a particular advertiser selected based on a member information of a corresponding applicant is employed as a customized advertisement (c) serving as a wrong answer.
As to the correct answering (a) , the local advertisement (b) and the customized advertisement (c) , additional information regarding each advertiser is added to each advertisement. Accordingly, it is possible to allow the applicant to recognize the advertisement about even wrong answer advertisement.
Here, the local advertisement (b) and the customized advertisement (c) previously set the number of target members. If the number of target members is satisfied, a current advertisement is automatically changed to another local advertisement and another customized advertisement. The number of target members for the advertisements (b) and (c) is predetermined by an advertisement fee of advertiser. For instance, assuming that* the advertiser of each advertisement (b) or (c) pays 40,000 won in total since an advertisement viewing cost of one member is set to 20 won, 2000 members can view each advertisement. In the meantime, if a correct answering data about the question of Fig. 6b is received, the application confirmation page 60 produces the last application number by combining a user ID with a lotto number as shown in Fig. 6c. Referring again to Fig. 4, the site advertisement page 52 of the log-in page 44 is linked to web-site link information page 74 of displaying the list of many websites engaged to the web server 20. The web-site list inside the web-site link information page 74 is connected to many web-sites via site link information 76 of the advertisement object. If a predetermined list item is selected by a computer of the applicant, a corresponding web-site is activated to make a user view an inherent additional information as well as various web contents information. If the user is connected to a predetermined website selected by the web-site link information page 74 and views a web contents and a web advertisement of the selected web-site, the applicant can obtain a lotto number included in an advertisement content on the lotto number page 78.
The prize winning confirmation page 54 of the login page 44 displays the drawing result of a lottery engine included in the web server 20, where the drawing result is produced from the last application number of a plurality of applicants. The prize winning confirmation page 54 is linked to a prize winning content display page 80.
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention as shown in Figs. 6a and 6b, the last application number is comprised of a combination between a residence registration number and a lotto number, or is comprised of a combination between a user ID and a lotto number, so that a member is difficult to freely change an initial application number. But, according to another embodiment of the present invention, when an applicant makes an application for a prize winning by using a lotto number shown in Fig. 7a, the applicant can directly input a desired lotto number comprised of a number over eight ciphers on a web-page of Fig. 7a. As shown in Fig. 7a, if the applicant or user manually inputs the last application number, the last application number shown in Fig. 7b is displayed.
That is, according to another embodiment shown in
Figs. 7a and 7b, a lotto number obtained from specific information displayed on a predetermined mass media is employed as a keyword for inputting the last application number called a lotto number.
Operations of the aforementioned first embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to Figs. 8a and 8b. Many advertiser systems Bl~Bn display various specific information such as an advertisement, news, and a broadcast program on a mass media by using an advertisement agent. The DB analysis server 22 assigns recognition information (i.e., an identification logo and a lotto number) to the specific information. Accordingly, many applicants can recognize (S10) the recognition information assigned to the specific information.
If the applicant who recognizes the recognition information accesses a web-site constructed by the web server 20 via the Internet network, the web server 20 let each applicant perform a sign-up for membership in order for the application using the recognition information. The web server 20 receives member information from the applicant in the sign-up step for membership, and approves (Sll) a user ID and a password after receiving member information from the applicant.
If a sign-up for membership of the applicant is performed in the step Sll, the web server 20 approves
(S12) a user log-in on the basis of account information of a corresponding member when the applicant registered as a member attempts to log-in by using the applicant's computer Al~An. It is determined that an application action using a lotto number included in recognition information is performed or not (S13) . If the applicant makes an application action using the lotto number obtained from specific information displayed on a mass media in the step S13, the web server 20 transmits (S14) question information such as Fig. 5a to the applicant, where the question information is used to measure a recognition degree- of the applicant or to research registration information of the applicant. If the answering data for the question is received from the applicant's computer, the web server 20 allows (S15) an input action of a lotto number (e.g., Fig. 5b or Fig. 6a) obtained from the specific information. If the predetermined lotto number is input, the web server 20 searches the database DB1 storing many information, selects an advertiser of specific information where the lotto number is assigned, generates a question data such as Fig. 5b or Fig. 6b for questioning the advertiser, and transmits (S16) the question data to the applicant's computer. Then, the web server 20 determines (S17) whether a correct answer of the question is input from a corresponding applicant.
If the correct answer is input from the applicant in the step S17, the web server 20 transmits specific information of a corresponding advertiser to a computer of a corresponding applicant so that the applicant can view (S18) the specific information once more. Then, the last application number (e.g.,' Fig. 5d or Fig. 6c) is set (S19) based on member information stored in the database DB1.
The last application number is comprised of a combination between a residence registration number and a lotto number of the applicant member, as shown in Fig. 5d. Otherwise, as shown in Fig. 6c, the last application number is comprised of a combination between a user ID and a lotto number.
In addition, as shown in Figs. 7a and 7b, the applicant can directly input a desired lotto number comprised of a number over four ciphers .
The web server 20 determines (S20) whether a corresponding applicant wants to make an application once more by using another lotto number. If the applicant wants to make an application again in the step S20, the steps S15 to S19 are repeatedly performed. If the applicant does not want to make an application again in the step S20, the application step using the lotto number is finished (S21) , and then the initial log-in page is displayed. If the applicant's computer does not attempt to make an application using a lotto number in the step S13, the web server 20 determines (S22) whether the applicant attempts to obtain a lotto number of recognition information assigned to the specific information displayed on a web-site constructed by the web server 20. If the applicant attempts to obtain a lotto number in the step S22, the web server 20 transmits the list of a plurality of specific information displayed on a corresponding web-site to a computer of a corresponding applicant. If the list item of predetermined specific information is determined by an operation of the applicant's computer, advertisement data of corresponding specific information such as a banner advertisement is transmitted (23) to the applicant's computer.
The web server 20 determines whether the applicant's computer attempts (S24) to view an advertisement content of specific information or not. If the applicant attempts to view the advertisement content of the specific information in the step S24, the web server 20 displays a detailed advertisement content of the specific information, and makes (S25) the applicant view the content visibly and audibly.
After the applicant .views the advertisement content in the step S25, the web server 20 makes (S26) the applicant' computer obtain a lotto number assigned to the specific information.
In the meantime, if the web server 20 determines that the applicant does not attempt to obtain the lotto number in the step S22, the web server 20 determines (S27) whether or not the applicant operates his/her computer to view a local advertisement. If the web server 20 determines that the applicant operates his/her computer to view the local advertisement in the step S27, the web server analyzes the member information stored in the database DB1, and selects (S28) advertisement information related to the member information such as age, sex, occupation, income, and interest that are collected when users sign up for the web service, and displays (S29) the selected web advertisement on a web page as a local advertisement.
If the web server 20 determines (S30) whether the applicant member views the detailed advertisement content of the selected local advertisement, the web server 20 transmits (S31) the data of the detailed advertisement content of the selected web advertisement to the applicant's computer. Then, the web server 20 exposes recognition information (i.e., a lotto number) assigned to a corresponding local advertisement, and thus makes (S32) a corresponding applicant obtain the lotto number.
If the web server 20 determines that the applicant does not want to view the local advertisement in the step S27, the web server 20 determines (S33) whether the applicant operates his/her computer to view a web-site advertisement .
If the web server 20 determines that the applicant operates his/her computer to view the web-site advertisement in the step S33, the database DB1 analyzes member information of a corresponding applicant member, extracts (S34) a link information list of the web-site having the contents related to the member registered information, and visibly displays (S35) the link information list to make the applicant confirm it on his/her computer.
Under this condition, the web server 20 determines whether the applicant member selects a predetermined list item among a plurality of many web-site link information lists and attempts (S36) to access the web-site. If the predetermined list item is selected by the applicant member in the step S36, an additional sub web-page not the web-page of the web-site constructed by the web server 20 is formed. By making the applicant enter the selected web-site, the applicant can view (S37) contents information of a corresponding web-site.
After that, the web server 20 obtains (S38) a lotto number of recognition information assigned to a corresponding web-site as the result of the applicant's viewing.
If the web server 20 determines that the applicant does not operate his/her computer to view the site advertisement in the step S33, the web server 20 determines (S39) whether the applicant operates his/her computer to view a drawing result of his/her application using the lotto number.
If the applicant operates his/her computer to view the drawing result in the step S39, the web server 20 displays (S40) the drawing result on a web-page. In the step S39, the web server 20 determines (S42) whether the applicant member attempts to log out a corresponding web-site. If the applicant member logs out the corresponding web-site in the step S42, a program shown in Figs. 8a~8B is terminated.
Herein below, detailed descriptions regarding a second embodiment of the present invention will be made with reference to Figs. 9 and 10.
As Fig. 9 illustrates configuration of a promotion system for consumer recognizing rate of specific information in accordance with the second embodiment of the present invention, same reference numerals are given to substantially like parts of the first embodiment as shown in Fig. 3, and detailed descriptions will be omitted. In Fig. 9, a plurality of advertiser systems Bl~Bn disclose various specific information assigned with recognition information via the mass media. As a result of obtaining the recognition information by reading corresponding specific information, applicants * are supposed to apply for drawing by using the recognition information, where the applicants are already registered to the membership through the Automatic Response System (ARS) .
In the same drawing, a plurality of telephone devices Cl~Cn, which are operated by the plurality of applicants, conduct the drawing by using the lotto number assigned to the specific information disclosed in the mass media through a membership sign-up procedure after connecting to the ARS server 90 via a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) .
When a call is connected by dialing of the plurality of telephone devices Cl~Cn in accordance with ARS functions, the ARS server 90 investigates member information stored in the database DB1 through DB server 24. If the caller is not registered in membership, the ARS server 90 transmits voice guide information for membership registration in sequence.
Subsequently, when digit input signals of member information are inputted by operating the respective function key buttons equipped in the telephone devices
Cl-Cn, the ARS server 90 stores the member information in the database DB1 under the management of the DB server 24.
Furthermore, the ARS server 90 enables a drawing by transmitting corresponding voice guide information when a normal registered member applies for the drawing with the lotto number obtained from specific information by operating a selected telephone device.
In addition to a general management for the ARS server 90 and the DB server 24, a host server 92 is provided for conducting an action of drawing for applied lotto numbers by a self-contained lottery engine. The host server 92 processes a settlement of the cost paid for providing the recognition information in connection with a financial settlement server 26. The cost paid for providing the recognition information is charged to the plurality of advertiser systems Bl~Bn. Then, the host server 92 settles the prize money in a predetermined ratio to the winning applicants, the advertiser systems and the advertisement agents by contacting with the financial settlement server 26. Operations of the second embodiment of the present invention as constituted above will be described in detail with reference to a flowchart of Fig. 10.
First, the plurality of advertiser systems Bl~Bn disclose various kinds of specific information such as advertisements, articles, or broadcasting programs via the mass media by entrusting advertisement agents, and in case the specific information are assigned with recognition information, i.e. the identification logo and the lotto number, a plurality of applicants recognize (S50) the recognition information assigned to the recognition information as disclosed in the mass media.
Under such circumstances, the applicant uses a selected telephone device among a plurality of telephone devices Cl~Cn, and accesses to the ARS server 90 by dialing the ARS number through the PSTN. Then, the ARS server 90 forms (S51) a communication path for allowing the telephone communication.
At this time, the ARS server 90 decides (S52) whether the connected user of the telephone device is a registered member or not, by transmitting voice guide information to request for inputting member-login information.
As non member-login information is inputted, the user is decided a non-member, and the ARS server 90 transmits (S53) voice guide information for registration in order for the user to input member information, user
ID, and account information for password.
Meanwhile, when digit information for the member information, the user ID, and the account information for password are transmitted to the ARS server 90 according to the user's operation, the ARS server 90 stores them in the database DB1 under the management of the DB server 24.
Next, the ARS server 90 allows (S54) a member-login according to corresponding key button operations from the user, and transmits (S55) to applicants inquiries of voice guide information to be used for market analysis and measuring effectiveness of the consumer recognition.
As the telephone device generates digit information in responsive to the inquires, the ARS server 90 stores response information in the database DB1, transmits (S56) voice guide information requesting to input the lotto number, and receives digit information of the lotto number by the corresponding key button operation.
The host server 92 makes the DB server 24 to retrieve advertiser information from the corresponding inputted lotto number, thereby generating questions asking its advertiser in the manner of voice guide information. And then, voice guide information about the questions asking the advertiser is transmitted (S57) to the corresponding telephone device. The ARS server 90 decides (S58) whether digit information of correct answer is inputted or not from the telephone device, and if the ARS server 90 receives the digit information of correct answer, specific information of the advertiser is transmitted (S59) to the telephone device in the manner of voice guide information, so that the applicant can listen to the specific information once more .
The host server 92 creates (S60) the last application number from the inputted lotto number in combination with the user ID, which is given at time of registration, or in combination with the user's residence registration number.
In the meantime, the ARS server 90 determines (S61) whether the telephone device performs a key-button operation for re-application using another lotto number or not. If the re-application is made in the step S61, the ARS server 90 returns to the step S56 and performs again the steps S56 to S60.
On the contrary, application using the lotto number is finished (S62) when the telephone device does not conduct any key button operation for re-application and the user cuts the communication path, or the telephone device transmits particular termination information.
Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be made in detail. Figs. 11a and lib illustrate an exemplary application of a lotto number and a discount point for a particular product advertised over the mass media in accordance with a third embodiment of the present invention. As described in Fig. 11a, if predetermined specific information is displayed on a newspaper or a magazine as advertisement information for a manufactured product, an identification logos M5 and M6 indicated as "Φ" are positioned on left upper end of the advertisement section of a product, where the advertisement section means a full-page advertisement or a partial-page advertisement of a newspaper. In the vicinity of the identification logos M5 and M6, discount point information DC1 and DC2 of a product are positioned, and number information of lotto numbers FN6 and FN7 comprised of a number over four ciphers are positioned to a predetermined position of the newspaper in order to allow a newspaper subscriber to easily recognize name or image of the product.
Here, the discount point information displayed in the vicinity of the identification logos M5 and M6 can be displayed according to a predetermined format such as a discount percentage, e.g., 2%, or a discount amount, e.g., 5,000 won.
Although the applicant obtains the discount point information from printed media such as newspapers in off- line state, one must conduct the application using the lotto number through multimedia communication network such as the Internet, or the ARS so that the discount point can be applied thereto. Moreover, this discount point is only applicable in on-line cyber shopping malls, which apply the discount point system.
As shown in Fig. lib, when a product advertisement as specific information is displayed on a web-page of a cyber shopping mall over the Internet and recognition information for each product is assigned therewith, a lotto number FN8 for easy recognition of the product's name and image is positioned at a predetermined location within detailed information of the product in which an identification logo M7 and discount point information DC3 are displayed. Meanwhile, although the third embodiment of the present invention regarding the identification logo, the lotto number and the discount point exemplifies only printed media such as newspapers and cyber shopping malls in the Internet, however, it is also applicable to other printed media such as weekly, monthly or quarterly magazines, or to other multimedia such as television or large-sized electric sign board.
Fig. 12 illustrates configuration of a promotion system for consumer recognizing rate of specific information in accordance with a third embodiment of the present invention. Same reference numerals are given to substantially like parts of the first embodiment as shown in Fig. 3, and detailed descriptions will be omitted.
As shown in Fig. 12, a plurality of advertiser systems Bl~Bn disclose product advertisements as specific information in printed media such as newspapers and magazines, or in multimedia such as the Internet website and television, and a management server 102 assigns recognition information, i.e., identification logos and lotto numbers and discount point information with respect to each product advertisement.
In the same drawing, a plurality of electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn assign recognition information, i.e. identification logos, lotto numbers and discount point information by using the management server 102. Assigning the lotto number and the application of product information are demanded by the plurality of advertiser systems Bl~Bn.
Furthermore, as a user purchases a product applying for the discount point in a corresponding cyber shopping mall, the plurality of electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn transmit basic information about the user and purchase information about the use of the discount point to the management server 102.
The management server 102 makes the advertiser system to freely apply discount percentage and discount amount of the discount point information in view of the kinds of products or the production date.
Furthermore, the management server 102 assigns the lotto number and the discount point information with respect to those products sold in the cyber shopping malls constructed in the plurality of electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn. The management server 102 receives use information of the discount point information along with basic information of the user from the electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn, determines whether the user being a consumer is identical with an applicant or not, thereby allowing the use of deposited discount points.
A plurality of computers Al~An for applicants access to a web server 100 through the Internet with obtaining lotto numbers and discount information assigned to particular product advertisements displayed in various mass media including the cyber shopping malls, which are constructed in the electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn. As a result, a drawing using the lotto number is conducted and there is applied a discount amount by a predetermined discount point, which is decided at the time purchasing corresponding products in the cyber shopping malls of the electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn.
The web server 100 allows those applicants registered as members to apply for the drawings using the lotto number, stores the discount point information as member information in a database DB2. With regard to the discount point information, the web server 100 decides whether to apply the discount point information according to purchasing predetermined products from the electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn.
Although the discount point information given with the lotto number for predetermined products is set with a time limit, for example, three months, and the discount point information is applied to a predetermined applicant member through the electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn, the web server 100 cancels the discount point information stored in the database DB2 unless there is a purchase notice for corresponding products within the time limit.
The database DB2 stores member information according to registration of the applicants operating a plurality of computers Al~An for applicants; assignment information of lotto numbers and discount point information with respect to product advertisement which are requested to display in the mass media by the plurality of advertiser systems Bl~Bn; and discount point information of applicants applying for the use of the discount point information.
Operations of the present invention as constituted above will be described in detail with reference to a flowchart of Figs. 13a and 13b. First, a plurality of advertiser systems Bl~Bn disclose various kinds of specific information such as product advertisements via the mass media including cyber shopping malls constructed in a plurality of electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn. And, as recognition information such as lotto number and discount point information is assigned by a management server 102, a plurality of applicants recognize (S70) the applied lotto number and the discount point information as assigned to the product advertisement disclosed in the mass media. Under such circumstances, the plurality of applicants operate the computers Al~An, and access to a web server 100 through the Internet. At this time, if the plurality of computers Al~An for applicants request for registration to membership, the web server 100 receives member information as the applicant inputs through the computers Al~An, and allows (S71) the registration when a user ID and an account information for password are completed.
When a predetermined user among the above registered applicants attempts to login by using the user ID and the password, the web server 100 allows (S72) a member-login based on the account information of the member information, and transmits (S73) to applicants inquiries to be used for market analysis and measuring effectiveness of the consumer recognition.
As the applicant computer generates a response to the inquires, the web server 100 requests (S74) to input the lotto number obtained from the product advertisement and the applicant inputs it in due course. After the lotto number is inputted, the web server 100 makes the database DB2 to retrieve advertiser information from the corresponding inputted lotto number, thereby generating (S75) questions asking its advertiser via a website. And then, the web server 100 decides (S76) whether correct answer is inputted or not from the applicant's computer.
And if the web server 100 receives correct answer, product advertisement of the advertiser is re-transmitted
(577) to the applicant's computer in order to remind product images to the applicant. The web server 100 creates (S78) the last application number from the inputted lotto number in combination with the user ID, which is given at time of registration, or in combination with the applicant's residence registration number. In addition to the member information of the applicant, the web server 100 stores
(578) the discount point information applied to the product advertisement assigned with lotto number in the database DB2.
Thereafter, the web server 100 decides (S79) whether the applicant applies for another lotto number of other product advertisements. If the result at Step S79 is YES, the web server 100 repeatedly performs the steps
S74 through S78.
In the meantime, if no operation for application is detected from the applicant's computer, i.e. the result at Step S79 is NO, the web server 100 decides through the management server 102 whether the applicant purchases
(S80) any products assigned with the discount point information from the cyber shopping mall constructed in the plurality of electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn.
If the applicant applying for the lotto number is decided as he/she did not buy the product assigned with the same from the cyber shopping mall constructed in the electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn, it is considered (S81) whether a predetermined time limit, for example, three months with respect to the discount point information, has elapsed or not.
As a result, if the time limit has already elapsed, the web server 100 cancels (S82) the discount point information stored in the database DB2. However, if the applicant applying for the lotto number is decided as he/she bought the product assigned with the same from the cyber shopping mall constructed in the electronic commerce systems Dl~Dn, the web server 100 withdraws (S83) the discount point information stored in the database DB2.
Hereinafter, a fourth embodiment of the present invention will be made in detail.
Fig. 14 illustrates configuration of a promotion system for consumer recognizing rate of specific information in accordance with a fourth embodiment of the present invention. Same reference numerals are given to substantially like parts of the third embodiment as shown in Fig. 12, and detailed descriptions will be omitted.
According to the fourth embodiment of the present invention, a plurality of applicants obtaining lotto numbers and discount point information are able to make an application via communication networks such as the Internet. Additionally, the applicants directly consume their discount points obtained from product advertisements, since there are constructed cyber shopping malls for electronic commerce in the present system.
In Fig. 14, there are constructed many cyber shopping mall sites dealing various products and lottery applying sites using lotto numbers assigned in products traded in the cyber shopping malls, and an electronic commerce server 200 implements the lottery application of applicants registered under compulsory membership joining policy by using the lotto numbers assigned with predetermined products so that discount point information is applied at every purchase of the predetermined product. Furthermore, by contacting with a financial settlement server 26, the electronic commerce server 200 settles the applicant's account valance according to his/her purchase through a corresponding cyber shopping mall; operates a self-contained lottery engine using the lotto numbers; and distributes winning prize monies.
A plurality of shop systems El-En put various products to the cyber shopping malls constructed in the electronic commerce server 200; are assigned with lotto numbers and discount point information; and submit cost for assigning the lotto number and discount point information of a corresponding product.
A shop management server 202 conducts management of the products stored in the plurality of shop systems El~-En and applies the lotto number and discount point information to each product.
Meanwhile, a first database DB3 stores member information according to registrations' of the plurality of applicants; member's application information using the lotto number; and information about the use of the discount point. A second database DB4 stores product information of the various products contained in the shop systems El~En; and information about the lotto number and the discount point assigned to each product. In addition to the application using a lotto number of a product displayed in the corresponding cyber shopping mall, the electronic commerce server 200 also enables applications using a lotto number obtained from other sources, for example, the printed media such as newspapers, or television or the Internet.
Herein, since advertisements of the same products are displayed on various mass media, different lotto numbers are assigned to each product. But, if a discount point information on behalf of the different lotto number is assigned to each product and a predetermined applicant makes an application using each lotto number obtained from a cyber shopping mall and many mass media, discount point information assigned to all products are applied at once. Accordingly, if the applicant purchases a corresponding product from the cyber shopping mall site, the price of the product is discounted by the total discount points.
That is, if discount points are rated as 1.5% in the cyber shopping malls and in the mass media respectively, the actual discount point is 3%. And, also each lotto number obtained from both sources are effective. However, the shop systems or the advertisers who entrust advertisements via various mass media can determine a rate of totaling each discount point.
In the meantime, the shop management server 202 can assign a lotto number and a discount point information of a product advertisement to many advertisers by means of various kinds of mass media, as well as to the many ship systems El~En.
Operation of the present invention as constituted above will be described in detail with reference to a flow chart of Fig. 15.
A plurality of applicants using computers Al~An access to an electronic commerce server 200 through the
Internet, and the electronic commerce server 200 allows (S90) access to cyber shopping mall sites constructed therein.
If there is a request for inputting member information, a user ID and an account for password in order to sign-up for membership from the applicant, the electronic commerce server 200 stores the member information in a first database DB3 , and approves (S91) a registration of the user ID and password of a corresponding applicant.
However, the electronic commerce server 200 shares the member information, the user ID, and the password, which are needed to sign-up for membership in cyber shopping mall site, with an application site using a lotto number.
Under such circumstances, when the applicant's computer attempts to log-in by using the user ID and password, the electronic commerce server 200 allows (S92) the member-login and provides (S93) a search environment for the applicant by listing categorized product information of the applicant's wishful products.
Herein, the electronic commerce server 200 discloses detailed descriptions of a product searched at a corresponding cyber shopping mall and displays a lotto number and discount point information of the same so that the applicant can obtain them.
The electronic commerce server 200 decides (S94) whether there is any operation from the applicant's computer for purchasing a predetermined product.
If there is an operation for purchasing a predetermined product in the applicant's computer, the electronic commerce server 200 determines (S95) whether a discount point assigned to a corresponding product is previously deposited by the applicant member who views the same product advertisement displayed on various mass media excepting the corresponding cyber shopping mall site, and makes an application using a lotto number assigned to the product advertisement.
If the discount point obtained from another mass media excepting the cyber shopping mall is previously deposited in the step S95, the electronic commerce server 200 applies (S96) a total point of a pre-deposited discount point and a new discount point created by purchasing a corresponding product from the cyber shopping mall, and settles the payment under a connection with a financial settlement server 26.
However, if there is no deposited discount point with respect to the identical product in the step S95, only a discount point created by purchasing the corresponding product from the cyber shopping mall is applied (S97) .
After performing the Step S96 or S97, the electronic commerce server 200 decides whether the applicant is applying for the lotto number obtained from detailed descriptions of the product advertisement. If the server 200 decides the applicant is applying now, i.e. a result at the Step S98 is YES, it transmits (S99) to the applicant inquiries about other particular products to be used for market analysis and measuring effectiveness of consumer recognition.
As the applicant's computer generates answer information in responsive to those inquires, the server 200 requests to input the lotto number, and the applicant inputs (S100) the lotto number, thereby generating (SlOl) a question asking its advertiser so as to enhance a recognition degree of the product image.
The server 200 decides (S102) whether the answer information is correctly inputted or not, and if the server 200 receives the correct answer, and creates
(S103) the last application number from the inputted lotto number in combination with the user ID, which is given at time of registration, or in combination with the user's residence registration number. In the meantime, the electronic commerce server 200 distributes in a predetermined ratio the winning prize monies to the applicants, the shop systems, or the advertisement agents by using a self-contained lottery engine .
