Abstract

An improved face mask filtration media includes a meltblown polymer/pulp coform web formed of a matrix of meltblown polypropylene fibers with individual pulp fibers disposed throughout. The meltblown polypropylene fibers may be formed from a polymer blend having an electret additive to improve electret filtering characteristics of the polymer fibers. The invention also contemplates any style or configuration of face mask utilizing the improved filtration media.
