Description

SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING WRITTEN MATTER USING ELETRONIC
BLACKBOARD
Techinical Field
The present invention relates generally to electronic blackboard characterized for providing written contents in memory of a lecturer in a lecture digitalized by optical character recognition to be saved on recording medium therefore to , be provided through online and offline manners.
Background Art
In recent years, electronic related art is growing rapidly, consequently automating and simplifying in areas of unknown world, therefore as an example the education institutes and companies are substituting with electronic blackboard for lecture.
Generally, an electronic blackboard scans and copies the stored written content or drawing data to heat sensing rolling papers for printing.
Because the information of drawings and written contents are scanned then copied in papers, the users had to suffer from inconvenience of keeping and setting the papers in order.
Therefore, electronic blackboard contents are copied and printing to heat sensing paper, and it's weak point is the information on paper could only be delivered to the by fax or by offline manners . Therefore, even if the large audiences like from broadcasting stations are willing to keep the contents, usually the broadcasting companies sell cassettes having past lecture contents recorded therein
By the growth of usability with internet network, instead of purchasing video or audiocassettes enhancing the costs, the users are preferring online data downloading methods via internet network, thus minimizing the burden of educational costs.
Therefore, for targeting large audience from broadcasting stations, after the class, the ^written contents are digitalized and stored in record medium like floppy disks and uploaded to internet web pages for online and offline downloading.
Disclosure of the Invention
Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide the digitalized lecture contents via internet or record medium to the audience.
The other objects of the present invention will be more clearly explained from the following detailed description.
Brief Description of the Drawings
Fig. 1 is a block diagram illustrating the construction of the present invention.
Fig. 2 is a block diagram illustrating the construction of the electronic blackboard.
Fig. 3 is a block diagram illustration the server construction of the present invention.
Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
The present invention for providing written content is characterized by comprising: an electronic blackboard storing digitalized written contents and drawings by optical character recognition, and to provide service by broadcasting the digital data stored in the electronic blackboard as stated above to multiple clients at internet.
Also, a self-contained web server to be visible in the public network at internet with URL address comprising a digital data transmission module using at least the TCP/IP protocol; client information authentication module as stated above, containing for example: name, address, contact, account, etc.; a database containing the digital data as stated above; a digital data management module to transmit requested data from authenticated client by searching in the database; a central control unit for operating the database and modules as stated above.
The electronic blackboard further comprises: client's recording unit storing written data and drawings; rotator for the record holder as stated above; scanning unit to read the written and drawing data from the rotator as stated above; processing unit for digitalizing the data into a editable format stated above; the digitalized data are inserted in to the control unit for editing which as an example the data using for editing in a word processor. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail in reference to the accompanying drawings.
According to fig. 1, the present invention for written content providing system(lOO) comprises a electronic blackboard (200) , by retrieving data from electronic blackboard (200) , is consisted by a site server (300) to provide service to the clients (400) .
According to fig. 2, the electronic blackboard (200) comprises a recording unit (10), rotator unit (20), scanning unit (30), control unit (40), digital processing unit (50), and transmitting unit (60).
The data are stored in the Recording unit (10) by client and the recording unit is rotated by the rotating unit (20).
The scanning unit (30) which is controlled by rotating unit (20) scans the written content and drawing data at the recording unit (10) for digitalization, therefore the digitalized data is send to the processing unit (50)
The digital processing unit (50) reads the received data to be process in to a editable digital format, thus the editable digital format is stored in the database of the database server (300).
According to fig. 3, the server (300) become visible in the public network, having URL address, comprising t.he communication module (301), user authentication module (302), database (303) , digital data management unit (304), and central control unit (305). communication module (301) uses the TCP/IP protocol for digital data transfer and reception with the client (400) side, the authentication module (302) authorizes the client (400) data through authentication, as an example: name, address, contact, payment account, etc.
The digital written contents from electronic blackboard (200) and client's personal data are saved in the database (303) , the digital data management unit (304) transfers the requested, data from client (400) through communication module (301), the central control unit (305) is for operation of the database (303) and modules as stated above .
The operation of the above configuration will be discussed as follows.
First, the user writes and draws at the electronic blackboard' s (200) recording unit (10), rotating unit (20) rotates the recording unit (10) while the written matter is scanned by the scanning unit (30) therefore digitalizing the data, scanning unit (30) transfers the digital data to the digital processing unit (50), thus converting the data in to a editable digital data format, the editable digital data format from digital processing unit (50) is saved at the database server' s (300) database (303) .
By the procedure as described above, the electronic blackboard' s (200) written content and drawing is constantly stored in the database server' s (300) database (303) , the client (400) connects to the server' s (300) URL site using a web browser, the server (300) side authentication module (302) authorizes the client (400) by authentication process. When authentication is concluded, the client (400) searches and selects the digital data at the database server' s (300) database (303) , the selected digital data is download to the client (400) side controlled by the data management module (304).
For client (400) to be able to receive the digital data, need to be subscribed as a member at the server (300) side by paying a membership fee, or it can pay with client's credit, card to pay only for number of downloads, which the payment can be done in various .methods . ,
Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention.
Industrial Applicability
According to the present invention, the written content and drawing data is converted to digitalized data for digital transfer and reception, the digitalized data can be distributed targeting the audience from educational broadcasting station, or it can be distributed by record medium like floppy disk or CD-ROM, so that the audience can access the data at any time besides given lecture times to watch lecture contents of a desired date through recording medium or by downloading the contents.
Therefore, if the optical character recognition electronic blackboard is generalized, the lecture contents from schools and companies can be downloaded and reproduced at home or in the office, making possibility for remote educational proposes to be more convenient than conventional video conference system, and the lecturer don't need to previously prepare for the lecture contents .
