Abstract

The invention relates to a filter having a predetermined diameter; solid particulares from a fluid stream entering into the pipe, and a method of manufacturing the filter wherein the filter comprises a metal fiber wool mat (110) being wound onto a first multi-perforated tubular pipe (190) and a second multi-perforated pipe being mounted onto the exterior of the metal fiber wool mat (110) after it has been wound onto the first multi-perforated tubular pipe (190). The invention also includes a method for making the metal fiber wool mat (110).
