Abstract

A method and a plant serve for the biological purification and relief of bodies of water in which anaerobic sludges have been deposited and the re-establishment of the biological equilibrium, whereby the necessary oxygen is introduced in such a way that the desired water circulation (10) in the body of water and a distribution of desired micro-organisms above the sludge are achieved. A planar and uniform breakdown of the sludge occurs and thereby a rapid and secure re-establishment of the biological equilibrium in a body of water, previously heavily contaminated with sludge.
