Abstract

The invention relates to a bag made of a thermoplastic sheet, comprising a front wall (1) and a back wall (2) which are interlinked through side welds (3, 4), thus forming a filling opening (6). Each of the two walls has a double layer in the region (13) of the filling opening (6). One pull band (9, 10) extending throughout the width of the bag is inserted between the two layers of the front wall (1) and another one between the two layers of the back wall (2) and both pull bands (9, 10) are welded to each other at their two ends. According to the present invention, both corners of the front wall (1) and the back wall (2) are provided with cuts (14, 15) which uncover the end regions (16, 17) of the pull bands (9, 10), thereby forming handling holes. Both pull bands (9, 10) are made of an expandable plastic material and are welded to each other at a distance from the end weld (11, 12), at least in an uncovered end region (16, 17).

Beutel aus thermoplastischer KunststoffolieBags made of thermoplastic plastic film
Technisches GebietTechnical field
The invention relates to a bag made of thermoplastic plastic film with a front wall and a rear wall, which are connected to one another by side weld seams to form a filler opening and each have a double layer in the area of the filler opening, with two drawstrings extending across the bag width, one of which is between the two Layers of the front wall and the rear wall is inserted and which are welded to each other at their two ends, and with a grip hole partially exposing the drawstring for each drawstring, and a method for producing such a bag.
Stand der TechnikState of the art
Such bags, which can be closed by means of the inserted drawstring after filling, are known in many forms. For example, DE 38 21 905 describes a bag in which a drawstring is inserted in a folded-over and welded-on seam provided at the filling opening, which is also welded to the side weld seam. A grip hole in the middle of the hem allows you to grasp the drawstring.
A discloses a bag and a method for its production, in which the front wall and the rear wall are each formed by an outer and inner film layer, each of which extends over the entire wall surface. In the area of the filling opening, a drawstring extending across the bag width is inserted between the two film layers, the ends of the two drawstrings being welded to the side weld seams of the bag. In the middle area of each double layer there is a grip hole partially exposed to the drawstring. Such bags are often used for filling in bucket-shaped containers, for example as garbage bags in garbage cans. In the case of the known bags, the upper edge with the filling opening and the drawstring is usually folded over the upper edge of the container so that it is covered by the bag and the bag is kept open in the container. In the known bags, this type of fixing the bag in the container is often inadequate. The filling opening of the bag is not sufficiently held at the edge of the container during filling, so that the bag rushes into the container.
Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention
The invention is therefore based on the object of improving a bag of the generic type in such a way that it can be fixed to a container edge in an improved manner with simple manufacture.
This object is achieved in that both the front wall and the rear wall each have the end regions of the drawstrings exposing cutouts at both corners, that the two drawstrings are additionally welded to one another at least in an exposed end region at a distance from the end weld, and that the drawstrings are made of are made of an elastically stretchable material.
Due to the second welding, the drawstrings limit a filler opening with a reduced cross-section, which is elastically stretchable and thus enlargeable. The filling edge of the bag designed in this way can be stretched elastically over the edge of a container and thus securely fixed. The ends protruding from the second weld each form an exposed protruding eyelet, on which the drawstrings can be simply packed to remove the bag from the container and to close the bag.

Wege zur Ausführung der ErfindungWays of Carrying Out the Invention
The bag shown in the drawing is made of thermoplastic film. It consists of a front wall 1 and a rear wall 2, which are connected to one another at their edges by side welds 3, 4. The bottom of the bag 1 is closed by a bottom seam 5, which is produced by longitudinal welding. At least in the area of the filling opening 6, both the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 are formed in two layers, as can be seen from FIG. 2. For this purpose, a hem is either made in the area of the filling opening 6 by turning over the respective web edges, or the bag is made from four webs lying one above the other, so that the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 are each formed as a double layer as a whole. The double-layered area of the filling opening 6 is delimited by longitudinal weld seams 7, 8, which each connect the two layers of the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2. At the edge of the filling opening 6, the two layers of the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 are each connected together in a closed manner. This is achieved in that the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 are each made of a half tube, the folds of which form the edge of the filler opening. Alternatively, it is possible to weld the two layers of the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 to one another at the edge of the filling opening 6 using a longitudinal weld seam.
In the area of the filling opening 6, a drawstring 9, 10 is inserted between the two layers of the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2. Both drawstrings 9, 10 extend over the entire width of the bag and are each at their ends a cross weld 11, 12 welded together so that they form a self-contained, the filler opening 6 surrounding drawstring. The drawstrings 9, 10 are made of an elastically stretchable material, in particular an elastic plastic material.
The double-layered upper region 13, delimited by the longitudinal weld seam 7, of both the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 has arcuate cut-outs 14, 15 at both corners, so that the end regions 16, 17 of both tension bands 9, 10 are exposed. The cutouts 14, 15 form grip holes in which the ends of the drawstrings 9, 10 can be gripped. At least in one, preferably in both exposed end regions 16, 17, the two tension bands 9, 10 are additionally welded to one another at a distance from the weld seams 11, 12 forming the final weld. The additional welds 18, 19 preferably each consist of a series of welding spots arranged transversely, and a further transverse welding seam can also be provided at a distance from the welding seams 11, 12.
The additional welds 18, 19 shorten the drawstrings 9, 10 in their length delimiting the fill opening 6. The filling opening 6 thus has a reduced cross section compared to the rest of the bag. Since the drawstrings 9, 10 are made of elastic material, the size of the filler opening 6 can be increased by expanding the drawstrings 9, 10. The filling edge of the bag can thus be stretched elastically over the edge of a container and securely fixed. The ends 16, 17 projecting beyond the second welds 17, 18 each form an eyelet which is exposed in the cutouts 14, 15 and on which the drawstrings 9, 10 can be easily gripped.
In the production of bags, the entire front wall 1 and rear wall 2 of which are double-layered, two web layers with a width of two unwinding rolls are deducted, which corresponds to twice the length of the bag (= distance from the bottom seam 5 to the edge of the filling opening 6). The two webs, first lying on top of one another, are first fed to a processing station in which circular openings are punched into both layers in the middle of the web. The distance between the centers of two adjacent openings corresponds to the width of a bag to be produced. Then roll along the center line both above the top layer and below the bottom layer peeled strips fed through, which extend through the openings. Then the two layers are folded outwards around a central longitudinal fold, i.e. the upper layer is up and the lower layer is down. In this way, two half-tubes are formed, each of which has a drawstring along the longitudinal fold. The circular openings are also folded into semicircles in which the drawstrings are exposed. The bottom seam 5 connecting all four layers and the two longitudinal seams 7, 8 are then produced by longitudinal welding, each of which only connects the two outer layers to one another and delimits the area 13 with the tension band. Subsequently, 4 individual bags are formed in a welding station by transverse welding to form the side seams 3, 4. Double side seams 3, 4 are preferably welded, between which a perforation is provided. The bags wound into rolls can be torn off individually. When the side seams 3, 4 are cross-welded, the cross-weld seams 11, 12 are simultaneously produced in the drawstrings, and the drawstrings 9, 10 of a bag are also cut off in this way. It is a great advantage of the method according to the invention that with only one welding tool, for example a welding bar, which extends over the length of the bag, the ends of the drawstrings 9, 10 are welded to one another at the same time and without additional effort, which ends due to the punched-outs 14, 15 lie free. Simultaneously with the weld seams 3, 11 and 4, 12, in the pulsed welding station with separate welding tools, the drawstrings 9, 10 are connected to one another by additional welds 18 and 19. The additional welds 18, 19 each run at a distance from the end welds 11, 12 within the area exposed by the punched-outs 14, 15.
The individual bags still connected by webs between the perforations are then wound up into rolls. It is of great advantage that the drawstrings 9, 10 of two adjacent bags are only separated from one another by a perforation, that is to say they are still connected to one another by webs. The bags are still connected to each other over their entire length and can be easily wound up into rolls.
According to another embodiment, two web layers are also processed lying one above the other. The two web layers are folded in the middle in the longitudinal direction. So form four superimposed web layers with a double-layered longitudinal fold, which later forms the bottom of the bag.
Subsequently, on the side opposite to the longitudinal fold, semicircular punchings 14, 15 are made through all four layers at regular intervals. Thereafter, elastically stretchable bands 9, 10 are inserted in the area 13 between the two upper and lower layers in the longitudinal direction. After inserting the two drawstrings 9, 10, the two web layers of the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 are closed by longitudinal welding of a head seam and connected to each other. The head seams created thereby limit the opening 6 of the bag.
Finally, individual bags are formed in the manner described above by cross welding to form the side seams 3, 4. In the cross welding, the two tension bands 9, 10 are welded together at their ends. Likewise, the additional welds 18, 19 are introduced into the exposed end regions 16, 17 in the manner described above in order to reduce the size of the filling opening 6 of the bag.
For the production of bags, the front wall 1 and the rear wall 2 of which are each double-layered only in the region 13 of the filling opening 6, a half tube is expediently pulled off an unwinding roll. The half tube is folded on the long side, on which the bottom of the bag is later formed. On the other long side, the openings 14, 15 are punched in, and then the drawstrings 9, 10 are placed at a distance from the edges. Each edge is then folded in each case around the inserted drawstring 9, 10 and a seam is thus formed which is welded to the respective position with a weld seam 7. In this method, too, the associated weld seam 11, 12, which connects the two tension bands 9, 10 to one another at their ends, is simultaneously produced with a side seam 3, 4 during cross welding. Likewise, the two tension bands 9, 10 are connected to one another in their end regions by additional welds 18, 19.
