Abstract

A process for the recovery of natural gas liquids (NGL) (ethane, ethylene, propane, propylene and heavier hydrocarbons) from liquefied natural gas (LNG) is disclosed. The LNG feed stream (201) is split (202, 203) with at least one portion used as an external reflux (203, 210, 211), without prior treatment, to improve the separation and recovery of the natural gas liquids (NGL) (214).
