Abstract

A spacer (10) for use in a knee which is kidney-shaped and has a concave femoral surface (20) and an opposite convex tibial surface (24). A pair of non-identical spacers (10 & 34) are provided for a knee. One spacer is disposed laterally and the other is disposed medially in the knee. The spacers (10 & 34) may be formed in a variety of sizes to be adapted to patients of different sizes. The spacers may be formed for the right knee and for the left knee.
