Abstract
The subject of the invention is a window casement, especially the wooden one, assigned to be fastened to the window frame placed in the window opening. The window casement is composed of a frame built up from profiles segments 1,2 provided with an internal groove, in which the window panet is fitted 3 and with an external circumferential seal 4, at the same time the profile segments 1,2 are joined together with the rigid separable joints.
Description
WINDOW CASEMENT
The subject of an invention is a window casement, especially the wooden one, designed so as to be fastened in the frame, fitted in the window opening. So far regular window casements have been made from wooden profile, segments of which were joined together permanently by inlet type joints, reinforced by angular ferrules. The entire casement is covered with a protective-decorative coating. Plastics window casements made of rigid plastic profiles, the segments of which are welded, pressure welded or glued permanently, are also popular. Popular window casements consist of an external circumferential gasket and an internal groove where the window panel and its seal are placed. Quite labour-consuming glazing of popular window casements consists in fitting cartridge of combined window panels in a circumferential groove, fitting a seal and fastening them with a sash stops. Most widespread window casements, especially the wooden ones, have got a construction with elements exposed especially to damages and consumption during its regular usage and changeable weather conditions which results in shakes of the quoins, cracks and vulnerability of the varnish coating. The moisturising of the sash stops in turn results in wood decay. If one of the segments of regular window casement is damaged irreversibly the entire frame needs to be replaced in general. The replacement of the window panel means also that the whole window casement needs to be disassembled together with the seals and sash stops as well.
The window casement according to the invention is characterised in, that segments of profiles are joined together with the rigid separable joints. To make the fastening more stabile the rigid temporary fastening of the profile segments advantageously has got inlets and sunk journals and at least one fastening screwed element passing through two adjoining /vicinal profile segments. Fastening screwed element made of metal is also an advantage. The window casement according to the invention is characterised in, that it has not got a complex, built-up construction, which allows its assembly or replacement of the window panel at the place of the construction without special equipment or tools. There is also no need to damage sash stops. Elimination of the normal stress in the frame of the regular window casements made up of the profile segments joined together inseparately with the use of common methods is obtained in the invention thanks to the application of separable joints of the window elements. The window casement according to the invention can be made both from wooden profiles and the plastics ones. The project of the subject according to the invention is shown on the picture enclosed. Figure 1 illustrates schematic division of the window casement and the fastening elements. Fig. 2 illustrates the cross- section of the fragment of the window casement fixed in the window frame. The window casement composed of a wooden, rectangular frame built-up from the profile segments nr 1^2 is provided with an internal groove, in which the combined window panel 3 is fitted as well as a circumferential seal 4.
The profile segments 1^2 joined together with the rigid separable joints, each of which is provided with inlets and stabilizing journals as well as one wood screw 5, passing through the two adjoining profile segments l__ The window casement is characterised in, that it is provided with an undercutting at the bottom of the compartment, in which a drip cap 6 fixed with / fastened to the window frame is engaged while the window is open. 7
In the case of disassembly of the frame of the window casement of the invention the wood screws are unscrewed 5 and the profile segments 1^2 are disconnected easily.
Claims
1. The window casement consisting the frame built-up from the profiled segments provided with the internal groove, in which the window panel is fitted and circumferential seal characterised in, that the profiled segments 1,2 are joined together with the rigid separable joints.
2. The window casement according to the claim 1 characterised in, that the rigid separable joints are provided with inlets and stabilizing journals and at least one fastening screwed element passing through the two adjoing profile segments 1-2
3. The window casement according to the claim 2 characterised in, that the fastening screwed element 5 is a metal screw.
