Abstract

A transparent panel having unidirectional bullet-resisting characteristics contains an outer transparent sheet of glass, several intermediate sheets formed of an acrylic resin, and an inner transparent sheet formed of a polycarbonate resin. A transparent adhesive bonds the sheets to each other to form the panel. The level of bullet resistance capability is measured according to NIJ standards and the panel has a Level III rating.
