Earplug. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an earplug, which incorporates notable innovations and advantages over current earplugs for a similar purpose. More specifically, the new invention consists of an earplug, improved in support and which also allows an adequate balance of the inner pressure of the ear with the outside, without diminishing its insulating properties with respect to the outside. The new invention cap is specially adapted for people who practice water sports, swimming and the like. For this, the new cap has two clamping appendages and an air passage valve. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The use of earplugs is known, both by those people who need to be isolated from outside noise and by those who practice water sports and want to prevent water from entering the inside of the ears. Among the best known plugs are several types, which do not work properly in situations such as those mentioned. In fact, there are foam, flexible silicone or similar plugs that can be housed inside the ear canal, establishing a closure between the exterior and the interior. However, these plugs when they get wet usually fall off, so they are not effective. There are also plugs consisting of a rod with a rounded end and a series of rings or rings interdistanced longitudinally, leaving one end of the rod free for gripping with the fingers. These plugs are used by introducing the rounded end into the ear and being held by the rings, being constituted in a silicone, flexible plastic or similar. This type of earplugs presents the problem that they completely isolate the ear from the outside, preventing the person from hearing, they also do not allow compensation of the flre, internal sjpn of the ear with the outside, with which the user can lose \ μ stability and balance, which is dangerous in some water sports. In addition, if the rod is notoriously long, it is possible that they fall due to any blow or accidental impact.
There are also plugs consisting of a small moldable mass that is inserted into the ear adapting to the inside of the ear canal. They continue to present problems that do not allow pressure balancing and sound insulation.
Description of the Invention The earplug object of the present invention, allows a better grip and a balance of pressure between the inside of the ear canal and the outside, so that its use for people who swim and practice water sports is ideal . Indeed, with the new invention, we have sought to solve the main problems presented by the current means of hearing protection. An improved fastening of the plug has been sought. For this, it is envisaged that the cap should be constituted by a body that is preferably tapered, tapered or analogous and that allows its introduction into the entrance of the ear canal comfortably. This plug, made of plastic, silicone or similar, has two appendages for fastening. First it presents a short appendix emerging laterally from its back. This appendix is designed for placement in the gap between the swallow or prominence existing in front of the ear canal and the edge of the helix or lower fold that forms the atrial pavilion. In turn, a second appendix, notoriously elongated, is arranged diametrically opposed to the first appendix. This second appendix is placed on the inner side of the anti-helix fold or upper canopy. Said second appendix presents a moldable metal core with which it can be adapted to the interior shape of the user's ear pavilion with ease. This soul is coated by the plastic or silicone material that constitutes the plug, thus avoiding possible damage and erosion. The two opposing appendages allow an improved hold of the cap in place, even if touched or pushed during use. It is envisioned that the central body of the cap may have surrounding rings or nerves that improve fixation to the ear canal and prevent water ingress. In order that the user can easily listen when the head is out of the water and however no water enters the ear canal, it is provided that the cap internally presents a valve that communicates the exterior with the interior. Indeed, said valve is constituted by a fine gauge duct that allows air to pass through comfortably.
Within this duct there is a chamber or widening in which a sphere, globule or body of free movement is housed. When water penetrates the duct, it pushes the sphere or globule against the inner chamber end, blocking its passage into the ear. However, when the chamber is empty of water, the sphere or globule is released allowing the passage of air and sound vibrations. With this system, the user can easily listen with the earplugs on and the pressures inside the ear are balanced with the outside atmosphere, avoiding discomfort and lack of stability.
a su base mayor una prominencia (2) corta, saliente lateralmente, en tanto que en oposición aproximada a dicha prominencia (2) presenta una segunda prominenciaDescription of the figures To complete the description that is going to be carried out below and in order to help a better understanding of its characteristics, this descriptive report is accompanied by a set of figures, in an illustrative and non-limiting way, where they represent the most significant details of the invention. Figure 1.- Shows a side view of the cap. Figure 2.- Shows a front view of the cap. Figure 3.- Shows a view of the plug placed in one ear. Figure 4.- Shows a longitudinal selected view of the cap and the appendages. Preferred embodiment of the invention In view of the aforementioned figures and in accordance with the numbering adopted, a preferred but not limiting embodiment of the invention can be observed therein, in which the cap comprises a rigid, flexible body (1) or semi-flexible with a truncated conical shape, which it presents together at its major base a short prominence (2), laterally protruding, while in approximate opposition to said prominence (2) it presents a second prominence
As mentioned above, in the position of use, the body (1) fits in the ear canal, while the prominence cuts
(2) is housed in the gap between the swallow or prominence in front of the ear canal and the edge of the helix or lower fold that forms the ear pin, and the long prominence (3) is housed on the inner side of the anti-helix fold or Upper pavilion. In this position of use, both prominences (2,3) are protected by the external folds of the ear, that is, in an inward or non-protruding position, which prevents them from being accidentally struck and causing the involuntary fall or removal of the plug. The body (1) of the cap comprises a valve constituted by a communication channel (5), arranged longitudinally between the face exposed to the outside and the inner face, operatively facing the ear canal in use position. This communication channel (5) has in its intermediate zone a widening of its diameter or housing (6) in which a globule (7) or similar sphere, of free movement, is housed, but which cannot exit through any of the channel ends (5). The globule or sphere (7) forms a valve that prevents the entry of water into the ear and allows, however, a compensation of internal and external pressures and hearing by the user when he is out of the water. In an alternative embodiment, the body (1) of the cap may comprise ribs (8) or surrounding projections in its contour of direct contact with the inside of the ear canal.
