Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système modulaire et un procédé pour afficher et commander une interface d'applications d'ordinateur hôte au moyen d'un flux vidéo en temps réel et d'un flux de commande au niveau d'un client récepteur de médias numérique à distance. Les pixels d'affichage graphique continus et les données audio d'une fenêtre d'interface d'applications d'ordinateur hôte sont divisés en segments temporels de longueur prédéfinie. Ces segments sont ensuite codés en tant que flux vidéo et audio. Ces flux vidéo et audio sont alors envoyés à un client récepteur de médias numérique à distance où ils sont décodés afin d'être affichés sur un dispositif de télévision ou d'être lus sur un système audio. L'interface d'applications d'ordinateur hôte est commandée par des commandes d'utilisateur qui proviennent du client récepteur de médias numérique à distance. Ces commandes sont envoyées sur un canal de commande qui est établi entre l'ordinateur hôte et le récepteur de médias numérique.
