Abstract

The invention relates to underpants which are designed to control urinary incontinence. The invention comprises a front barrier element which is equipped with a sleeve which enables the penis to be positioned and isolated in a special housing. The aforementioned barrier element comprises three layers, namely: a first layer comprising the sleeve through which the penis is extracted, a second layer comprising a mesh which surrounds the penis, and a third layer comprising waterproof fabric which is designed to prevent wetting. In addition, an absorbent pad is positioned between the second and third layers. Moreover, a space or pouch is formed by two layers at the upper part of the barrier element, for the insertion of a spare absorbent pad.

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION:

The present specification refers to the application for a patent, utility model, corresponding to a novel brief / slip, which incorporates in its structure an "urino-absorbent" compress, easily portable and changeable and whose main purpose is that of collect and store the urine that, involuntarily and very variable, flows through the patient's urethra, leaving the user practically dry, comfortable and, of course, much more lively and eager to continue living.

The "Calzonid" is indicated in those men, especially, of the third age with mild or low intensity urinary incontinence and, very specifically, in those affected by sudden and irrepressible leaks or leaks of urine or, of the so-called postmictional urinary drip, by the way, quite annoying and frequently associated with hyperplasia

Benign Prostate or "BPH" and, also, in those others with uro-genital tract infections such as acute cystitis and / or prostatitis or those affected by neurogenic bladder. FIELD OF THE INVENTION:

This invention has its main scope of application in men of the third age and, even, of any age, who suffer continuously or sporadically, of mild or low intensity urinary incontinence, such as: postmictional urinary drip, urine leaks or leaks of sudden presentation and often uncontrollable, stress incontinence, those affected by a neurogenic bladder and other causes that contribute to the elderly man, that is: between 60 and 80 years suffer from episodes of urinary incontinence of variable intensity but that overwhelms them and greatly diminishes their quality of life and, therefore, they seek a simpler, more practical and more effective solution, of course, than those that currently exist in the health market.

On the other hand, this invention has its field of application in the sanitary garment manufacturing industry, introducing a new range of anti-incontinence briefs, provided with a urino-absorbent compress and other quality elements, for those men who seek maximum safety. , comfort and personal hygiene and, of course, want to improve their quality of life since, at present, there is nothing the same or similar to the reach of your hand. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:

Thousands of men, through the times have suffered and still suffer today, the Incredible and complex nosological problem, called urine incontinence and until now, very little has been done to cure and / or control satisfactorily as annoying as disabling "disease." In this regard, it was not until the end of the 19th century when a urethrovesical catheter or a kind of preservative that was fixed to the penis and in which the urine that was draining through the urethra of the urethra was collected was used patient and when said device had been filled, the same operation was emptied and repeated, but with results, almost always, unsatisfactory. Already in the twentieth century, from 1945, with the appearance of the Foley probe in the health market and, at the same time, a series of anti-incontinence urine clamps that were applied to the penis by pinching it transversely and, in turn, obstructing the urethral duct, such as Cunninghan's clamp and other similar ones, but also with generally mediocre or unsatisfactory results. Around 1980 the "Penoring" of the Japanese house Koken appeared in the health market which, in design and theory, was very well thought out and even manufactured but, in practice, did not give the expected results. Another anti-urinary incontinence device for men that appeared in the health market of the second half of the 20th century, invented and manufactured in the US, was the so-called "Texan Catheter", that is to say: a kind of thick-walled condom that it was fixed around the root of the penis and at the distal end was attached to a tube of latex or other material, which drained into a urine collection bag or by a small "clamp" or plug, through which the user plugged or uncovered when he wanted to drain the urine retained in the reservoir. All these and many other devices and / or medical devices that have been invented for the control of the incontinence of the human being as the "panty" soaked and, still available some of them, in the international sanitary market, have constituted an advance in geriatric medicine and urology for the management of many patients affected by the problem of urinary incontinence, as a palliative and conservative treatment and not, precisely surgical, because of the latter there is also a wide and interesting repertoire of internal devices as well as surgical techniques, which do not make the case mentioned in this presentation.

As far as we know, it is not known the existence of a urino-absorbent briefs equal or similar to "Calzonid" that has been specifically designed and patented, to alleviate or control in a simple, comfortable, efficient, economic and, of course, without any risk for those affected by mild or low intensity urinary incontinence, that is: with sudden or irrepressible leaks or leaks of urine, with postmictional urinary drip, with stress incontinence or due to sphincter weakness with acute infections of bladder, prostate, neurogenic bladders, etc.

It is interesting to note here and now, that the word Calzonid is an acronym composed of two words: Calzon-cillo + Id-oneo = "Calzonid", which as a trademark is currently in the process of being registered with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, trusting to identify with this word, a new and original sanitary garment useful, comfortable and effective for the treatment or control of some forms of urinary incontinence, much more frequent in the elderly man. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:

The "Calzonid" has as its own distinctive and, in turn, differentiating from other garments, products and / or external devices currently used, in the palliative and conservative treatment of urinary incontinence in man, a key piece called "frontal parapet", located in the center of the front face of the brief and constituted by two layers of fabric in the upper half of said parapet, and three layers in the lower half. In fact, the true "crux" of the invention constitutes the aforementioned frontal parapet that is described in more detail below:

1. Said front parapet, is located vertically in the central part of the front face of the "calzonid" and is composed of two parts: 1) the upper and 2) the lower, the latter somewhat larger than the other and, in addition , very different configuration and structuring. Thus, the upper part is composed of two layers of fabric and a well differentiated compartment, located between both layers, which are joined together by their lateral flanges and by the transverse lower flange. Now, on its upper edge, the second layer is open to the recess between the two layers, which serves to easily carry the spare pads that can be used anywhere and / or at the time the user needs it.

2. The lower part of the front parapet consists of three layers. The first one carries in its central and lower third portion a sleeve through which the penis is externalized to a cabin for him alone, which is in communication from the outside on both sides or recesses and sealed tightly above and below. The second layer Ia constitutes in its entire extension a mesh of variable width, size and shape, but always sufficiently wide so that the urine that flows involuntarily or uncontrollably through the urethral meatus Ia easily transfers and then is absorbed _^ and retained by the hydrophilic or absorbent material that is impregnated with the compress placed between the second and third layer, as described below.

3. The third layer of the front parapet covers the lower part of the same, as does the mesh already described, and it constitutes a piece of cloth of variable size and configuration of cotton / wool or cotton / wool / fiber blend synthetic that, in addition, has been waterproofed to avoid that the urine absorbed in said compress cannot pass through said layer and stain the underwear, in those men with incontinence of greater intensity or, of very advanced age and / or with concomitant pathological problems .

It is interesting to note now that the lower part of the aforementioned "Calzonid" front parapet could be manufactured separately, that is: as a complementary piece and easily incorporated into the rest of the basic underpants and whose first layer contains the funnel-shaped sleeve, the second layer It is a piece of mesh that widely surrounds said sleeve and, in addition, the third layer is made of waterproofed fabric, leaving between them a sufficient space to place the urino-absorbent compress. This complement could be manufactured separately and then easily incorporated into the rest of the Calzonid, using sailboat strips, giving rise to another model of

Calzonid and, consequently, to another option to be able to choose. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS:

To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, this descriptive report is attached, as an integral part of it, a plan with 8 drawings made with computer help and in the which is illustrative and not limited to the following:

2. The second layer of said frontal parapet, referring only to the lower part, Ia constitutes a mesh that completely envelops and with amplitude to the penis and is sewn or glued by its upper angles and the entire upper flange to the external face of The first layer of the "Calzonid" and, for its lower part, to the fabric also, of the first layer from the end of both lateral cutouts configured, internally by the first layer of the "calzonid" that covers the scrotal bag and the perineum previous. 4. The invention seeks to join or weld each other of both lateral flanges, that is: those of the mesh with the lateral flanges of the third layer that covers it, thus leaving the entrances or on both sides of the front piece recesses to the cabin where the penis is well placed and in solitary isolation.

5. The invention provides for the existence of a "kangaroo" type bag in the upper half of the front parapet so that the user can carry one or more replacement absorbent pads.

6. This embodiment refers to the third waterproofed layer of the lower part of the front parapet, which controls and / or prevents moisture from spreading through the third layer, especially in those cases with severe urinary incontinence or carelessness. of the user.

There is no doubt that on what has been expressed with reference to the embodiments of this invention, there may be modifications regarding the composition, configuration and quality of the materials used, as well as the aesthetic and ergonomic aspect of the "Urine-absorbent Calzonid". Also in terms of the color and quality of the materials or fabrics and mesh used or in the design and construction of the Calzonid central and front parapet, its compartments and the type and composition of the hydrophilic or urino-attractant gel in order to improve its health benefits in the broad and complex clinical and etio-pathogenic spectrum of urinary incontinence in man. Finally, it is not considered necessary to make this description more extensive, for any man who presents postmictional drip, uncontrolled urine leakage or permanent low intensity urine incontinence so that the true scope and meaning of the invention and the advantages that are understood from it they are derived.

Claims

CLAIMS:

1. A new and original brief or slip called "Calzonid" is presented, for suitable underpants, provided with an "ad hoc" front parapet whose primary purpose is to alleviate and / or control, in a simple and practical way, the problem that The elderly men frequently present with mild or low intensity urinary incontinence, as is the case with the inopportune and uncontrollable leakage of urine and, especially, with the so-called postmictional urinary drip and, all this is achieved by isolating the penis in an own cabin, which is accessed through an "ad hoc" sleeve, located in the middle of the lower third of the first layer of the front parapet.

2. According to the first claim, the "calzonid" and, specifically, in the front parapet, repeatedly mentioned, a second layer consisting of a mesh that partially isolates the penis of the urino-absorbent compress deposited in the created space is incorporated, between said mesh and the third layer of the parapet, the latter waterproofed.

3. According to the preceding claim, in the space created between the mesh and the third layer an absorbent compress of the urine flowing through the urethral meatus will be placed, thanks to which the user will remain dry and comfortable for varying periods of time, according to the type and intensity of urinary incontinence.

4. According to the third claim, the fabric that forms the third layer is waterproofed, thus preventing the moisture produced by the urine retained in the absorption pad, if in any case it transcends the third layer, it may not exceed and, at be possible, Do not even stain, especially, on those attentive and diligent users for timely spare parts.
