Abstract

The invention relates to a method for isolating at least one cell, especially a eukaryotic cell and a prokaryotic cell, or a virus, from a complex biological sample in suspension. Said method comprises the following steps: the sample containing the cell or the virus is prepared; the sample in suspension is brought into contact with ferromagnetic particles in such a way that the cell or the virus is joined to the particles; and the particles are magnetically separated from the sample particle suspension.
