Abstract

A vehicle parking violation enforcing boot having two structures which cooperate or mate to lock the boot to a wheel to immobilize a vehicle. Upon attachment of the structures to the vehicle wheel, the boot includes a lock which secures the wheel boot in place. A user may lock or unlock the wheel boot by entering an appropriate code. Based on the code entered into the boot, a mechanical device is directed to place the lock in either its locked or unlocked state. The wheel boot also includes a lock override assembly which is configured to override the operation of the lock, to allow one who is not in possession of the appropriate 'unlock' code to remove the wheel boot.
