Abstract

A bag/ sack holder for the opening of the mouth of the bag on filling and for holding the content in place when carrying around. The device is a ring-shaped firm elastic tubular loop made of plastic material with a number of equally firm and elastic rods protruding from the down- side (of a horisontally positioned ring) Fig. 3a. On assembly, the mouth of the bag is pulled up through the centre of the ring Fig. 3b, folded over the ring and the rods of the ring penetrating the upper edge of the bag Fig. 3c. The bag is easily attached and the device is mobile, easy to hook up for a vertical position on filling or held down on ground- level for the raking in of any material to be collected. By the optimised use of gravitation force, the bag sticks firmer to the holder the heavier the weight of the bag. The application also includes a method of attaching the bag/ sack to the holder.

Description

A BAG/SACK HOLDERAND A METHOD OF ATTACHING THE BAG/SACK TO THE HOLDER
Background of the invention
The difficulties associated with keeping the mouth of a bag open and at the same time filling it with material to be collected is well known to everyone. The material or items to be collected vary; Garden refuse, household waste, any kind of trash, laundry or any other items to be gathered and put into a bag - whatever the purpose, two hands are not enough! In addition, there is a need for a device that can easily be hooked up somewhere close to the working area. Despite multiple inventions in the area of garbage collectors, the need for a multi-purpose, inexpensive, light-weight and simple device still remains great - the present invention fulfills all these requirements.
Presentation of the invention
The device invented is that of a simple ring with a few rods on the "down-side". The ring can be manufactured at low cost in different sizes, depending on purpose of use. The ring is very easy to use and functions as a bag opener and a bag holder all in one. For the purpose of storage, the ring with the bag on can easily be hung on for example a portable "S-shaped" hook. By the method of assemblage, gravitation force is utilized in order to make the bag stick increasingly harder to the ring the heavier the load.
Detailed description of the invention
The invented device is tubular ring/loop made of firm elastic plastic or similar material (Fig 1-
2). The size of the ring, both thickness and diameter, may vary depending on purpose for use.
The ring is equipped with three or more firm somewhat pointed rods made of plastic or similar material (Fig 1-2). The rods are two centimeters or longer and protrude from the down-side of the device in approximately 90 degrees angle from the surface covered by the ring (Fig. 2).
The bag is attached to the opener/holder by inserting the mouth of the bag through the centre of ring (Fig. 3a), folding it over the ring (Fig. 3b) and making the rods of the ring to penetrate the upper edge of the bag either through the plastic edge in disposable bags or through a mesh/hole/other arrangement in textile or other types of bag material (Fig. 3c).

Claims

1. A bag/sack holding device, adapted to receive and hold a bag, comprising a closed tubular firm elastic essentially ring-shaped loop element with sack holding elements essentially orthogonal to the area spanned by the loop element for collection of any material characterised in that said at least three bag holding immobile rod/stick-like elements with a length of two centimeters or longer which protrude from the "downside" of the loop (looking at a loop horisontally positioned).
2. An assembly method for bag-to-holder in whick the mouth of the bag is inserted through the centre of the ring shaped holder, folded over the loop element and the upper edge of the bag then perforated/thread over the bag fastening elements characterised in that said that the location of the bag fastening elements protruding from the "down-side" of the loop (horisontally positioned) together with the perforating/threading of the bag on the fastening elements gives a very firm attachment of the bag and an optimized use of gravitation force as the firmness of the attachment bag-to-holder increases with an increasing load/weight of the bag content.
