Abstract

The invention relates to the decoration of embossed textiles, which enables the use of macromolecular substances on thick textile pieces comprising synthetic or natural long pile in order to counteract deterioration caused by normal use or successive washing operations, conferring thereon gold and silver aesthetic effects. The textile treatment method consists in first embossing or thermoengraving a corresponding pattern disposed in an embossing mould on a thick textile piece with natural or synthetic pile. Subsequently, the embossing mould in the embossing machine is replaced with a stamping mould having an identical pattern, which stamps and prints a layer of the selected macromolecular substance, purpurin or polyester particles. The product is then applied uniformly by means of scraping using either a rod or a scraper. Finally, the folds are dried with thermal air in the same machine in order to polymerise and set the stamped product.

Description DECORATION OF GOVERED TEXTILES

[1] The invention that is protected in this Patent, consists of a decoration treatment for embossed textile materials by printing macromolecular substances.

[2] It is, therefore, a local decoration treatment that allows you to configure ornaments with various drawings, based on the primer of macromolecular substances, mainly glitter - mineral powder - and frost - polyester powder -, on the materials textiles to decorate, which achieve the optical effect of highlighting, embossed, such embossed drawings.

[3] The use of embossing on textile materials by embossing, also called thermogravure, is a practice already known and usual in the sector of manufacturing and marketing of textile products. However, the incorporation of glitter on textile products has not been possible, without giving it consistency and adherence to subsequent cleaning washes and its long-lasting use. For this purpose, with the present invention a fixing treatment is achieved, and therefore of greater durability of the printing substances.

[4] At present, various textile decoration treatments and procedures are already known and used, but they all have different operational and functional uses, especially since they have not been applied in the embossing or thermogravure field or have provided them with the qualities of stability and durability of the printed substances with which the use of the means already developed always have certain limitations against the invention presented, based on their technical and economic advantages. [5] The current technical problem is that chemical compositions for decorating textiles - mainly, glitters of various colors, and frosts or polyester flakes - are applied directly and without embossing; but when adhered only by glues or synthetic resins, its resistance and durability is poor compared to a habitual use or the cleaning and washing of the textile pieces. In addition, in the so-called textile products of natural or synthetic hair (for example, of blankets and carpets) the incorporation of macromolecular substances to provide ornamental effects has not been developed for industrial and commercial purposes given the flexibility and fragility of the fibers of hair; the ornamental effects being applied either by combinations of different pieces joined together - glued or sewn - or by prints of different drawings and colors without consistency or permanence.

Technical Solution

[6] The use of embossing or thermogravure and its execution by means of discontinuous printing procedures, and not by continuous roller procedures on textile fibers, allows a stable, homogeneous and lowered base to be configured with respect to the fibers to which no they have been treated with embossing, for the priming of macromolecular substances on which they settle, whose formulation allows a stable and lasting fixation.

[7] For all these reasons, it is equipped with innovative commercial applications in the home textile market, since it is possible to sell products with the incorporation of glitter and polyester frosts that maintain their stability and resistance in the articles textiles In sum, with the product resulting from the treatment practiced progressively and gradually, an aesthetic advantage is obtained by allowing bright macromolecular substances to be printed with gold and silver effects on embossed drawings. And a technical advantage is also achieved with a product of greater stability and greater resistance to the use of the textile piece and its subsequent cleaning, since the applied substance is printed on a flat drawing surface, along the embossed pattern, and not on fibers or long hair that are flexible materials, as a grouped filament.

Claims
