Description

NIGHT LIGHTING SLIPPER
The present invention relates to a night lighting slipper. More specifically, the invention relates to a sipper provided on its front part, with a lighting device, particularly studied and realised in order to permit lighting during night deambulation.
As it is well known, it is often necessary during the night to stand up, e.g. to eat or to go to the w.c. This action involves risk of hitting obstacles in the dark. For very old people, it can also be very dangerous. At present, in order to avoid obstacles in the dark, small lights are placed in the outlet, and thus at a low height. This permits lighting corridors in the night, thus permitting avoiding obstacles.
Main problems connected with this kind of night lighting are the following: • positioning of light is function of the position of outlets.
This causes that a zone could be not illuminated in case there are no outlets;
• during a journey, said lights are not usually transported.
Thus, not sleeping at home, and consequently in an unknown environment, often one hurts obstacles in the dark.
Moreover, in many hotel night guide lights lack. Object of the present invention is therefore that of proposing a slipper permitting lighting the path in the dark. Another object of the present invention is that of permitting lighting all along the walk.
It is therefore specific object of the present invention a night lighting slipper, characterised in that it provides lighting means supplied by at least a battery; switching means on the foot resting sole of said slipper and connected with said lighting means, said switching means enabling supply of said lighting means as a result of the resting of the foot on said sole; and timing means, connected between said battery and said switching means, suitable to maintain supply of said lighting means for a time interval after the opening of said switching means, said lighting means maintaining a constant lighting independently from the fact that said switching means are closed during said time interval. Always according to the invention, said switch can be a membrane switch, laced on the sole of said slipper in correspondence of the heel resting portion.
Still according to the invention, said slipper can comprise further switching means for disabling operation of said lighting means.
Advantageously, according to the invention, said further switching means can comprise a crepuscular switch, comprising a photoelectric cell and/or a photoelectric resistance.
Preferably, according to the invention, said lighting means can be placed on the front part and/or on the rear part.
Always according to the invention, said lighting means can comprise high luminosity LED diodes.
Still according to the invention, said timing means can comprise means for adjusting said time interval. Advantageously, according to the invention, said battery can be a rechargeable battery.
The present invention will be now described, for illustrative but not limitative purposes, according to one preferred embodiment, with particular reference to the figure of the enclosed drawing, showing a bottom view of a night lighting slipper according to the present invention.
Making reference to the enclosed figure, it is possible observing a slipper 1 , providing two lighting devices 2, such as LED {Light Emitting Diodes), preferably high luminosity LEDs. A battery 3 feeds these, by wires 4 placed in suitable channels realised in sole 6. Said battery 3 is placed within a container 5 within the rear part
6' of sole 6, i.e. in correspondence of the heel resting portion.
A membrane switch 7 is provided on the upper part of said rear part 6'. When slipper 1 is worn, weight pressure exerted by the user heel on said switch 7, closes the same so that battery 3 can feed lighting devices 2.
It is also provided a general switch 8 disabling the circuit. This permits avoiding that lighting devices 2 activates during daytime. In case, said switch 8 can be of the crepuscular type, based on a photoelectric cell or on a photoelectric resistance. In this way, switching on of the lighting device in the dark is automatically enabled.
A timing circuit is provided within container 5, comprising at least a condenser. Said timing circuit delays switching off of lighting device 1 when heel does not make pressure on switch 7. in this way, lighting devices 2 remain switched on all along walk, also when feet is lifted from the ground and again rest, thus avoiding a possible fastidious intermittent effect of lighting. Said timing circuit is mainly comprised of condenser, resistances, operative amplifiers and/or transistors.
On the basis of the previous specification, it is possible observing that the basic feature of the present invention that slipper permits obtaining a uniform lighting during each step of walking. An advantage of the present invention is that slipper can provide systems permitting disabling even automatically lighting during daytime, thus preventing batteries consumption.
A second advantage of the present invention is that being lighting device integrated within the slipper, it can be easily transported. A third advantage of the present invention is that lighting devices can be provided in both slippers, thus increasing the total illumination.
The present invention has been described for illustrative but not limitative purposes, according to its preferred embodiments, but it is to be understood that modifications and/or changes can be introduced by those skilled in the art without departing from the relevant scope as defined in the enclosed claims.
