Abstract
This invention relates to cosmetic compositions based on hyaluronic acid and colostrum for the treatment of older skin. These compositions produce unexpected results in terms of the elasticity, texture, tone, resistance, moisturising and glow of the facial skin.
Description
COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING HYALURONIC ACID AND COLOSTRUM
FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to cosmetic compositions containing hyaluronic acid, colostrum, sericin, resveratrol and tocopherols.
PRIOR ART One of the consequences of skin aging is dehydration and a deterioration in the tone, elasticity and texture of the tissues.
The consequences are clearly visible: the contours of the face become heavier and ill-defined, the area between the cheekbones and the chin becomes heavy, and the skin looks tired, toneless, dry and dehydrated. The cosmetic industry offers countless products for the treatment of older skin such as day and night creams, gel masks and moisturising fluids, firming products, products with a face-lift effect, and so on. However, the results do not always correspond to expectations. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION It has now been discovered that the combination of hyaluronic acid and colostrum is particularly effective in the treatment of older skin.
This invention therefore relates to cosmetic compositions based on hyaluronic acid and colostrum for the treatment of older skin.
More particularly, this invention relates to cosmetic compositions containing hyaluronic acid or its salts, mammalian colostrum, sericin, resveratrol and tocopherols.
According to a preferred aspect, the cosmetic compositions according to the invention contain hyaluronic acid sodium salt.
According to a preferred aspect, the cosmetic compositions according to the invention contain bovine or equine colostrum.
The content of hyaluronic acid or its salts in the compositions according to the invention will range between 0.1 and 5%, and preferably between 0.5 and 1%, and the colostrum content will range between 5 and 30%, and preferably between 10 and 20%. Sericin is typically present in percentages of between 0.1 and 2% in weight, and preferably between 0.2 and 1%, while resveratrol is present in percentages of between 0.001 and 0.1%.
Examples of tocopherols include tocopherol esters or vitamin E, in percentages of between 0.1 and 2%. The compositions according to the invention can also contain unsaponifiable fractions of vegetable oils, especially unsaponifiable fractions of Olea europaea (olive) oil.
The effect of the compositions according to the invention is greater than that obtained following separate administration of the individual constituents of the combination. This superior effect appears to be due to synergy between hyaluronic acid and colostrum, which produces unexpected results in terms of the elasticity, texture, tone, resistance, moisturising and glow of the facial skin.
More particularly, the association according to the invention: - prevents and reduces sagging of the skin; improves the tone and elasticity of the skin; - exerts an immediate, long-lasting face-lift effect; performs a long-lasting moisturising and antioxidant action; strongly firms and remodels the contours and features of the face. USE
The compositions according to the invention are suitable for all types of skin.
The compositions will be applied with a gentle massage to the perfectly
clean face and neck. The frequency of use will be several times a day.
RESULTS
Even after the first few applications, the facial skin appears better toned, more elastic, relaxed and firm, and the contours look relaxed and firmer, more compact and better delineated. Wrinkles are attenuated in terms of both number and depth. The skin glows, and is fresh, soft and revitalised. Liver spots are attenuated.
The compositions according to the invention could be formulated according to conventional methods well known in cosmetic technology, using excipients, diluents, filling agents and anti-caking agents acceptable for their final use, in particular conventional preservatives such as parabens, potassium sorbate, dihydroacetic sodium, imidazolidinyl urea, etc.
Preferred examples of formulations according to the invention are hydrogel masks, fluid gels, creams, lotions, etc.
The following are some examples of formulations according to the invention.
EXAMPLE 1 - Hydrogel formulation
